What started as experimental candle-making in a Los Angeles kitchen has evolved into a world-coveted range of olfactory offerings that are so much more than their intriguing scents and effortlessly chic vessels. The brainchild of co-founders and real-life partners Matthew Herman and David Kien, Boy Smells’ inclusive ethos – one that rejects traditional gender norms and transcends the gender binary – means that their all-natural wax candles are made for anyone and everyone.
A stunning olfactory offering housed in black glass with a pastel pink label, Boy Smells’ PETAL Candle is a heady blend of flowers that will whisk you on a journey to exotic foreign climes.
Encapsulating fragrance in a coconut and beeswax blend with braided cotton wick, this beautiful candle releases the scent of tree flowers – magnolia, night-blooming tuberose and purple geranium – with opulent rose and a green, woody whisper of sage. Patchouli and amber then lend a smooth, velvety edge while a warm, musky base works to ground the ethereal perfume. Totally intoxicating, burn this in your boudoir to create a cosy ambience, or fill an airy hallway with the scent of Polynesia’s balmy breeze. A ‘full frontal’ floral, there’s nothing low-key about this bold bouquet…
For optimal burning, trim wicks to a ¼” before each light to avoid smoking and overheating. Once the flame is extinguished make sure the wick is upright and centred. The first burn of any candle should be long enough for the entire top layer of wax to liquify. This will ensure an even burn for each light. Refrain from burning candles longer than three hours at a time, and never burn a candle when there is less than ¼” of wax at the base. Always protect the surface on which the candle sits.
Approx. 50 hrs burn time.

Boy Smells Petal Candle
This is a lovely candle, it has a fairly strong but not over powering smell that fragrances my room even when unlit. It has a floral smell but also reminds me of a baby lotion, skin like smell. Really nice not sweet or cloying. Love it will definitely repurchase as they offer great value for a luxury candle.
