THE INKEY LIST - Oat Cleansing Balm

THE INKEY LIST Oat Cleansing Balm Reviews

    Formula was odd
I've been buying this product pretty much since it came out but in the recent tube I've bought the formula was oddly different, it had little white balls/flecks in if so it irritates my sensitive face. It could be due to a bad batch or something but I cannot use it. I want to be able to use it because it would be a waste but I simply can't :(
    A good cleansing balm
Amazing and affordable cleansing balm. I love to use it as the first cleanser when I double cleanse. In Winter it can be pretty hard to extract it from the tube but the product is great.
    More honey than oat
This balm has the exact same smell and texture as one of these homemade honey masks/scrubs, it even has little chunks in it. I find it too thick and sticky to my liking but does the job.
    Amazing product
Amazing product, removes makeup well and doesn’t irritate my skin. I’m on my 3rd tube, I love it!
Great product once you figure out how to use it
As far as cleansing balms go - this is a great one! The things that differentiates from other balms is: 1. Packaging 2. It works best when adding water. Both of these I'd consider advantages!
    Good balm shocking packaging
Really liked the balm, went on nicely and ADORED the smell. Great for first cleanse & make up removal. However the packaging is awful. The force required to get the balm out was ridiculous and burst the tube on first use. Won’t buy again because of this sadly.
    Love it!
I previously left a review on here which initially was a negative review due to the packaging of this product (I was unable to use my first bottle as it had busted). Cult beauty emailed me with their apologies and sent me out a new tube free of charge. I’ve given the oat balm a couple of days to try it out and I must say it is amazing. I’ve given it 4 stars because I’ve not used it long enough but I am really impressed. My pores are visibly cleaner after each use and I actually love the ‘oily film’ it leaves on my skin. This is my first cleanse so after I’ve used the salicylic cleanser as my second cleanse from TIL the oily film is gone. The consistency is lovely and there is no smell to the product. Will definitely be repurchasing when I’ve finished this tube.
    Amazing for an night routine
I have combination skin (struggling with oily T-zone) and it was too oily at first, but then I started mixing it with a regular cleanser in my evening routine. It nourishes my skin and I really enjoy using it now.
    Just meh
I was rather disappointed in this as it's quite hyped. This hardly removed my eye makeup and left this an uncomfortable film on my skin. It removed sunscreen and face makeup alright, but doesn't budge waterproof makeup. I wouldn't dare use this without a double cleanse step because it makes my face feel really greasy and like it had a film if I don't clean it off, and I have dry skin.
    Too Oily
I tried it and was a bit disappointed. Now looking at other reviews, I should have read more carefully. For me, it is not a cleanser. It leaves the skin oily, and a layer of that comes off only when using some other cleanser. With water, it was impossible to get it fully off my face. So I guess it depends on what you like. I have normal skin and like to feel that my face has been properly cleaned and breathes. I don't wear much makeup, so I can’t comment on dissolving makeup.
    Great first cleanse
The balm melts on your face and easily picks up all of your makeup or sun cream. Great product at an amazing price
    Rich in texture, quite effective
This just melts your make-up away without any extra rubbing. It is rich in texture, so I don't think I will be using it in summer, but for winter it was great, I use it as a first cleanser and then wash off, because it does leave a film on. I was disappointed though that after not using the bottle for a month (travel), the oil did get separated from the product.
I keep coming back to this balm! Amazing value for money and does the job of removing everything.
    Absolute favourite!
Love this product! It's such a great cleanser and leaves my skin silky and moisturised after. I have combinations skin and it doesn't make my skin oily. Removes makeup easily. Also love using it as a mask once a week!
    Love this balm
I love this balm. It is nice and nourishing. Leaves my skin smooth and removes my makeup very well. It even removes my mascara (not waterproof). This balm also does not sting in my eyes which is huge plus for me.
    A new favourite
A really gentle cleanser that leaves my skin feeling amazing. The only reason I didn't give it 5 out of 5 was that the tube burst on the first use and I couldn't get the product out.
    Would not be without it
I absolutely LOVE THIS balm as a first cleanse. It takes everything off with no effort and leaves my skin feeling amazing.
Great cleanser for a great price
First time I tried this after being recommended by Sali Hughes and will definitely buy again. A good size bottle too.
