Promising a pro-level mani from the comfort of your sofa (we’re sold already), Manucurist’s Green Flash Base is the first step in acing a gel nail routine you’ll love — without smothering your nails in iffy ingredients you’re not so keen on.
Designed to add a layer of protection to even the weakest of nails, all while coating them in an adherent natural resin that will keep nail polish chip-free for up to 10 days. Think of the Green Flash range as gel nails, reimagined: all the high shine, vibrant colour and impressive longevity, without any of that tell-tale thickness on the nail. All this and the base coat is formulated with 84% bio-sourced ingredients including sugar cane, corn, wheat and cotton — all of which are biodegradable and a whole lot better for the environment.
1. Prepare your nails as usual for a manicure: remove cuticles, shape nails and degrease the nails with an acetone-free nail polish remover.
2. Apply the Green Flash Base Coat in thin layers and seal in the free edge of the nail.
3. Place nails under an LED lamp for 1 minute under the 36W setting or 2 minutes under the 18W setting. Follow with a gel nail colour.
Alcohol Denat., Shellac, Bis-Hema Poly (1,4-Butanediol) -9 / Ipdi Copolymer, Ethyl Trimethylbenzoyl, Phenylphosphinate.

Works well
I really like the green flash system and this base coat is an essential part to make the polish last. I’m not comparing it to traditional gels but it works well.

Great primer
Only been using for a few weeks but it has helped to strengthen my nails after a poor quality manicure that caused my nails to become brittle and broken.

Love manicurist and they’re little system! Makes putting gel on your toes each and nails so easy! Always hated removing after but it’s so easy! It actually peals offÂ

Great!
This only needs a nice and thin lick, in three easy swipes and your base coat is ready for the lamp. I find done right this really makes you base easy to layer on and apply your colour on, I find with a little practise you'll start to get your at-home manicure perfectly done and easy. Again though I do want to share if you're used to getting your gels done with traditional gel polishes these don't last as long but still has good longevity.
