Milk Makeup's Hydro Grip Primer (45ml) boasts a silky gel formula that gives your look real staying power while remaining invisible against the skin.
This green-tinted primer glides on smoothly to form a layer that locks make up in place for up to 12 hours while granting a natural, dewy finish. Our favourite part? The formula is enriched with nourishing aloe water, hyaluronic acid, niacinamide *and* blue agave extract (hello hydration...) to deliver good-to-skin benefits at the same time. Pump 1-2 shot(s) of primer on the back of your hand. Blend a thin layer onto clean skin before make up application. Allow formula one minute to fully absorb to activate grip for all-day hold. Layer foundation and other make up on top for smoother application that lasts all day, or wear alone for fresh-faced, glassy skin.

Great product
I really enjoy this primer. I think it fills in my pores and smoothes my face well without it looking complete matte. Gives a lovely dewy look and makeup really does grip to it.

Actually exaggerates rough spots instead of smoothing
This primer makes foundation cling to areas around rough patches, making them stand out even more. Haven't noticed any improvement in how long my makeup lasts.

It’s Rubbish
It gets lumpy and the product rolls off my face. I’ve tried it and the asked other people and they have mixed reviews. Some love it and some it doesn’t work for them. I am lucky I only bought the tester. It’s so rubbish please don’t waste your time.

Mediocre / didn't work for me
I don't really use primer but I have tried a few. It didn't give that nice velvety feeling and the makeup didn't grip to it, instead, it created lumps and balls when I tried to apply my foundation. So after trying it a few times, I gave it away.

Did not work for me
I have been wanting to try this forever but it was very disappointing. I have heard very good things about it, and I now have tried it multiple times I even did half of my face with and half without and it just makes my makeup look worse. It clings in spots and does not blend. You can see where the line is where the products end. I would not recommend this for any skin type.

Patchy & pilling
I REALLY wanted to love this product but I just cannot get it to work for me. I’m 42 with fair combination skin. I have used this 4 times now with different methods & products but every time it just ends up patching & literally causing my foundation to pill & ball up on my face making it unwearable! To the extent I have to remove it & start again - minus the Milk Hydrogrip. I’ve tried it with Hourglass Vanish liquid foundation, Beautyblender Bounce foundation & Fenty Beauty too......all looked terrible. I’ve placed 1 pump on the back of my hand & patted a thin layer onto my moisturised skin leaving it to set as recommended for between 1-5 minutes before putting makeup on. I’ve tried foundation brush, Beauty Blender & just fingers to apply makeup over it all with the same disastrous results! I would love to be told I’m doing something wrong & to be able to get this to work for me but unless that happens I just hate this & am sooooooo disappointed! I stupidly invested in the big bottle, believing I would love it but sadly now all I’m left with is a bottle of product I hate & no usable primer! I can’t wait for shops to reopen & a time when we can get samples of a product before buying it!

Not what I was expecting
I got this primer because I had wanted it for ages, however, after following what it says to do my foundation was not sticking to my nose at all, and my chin was also slightly patchy. I heard such great things about how it keeps your makeup in place all day, so I am determined to keep trying until I get it to work right.

Awful awful awful
Used it with my fail-safe foundation and it caused it not to dry. My eye watered the tiniest bit and it took the foundation off in chunks, looked absolutely awful would not recommend to anyone, doesn’t grip at all causes my foundation to slip around and literally slide off my face. Wore on a night out and ruined my night as couldn’t even touch it up without it piling and making it worse!