    Almost perfect
This takes off makeup really easily - even waterproof mascara. It’s soothing on the skin and doesn’t irritate my eyes. My only problem is that because the formula is so thick, it’s hard to squeeze out of the tube. Perhaps a tub would make for better packaging?
    The best cleansing balm
It really works like a balm. My dry skin loves it!
I hope this will be around forever
Love it! Have sensitive dry skin, and this actually calms my skin down. Takes off makeup with no problem and no left-overs. Noticed a lot of people don't like the scent - I actually love it! A kind of oaty, not intense (sort of bland) scent. No problem with the packaging either (for me). You have to squeeze a bit harder, which would be a problem for people who have problems with their hands (disabilities).
Melts makeup but leaves oily film
This product does what it says; it melts away any makeup and dirt. It's easy to use and melts to an oily balm between your hands. It feels very smooth and calming on the face. I always double cleanse, and this is my first cleanser. However if I wouldn't follow up with my second cleanser this one leaves an oily film as residue. Perhaps this is not a problem depending on how comedogenic it is, but as someone with combination leaning on oily skin this kind of residue scares me. You get a lot of product for your money, and you don't need to use a lot. Maybe I'll try to use this on it's own after my second cleanser runs out to see how I get along with the residue.
    Perfect for dry skin
Removes makeup and the dirt from the day without stripping my dry skin - stopping the tight feeling.
I was recommended this and I love it. It’s made my skin feel amazing.
    Not for me
When I first bought it right after release it was so lovely and washed away easily. But the last 2 tubes that I have bought have been horrible! Yes, the tube is easier to squeeze but the oils are slightly separated and they don't emulsify and wash off as easily anymore. Even after thorough washing, I still feel like I need to go in with another cleanser because my skin feels oily. That was not the case with the original formulation. So sad they changed it :(
removes makeup and sunscreen very well. doesn't give me breakouts.
    Oat cleansing balm
Does the job - cleanses the skin thoroughly, whilst also feeling nourishing and really gentle on the skin! I have combination/dry skin which is sensitive and acne-prone, and I must say compared to other cleansing balms I’ve used, I think this is really good value and helps remove my makeup well including mascara. I was sceptical at first given some people's comments that said it had a “grainy” texture, but I didn’t experience this at all (I apply this on wet skin). Would purchase again!
Confused? Is it a cleanser or a mask?
The instructions state on the package that you can use this as a cleansing balm but also as a face mask. I'm unsure how that makes sense because you still have residue of skincare & makeup sitting on your face mixed with the cleansing balm. Secondly, the balm is oily and heavy; you must use another strong cleanser to remove all of it. Even after you wash it off the oily residue remains. If you follow their instructions and just do this and leave it, I can guarantee you will have breakouts.
    Oat Cleanser
I really like this product. It gets rid of all make up, sunscreen and dirt and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry afterwards. I use it twice in a row in the evening and my skin loves it.
    Amazing First Cleanse
I have reactive, acne prone skin and sensitive eyes and find that most cleansing balms leave my skin and eyes irritated and leave a film on the skin. This, however, has become a holy grail. It doesn’t break me out, doesn’t irritate my skin or eyes and removes all makeup and SPF. I use it as the first step in a double cleanse but on very irritated days I simply use this and it works wonders.
    Works well
I ordered this and got it fast along with other stuff. I received it and it was busted, however, they sent a replacement straight away with no issues so the customer service was great so no complaints. I use this once a day in the evening when removing my makeup and then follow with a non-oil cleanser and it works great. I was a little cautious with this because I have oily/ combination skin so I was scared I could break out but it works great to get rid of makeup without having to scrub and irritate the skin. I fully recommend as it’s a great way to really break down and remove makeup from your pores. It’s also great value for money because it’s a big tube and a little bit goes a long way so it lasts ages. Highly recommend removing makeup and refresh face however, this has to be followed up with another cleanser otherwise it could cause breakouts so just have to keep that in mind and if you don’t wear makeup this isn’t the best cleanser in my opinion because it’s an added step that’s probably not necessary.
    Just nice
I have been using this as a first cleanse in the evening to remove makeup. I am 42 & have combination skin with a shiny t-zone & slightly dehydrated cheeks. This is a very gentle balm with no noticeable fragrance. I feel it would be great to use if you have very sensitised/reactive skin & need a plain soothing cleanser that won’t irritate you. It takes a decent amount of makeup off but you definitely need to double cleanse as there is always some foundation left after 1 cleanse with this. It’s a good basic cleanser, it doesn’t excite me & I don’t look forward to using it like I do my Medik8 cleanser but it does a job. Not sure I would rush to repurchase but it’s a good price & a good amount of product that does a decent job.
