Putting a face to the voices you trust to help *you* navigate our abundance of cleansers, spot treatments and fast-acting masks, meet Lena, Billy and Patty – three fellow skin care obsessives – who love nothing more than addressing your beauty bugbears (and creating new die-hard #CultBeauties).
Lena
A former make up artist (who developed a huge crush on skin care), Lena creates masterful make up looks but is ALL about acing the base. Knowing that great make up starts with great skin, Lena understands ingredients and practically fizzes with enthusiasm – eagerly sharing the tales of her latest discoveries. Embodying kindness, Lena’s the beauty best friend (BBF) you’ve been dying to meet – a Cult Beauty enthusiast (she truly loves the ‘Cult’) – whose knowledge of our inventory’s encyclopaedic…

Billy
Let’s hear it for the boys! Charm personified, Billy is the ultimate ambassador for Cult Beauty’s ethos – there’s no query too big or small for this generous soul, whose smile can be heard through the ‘phone. Obsessed with skin care from his infancy (Billy believes his pursuit for ‘eternal youth’ started when still in single digits #dedication), he’s fascinated by ‘the science bit’ and loves to understand how products work. Now seriously clued-up, his knowledge has been earned through years of trial and error – he admits to “washing off [his] toner” in the early days, having no idea what he was doing…
When it comes to Cult Beauty, Billy loves the way our buyers cherry-pick the best of the best. “I love how we sometimes don’t stock the full range of some brands – we really believe in each and every product”, and this love of honesty is one of his key characteristics. “I really value transparency. Customers often remark on my honesty – I won’t advocate anything I’m not certain will work for the client.”

Patty
An actress by trade (she graduated from drama school), Patty brings an air of gravitas to Cult Beauty’s proceedings. Calm, considered and abundantly sincere, she came to beauty accidentally – she needed something flexible to work around her projects and auditions – so started temping on the beauty counters at department stores and swiftly fell in love with helping others (and the chance to play around with countless products!).
An absolute asset to #TeamCultBeauty, Patty forges bonds and has a fabulous rapport with several customers who seek her out for consultations. “I have a fantastic relationship with one of my clients – we talk on the telephone often, about everything from new products to Love Island – we’ve even been for lunch together. A fellow heath and beauty nut, we’re even planning a spa trip!”
Skin type: combination mostly (also partial to a cigarette or two!)
Biggest bugbear: hormonal acne which leads to inflammation/pigmentation on my skin. I use SPF everyday as I get tiny moles on my cheeks (it’s a common issue for some people with deeper skin tones), so always use a product with a tonne of antioxidants and UV filters.
