It’s ok but colours are way off

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

So obviously I wanted to try the new formula. I love the OG faux filter foundation. Everything about it, the smell (I know a lot of people hated this) the coverage, how it feels on my skin, etc. This new formula boy where do I start. Ok, 1, it feels very heavy/thick and it sets quickly on the skin not leaving a lot of time to blend. The coverage is defo there though. Personally, this foundation feels similar to the Derma medical foundation for covering bad acne and scarring (just my opinion) 2, the colors are totally different from the first range. I was shortbread previously which was a perfect match. However this time it’s way too dark and I'm now the vanilla shade? I’m really not sure why the shades are so off with this new launch. 3, this does not make your skin look luminous or in any way dewy!! It’s a thick Matt finish and I don’t think it gives a filtered skin look at all. The previous foundation gives a much better overall finish. To conclude I think it’s ok but it’s one of them where personally I think if the previous foundation worked for you and the scented smell etc wasn’t a problem then stick to what you know. This one isn’t any better and I think ur wasting ur money changing/trying to find a new color match as I can almost guarantee whatever shade you were before isn’t the shade you are in this new one.

Just Wrong

I absolutely love what Huda has to offer with her lip products and her eyeshadow palettes are holy grail. But honestly, would not recommend the foundation, I wish I could say otherwise but the texture on your skin literally dries and flakes off and does not go with any of my concealers (I have tried both water and silicone based) - will not be buying this one again. The colour match was horrible too, I thought that might just be on me, but it looks like most people have had the same problem, sorry Huda :(

Cakey, not ‘mask proof’ with no longevity

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

Unfortunately this foundation is the worst I have ever tried. The claims to be ‘mask proof’ are false as it comes off within minutes of wearing a mask. It is cakey, sits very odd on the skin and is extremely difficult to work with as it begins to set as soon as it touches your skin. There is also no luminosity to it at all.

Terrible colours

Have used the original of this which was okay but this new formula is terrible. Consistency is horrible and the shade ranges are totally mixed up.

Huge fan of the OG but not so much this

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I’m obsessed with the original so I had to try this but it’s not as good. U have to blend it quickly as once it dries down it does not move anywhere so try sections. It definitely clings on to my dry patches and shows pores I’ve never seen before on my face however as the foundation settles throughout the day and my natural oils come through it doesn’t look too bad so give it a few tries to get used to. It also rubbed off on my mask but after 13hours my make up still looked pretty good! I will continue to use it for the sake of purchasing it but imo the original is definitely better!!!!

Terrible!

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

Loved the original foundation. The smell, the coverage, the way it made my skin look, the longevity. But this stuff is just AWFUL!! Made my skin look so cakey with an odd texture which got worse as the day progressed. Barely lasted 2hrs before it started coming off. Huda what have you done??!

Great coverage

I got the shade Milkshake (I'm quite pale) and I was pleasantly surprised that this reformulated foundation fit me spot on. It dries quite fast so you need to work it quick, but once it's on, it's absolutely beautiful. Lasts all day, and it feels like silk or velvet on the skin. I'm very happy with it.

Colours aren't correct

Thought I'd give this product a go, I'm pale with pink undertones, ordered the vanilla colour - the picture is pale/pinky my product arrived and was beige with yellow undertones looked completely different to the sample image given.

Natural Gorgeous Finish

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

For reference, I am NC 35 skin tone (combination skin) so I picked up 310G Amaretti (also as per the original #fauxfilter). I agree with the others that the shade is a tad bit darker than the previous version but on me it's an exact match to my skin tone although I prefer wearing foundation which a bit lighter than my original skin tone. Once applied, the finish is absolutely gorgeous. I found it oxidized a bit on my skin through the day. Nevertheless, the cons are minor and quite easily workable as the finish is amazing and manages to look fresh all day!

Good foundation but...

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I liked the original foundation but the fragrance made me breakout so I got rid of it as I couldn't deal with the spots. When she announced she was releasing it with a fragrance free update I just had to buy. As much as I do like it, it does take effort to blend as it does dry quick so I have to do my face in sections to avoid that and I found that it started to separate part way through the day and looked a lil weird like dry but oily (I have oily combination skin). Also, I didn't find it to be mask proof as some transferred onto my mask. Overall good but I have to say my Charlotte Tilbury Airbrush Flawless foundation is better in terms of it staying the same throughout the day