    Love it!
Was so soft and soothing to my sensitive skin
    Oat cleansing balm
Love this cleanser! My skin doesn't feel stripped and feels super moisturised!! I also love the fact it can be used as a mask. Forever a The Inkey List fan.
    An amazing first cleanse
Love this product! It really does melt away make-up and leave my skin feeling soft and nourished. I think the formula is perfect for people with dry/sensitive skin but it may leave someone with oily skin feeling a bit congested as it does leave a greasy film on the skin. HOWEVER this could also be avoided so long as you use this as a FIRST step in your cleansing routine. For reference, I follow this up with a milk cleanser (also on this website).
    Not 'amazing'
I was quite disappointed with this cleanser, to be honest. It didn't do a good job of removing my eye makeup at all and when I was squeezing the product out of the tube, it was so hard that air burst at the top of the tube and the product came out. I think the packaging should be reviewed as the product is too hard for the packaging that's been chosen. I think I will continue to use it on days that I have no makeup on.
    Good for removing make up
I tried this as part of a new daily double cleansing skin routine, but it didn’t work amazing for my skin when I used it every day. I have oily skin and cystic acne, and I’m sure this works great for daily use for some skin types but just not mine. This is the first oil cleanser I have tried and this did leave my face quite shiny and oily (which isn’t a huge surprise). It didn’t help my acne or make it worse. Although this doesn’t work on my skin for daily use, I did repurchase it as I do now use it on the days when I wear makeup as it is amazing for removing any makeup and ensuring no makeup is left in my pores to cause breakouts. A little bit goes a long way.
    Amazing for dry/irritated skin.
This Cleanser was such a treat for my dry skin this winter. I love how gentle it is and how soft and hydrated my skin feels after using it. Another big plus for me is the fact that this balm is fragrance free because I can use it to remove my eye makeup without irritating my eyes!
    Impossible Packaging
I find all the INKEY product packaging to be poor but at least you can get the product out. This is by far the worst. I spent the first 20 minutes wondering if there was a clear bit of plastic blocking the nozzle or if this one was faulty. Its really awful.
This was the first cleansing balm I ever used, so maybe I'm just not knowledgeable about balms. My main issue with this product is that it leaves my skin really oily. It's like it doesn't wash off at all. However, it does leave my skin insanely soft. When I use a basic cleanser after it, it's great though. My skin is still soft, and the second cleanser removes the oiliness. This combo also seems to remove all my makeup very easily without stripping my skin.
    Great product, terrible packaging!
Absolutely fabulous as a first cleanse/makeup remover, but it’s nearly impossible to get out of the tube unless you leave it on a radiator for a couple of minutes or squeeze it so hard you get hand cramps.
It's a nice product, but it does not remove my foundation very well, even after one minute of massage. The skin is hydrated and soft but you need to double cleanse because the balm leaves greasy film on the face.
    Loved this product!
Removes make up very well and leaves my skin soft!
    Very moisturising cleanser
I love this cleanser and it will be a staple in my routine. I have combination sensitive skin and this cleanser really calms my skin and makes it so soft. No other cleanser makes my skin this soft. I think the formulation has improved as it is much easier to squeeze out the tube. Definitely recommend for any skin type.
    Amazing stuff
I’ve used this for around a week now and I’ve noticed a big change in my skins moisture levels! My skin feels so hydrated and soft, I massage this into my face for a minute and you can also leave this on for a few minutes as a mask. Really good for dry skin.
New holy grail product for me! I’ve finally found a cleanser for my dry, sensitive skin that feels like it’s actually doing something. It is actually a treat to cleanse my skin now. Great value for money, too!
    Perfect for a double cleanse
I use this in the evening to take off makeup/ sunscreen. It’s so gentle and works amazingly well. The tube is big too, so it will last a long time. A little goes a long way.
Saved my skin, I'm pretty sure
I had quite a bit of hormonal acne and dry skin and I decided to try out this product. I started with double cleansing with this first and the salicylic acid cleanser second. It took me a month to understand that I don't seem to benefit from double cleansing and I just kept using only this during my evening routine. Incredible, my skin is hydrated and my skin barrier is feeling better. I'm feeling more moisturised and confident thanks to this. I'll definitely repurchase.
