DISCOVER RAE MORRIS
Understanding that brushes are the cornerstone of covetable cosmetics, Rae Morris crafted the world’s first magnetic tools. Sourcing the best brush producers in Japan with over 180 years of experience, the brand’s brushes are inspired by calligraphy pens used in Japanese culture. Depositing pigment seamlessly onto skin, the brand’s range of ‘Jishakus’ are not only renowned (and award winning) but allow you to create effortless looks, without the need for excessive blending.
MEET THE FOUNDER
Rae Morris’ foray into the make up industry wasn’t linear. Although passionate about beauty, she was a hairdresser first, opening her own salon when she was just 19. However, after working backstage at the ‘Model of the Year’ pageant in Istanbul, she was pushed into the make up industry by Naomi Campbell. After having an argument with her MUA (who then stormed out), Naomi locked eyes with Rae across the room and asked her to “fix my lipstick” before a barrage of photographers stormed in... and just like that Rae was thrown into the make up industry. She returned home to Australia and was trained by legendary artist Richard Sharah. Since then, she has gone on to work on some of the world’s most recognised faces and written four bestselling books — ‘Makeup - The Ultimate Guide (2008), ‘Beautiful Eyes’ (2009), ‘Express Makeup’ (2010), ‘Timeless Makeup’ (2012), and ‘Quick Looks’ (2013).
