A Real Faff
Very messy. You most definitely need gloves or you will have to bleach your hands! I bought this mainly to tone down the reddish hue from an old professional dye job I was growing out and didn't like. I would say that this product did tone the red down a little (also the fine greys I have), but I didn't really like the feel of my hair afterwards - it felt a little powdery and stiff and I imagine it the coats the hair rather than dying it permanently. The effect also didn't last very long - I wash my long fine oily hair every day, and therefore it was all a bit of a waste of time for me. I'd say that if you use this product, you have to ensure you have gloves and the proper tools to hand: old towel, cover for clothes, dye applicator for around hairline (put product into bowl and apply from there), gloves, etc. I'm reluctant to bother again with this to be honest as it's a real faff.

My hair was a little too light blonde, after a recent hair colouring, so I bought this to deepen the tone slightly. I bought medium blonde and left it on for about 6 mins as wasn’t sure what the end result would be. I know my hair is porous too. It did change colour slightly but as I feared it was a little too warm for me. The condition of my hair was lovely though, but this conditioning effect only lasted until my next wash. Most of the hair colour also disappeared after my second wash ( I always shampoo twice). I didn’t need to use much of the bottle on my shoulder length bob. It’s a bit of a palava if I need to use this twice a week, so I probably won’t use it again.

Smells like fish
Put the product on as soon as it arrived was so excited to try this after watching loads of videos on it, but as soon as I put it on all I could smell was fish- even my family was walking around the house saying what’s that fishy smell. I had to rinse out immediately. I’ve seen the product work well on videos at keeping your hair vibrant if you can get past this then I’m sure it’s a good product.