Good product at removing all the makeup of your face and its very hydrating. I would recommend using another cleanser after this because it can leave a greasy residue.
This is a really lovely balm - it melts nicely and it's fragrance free! Does a nice job taking off my sunscreen as a first cleanse. It doesn't work well with my contact lenses tho - so just have to remember to take them out before washing my face. Great product, great price!
    Double cleansing star!
I’ve tried different cleansing oils, but they feel too heavy on the face, and get in the eyes no matter what. This one on the other hand is amazing! I wear sunscreen every day and apply a lot throughout the day. A regular cleanser would never get that off alone, but this does the job. This is always step 1 in my nighttime skincare routine. No need to use in the AM, only at night. I’ll keep buying this forever! Also, the price, amazing!
    First time balm-er
I normally opt for a double cleanse with an oil cleanser so this is the first time I'm trying a balm. The product is super thick and like others, I found it hard to extract from the packaging. It does a great job at removing make up without irritating sensitive areas. Again the packaging lets it down as make up smears all over the white tube!
    Good but not amazing!
I’ve now repurchased this product but the only thing I’d say is it’s really difficult to get out of the tube.. I asked inkey list about this and their advice was to run the tube under warm water- works a charm! The first tube I got the texture of the balm was quite gritty, but don’t seem to have this issue with the second tube so it feels much better on my face. I don’t think it takes all of my makeup off though, and I don’t wear a lot which is annoying but my second cleanser removes any small bits that have been left behind. Overall it makes my skin feel amazing and the makeup does melt away.. Think I just need better technique!
    Works great
Works great as a makeup removing balm. I would not use it as a "cleanser" that needs to be used on dampened face as the how to use section suggests.
Product is amazing, the packaging isn’t..
I’ve bought this balm two times. It’s a really nice balm, it feels quite solid in the beginning but as you rub it into the skin, it almost feels like a soft oil. I have dry skin and this is great for taking of my make up, and as a first cleanse. I absolutely adore it and will keep using it. But there is a huge negative.. the packaging. The first time I used it, it was a little bit hard to get the product out but I got it to come out eventually. I didn’t realise that as I was trying to squeeze the product out, the top of the packaging had broken. A few days later, my product started to go moldy because of this. I just bought a new one and received it today. I was a lot more careful this time, but the seal broke again, and the cap doesn’t close properly. I wish the Inkey List would invest a little more in packaging, I would be very happy to pay a few cents extra if that makes sure that my product doesn’t go to waste.. here’s the ordering another one. Hopefully third time’s a charm!
    Even removes biro pen gently
I love this product. It’s really gentle, takes makeup including mascara off with no effort and when my toddler coloured her hands in with biro pen this took it off without having to scrub. Her hands didn’t have a pen mark or redness.
    It’s great!
Only need a small to remove makeup and it’s so inexpensive. I have oily and acne prone skin and it has been working out great so far. I love it!
    Really great!
I love this. For the price point, it's really great. I find that it takes all my make up off really beautifully except for my mascara. It does take it off but I find I really have to rub at it to get it off. It hydrates my dry skin (due to using tretinoin) and using it as a mask is also really really nice. It can separate in the tube, but if u keep it somewhere cool it should be fine. Lovely product!
    A good soothing first cleanse
I use this as a first cleanse and then follow up with a water based cleanser, I wouldn't use this as my only cleanser. I have a bit sensitive, dry and acne prone skin and this balm is quite soothing, especially if I leave it on for a few minutes. Would re purchase, especially considering the price.
    It’s okay ...
I have combination dry skin and this is the first cleansing balm I’ve tried, that leaves my skin feeling nice and hydrated. The oat powder gives it a bit of a grainy texture, perfect for mild exfoliation. I usually follow up with a water cleanser to avoid clogging the pores. It had a very thick consistency the day I received it, to the point where it was hard to squeeze it out of the bottle - however, I didn’t like how a few day's worth of sitting on my shelf turned it into a complete liquid.
    Bad choice of packaging!
The formula is so thick it is almost impossible to squeeze out of the tube. I had to squeeze so hard that I thought the tube would explode. I honestly want to return the product due to the poor choice of packaging, this really should have been put in a tub like other cleansing balms. I simply cannot get any product out to use so I will have to cut the tube and scoop it into something else which is such a shame and not ideal.
