New formula - so disappointed

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

I loved the old formula. It oxidised but applied well and the colour was great. The new formula comes out like a paste, very cakey, not mask proof and I’m so disappointed.

Another hit from Huda

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have all three Huda foundations all three primers and both setting sprays. This is another hit from HUDa as far as I’m concerned but as with her original faux filter foundation there are buts..... Just like the original formula you have to work quickly with one pump only and a damp beauty blender. I initially hated the original until I figured out how to work with it and this version is the same. They also work better with Hudas Own primers. The shades are not always the same as the original so don’t get caught out there. I still prefer the stick version and I don’t think it’s different enough from the original to warrant buying both. But I love it and will use it all.

Cakey

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

Horrible, dries too quickly to blend properly and is cakey. After several hours it started to separate around the nose and chin area. An expensive waste of money

Better than expected

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

First mistake was not thinking about this foundation oxidizing. Choose one lighter shade before you buy, BUT the plus side to this foundation: + No smell +One pump goes a long way! ( i prime with Smashbox face primer) and the foundation glides on effortlessly. However you need to work fast as it dries pretty fast too. +the formula is transfer proof!! I have glasses and there is always some transfer. +the foundation looks flawless all day! Not often i give something 5 stars but wow. This foundation gives bang for the buck! (just make sure you test the shades. I ordered a 'Biscotti' when i actually was a 'Latte' (the oxidizing)

Full coverage

Love this as a full coverage foundation and finally no scent! It’s perfect to hide scars, blemishes and lasts me all day.

If full coverage, it's very cakey!!

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

And if you use one pump for the entire face, it's not full coverage. Plus, it separates, it's difficult to blend... I am so disappointed ☹️ I tried with mate primer, big mistake. I tried with hydrating primer, doesn't work either....

Wrong Colour

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I’ve only tried this foundation once, so feel I can’t really give it a full review. It applied okay and the finish looked okay, but I wasn’t wowed. Sadly, the shade matcher on the site suggested a shade which was way too dark for me! Why don’t all companies offer a tester kit? It seems like the only way to get it right in the current climate.

Hard to blend

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

Am really not sure about this foundation, it's a brilliant shade match for me but its really hard to work with, it's best to apply with a wet sponge but it dries so quick, hard to blend and wow is it thick. I am still playing around with it , I am thinking I might add some face oil or something to it so I can work with it more easily

Don’t Get Hooked On The Brand Name

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

I was so excited for this. I like the original liquid by Huda though admittedly it isn’t my favourite. I like that it’s in a plastic tube. I like the shade. That’s about it. FIRSTLY...if you’re looking thinking/hoping this is mask proof. It isn’t, no matter what any advert may claim. In the hour I’d wear a mask for travelling, it my nose would be red and my chin would be worn. I have a lot of foundations and none of them wear on the chin. (Side note...yes it was set in spray) Secondly. It broke me out. Halting the use started to clear my skin. Other reviewers have said this contains oils and a scent so I can guess one or both of these irritated my skin. Thirdly...this does not wear well. It couldn’t survive a mask and it did not survive the day. Separation, collection, sitting in pores, I had it all. I don’t recommend this product...I recommend you don’t get blinded by the Instagram high brand and instead search for something else.

I’ve tried different foundations for years and I have never found a complete fit until I found this!! My skin can go greasy one day to completely dry the next so I was used to using two types of foundations until I found this. I would defiantly recommend using moisturiser and primer before use which I was a bit sceptical about at first however it did really fit onto my face with long lasting results! If you don’t use moisturiser or primer beforehand I would say it may not be the product for you but that's only for the reason of it doesn’t quite sit on the face for as long and you would need to use powder after!