    Great makeup remover
I use this balm as a makeup remover and it works very well! Removes my makeup easily and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or dry. The instructions do say you can use it as a 10-minute mask as well which I tried and my skin felt soft afterward but wouldn't say it's revolutionary as a mask. Very affordable and good size so will last a decent amount of time. I like that it is in a squeezy tube as well which is easier to use than a pot balm. Would definitely buy it again.
    LOVE love love
I love this cleanser. This was the second balm cleanser I have ever tried so I am quite new to balm cleansing, but this cleanser has converted me to balm cleansers. It is so buttery and greasy, it gets rid of all your makeup and spf and leaves your skin feeling so soft and supple. If you are scared of this clogging your pores, don’t be. I follow this up with a gel cleanser in the evening. I absolutely can not be without this. Plus Caroline hirons love this so extra points hee hee. Buy this!
    This is so good
Gets off my makeup so easily without irritating my skin and leaves it feeling so hydrated
    Almost perfect...
I really like this and I'll be repurchasing it! The consistency sometimes is off (some times too much liquid not enough balm other times the opposite). It melts off makeup effortlessly and keeps my skin super smooth. I've been using it every day for 3 months and I've barely used half of it. Definitely value for your money!
    Love it BUT....
Would love for an option to upload a picture in to here. I really love this product. I got it delivered today and used it just now for the first time, I left it on for 5 minutes as I read it can be used as a mask as well. And WOW! The immediate effect I felt on my skin was soooo soothing its unbelievable. It removes quite well as well but I did go with my Simple micellar facial cleansing gel wash afterwards. After I patted my face down and looked myself in the mirror after I stepped outside my warm (not hot) shower I also noticed my rosacea toned down quite a bit! And here goes the BUT..... the tube broke... on my first day of using this balm, it is quite difficult to get product out... the seal on top of the tube unsealed quite a bit. I don’t know what I'm going to do now. I will keep repurchase this again after I run out of this one but that's the only thing in mind, be careful trying to get the product out. Would be very nice if they repackaged this somehow. Great balm though.
    Simply the best
Can’t get enough of this. It cleans you like nothing else.
    Not as hoped
I bought this cleansing balm as I thought it was a well-priced alternative to other balms which I love. I also thought the tube would travel better and take up less space than a heavy, bulky pot. However, there is a reason cleansing balms usually come in pots... I have to squeeze so hard for even a tiny bit of this solid balm to come out of the tube that I just haven’t been reaching for it. I feel like I’m going to split the tube every time I use it. The cleanser itself is fine, nothing to rave about, it does its job so maybe I’ll save it for hot holidays when the room temperature will soften the balm and it will come out easier.
    Growing on me
I did initially review this as following use as a mask, so here's my second review. after using as a cleanser for a week my opinion has changed. It does leave a waxy film on my skin even after removing with a hot cloth, but I don't mind that. It is slightly drying on my face but doesn't leave my skin feeling tight, but for the money and quantity, you get its far more economical than the current high-end brand I use. It doesn't smell of anything much so if its a spa like experience your after then this product ain't it, but if you want a cheap reasonably decent balm cleanser that leaves your face clean and bright then you could do far worse than this!
Broke me out in “fungal acne”
I purchased this to remove my makeup and as a first step of my 2 step cleanse. I’m a teacher so didn’t use this the whole time we were in lockdown and only started using this in September. Initial thoughts when I first used this was ‘wow this is hydrating’. But by the end of the first week of school, my skin had erupted in these little bumps on my forehead which resembled fungal acne. I kept on using it for a couple more days but they just got worst. So I stopped using it and went back to micellar water followed by a cleanser. The bumps have now gone and my complexion is a lot smoother since I stopped using this.
Nice cleanser, feels good on the skin and is very affordable. Only downside: I really hate the scent. I like my cleanser scentless or with a pleasant smell, but this one just smelled like a bag of dry porridge. Would buy it again, if the smell was better...
Not bad, but not the best either
I actually don't know what I was expecting but this wasn't it. It actually appealed to me as a mask rather than a cleanser, but hey a double-duty product is always welcome. Firstly it's not a bad price for the amount you get, I've paid far more for far less. The packaging is as you'd expect, functional. I shook the bottle vigorously to ensure the product was mixed. The product itself is actually quite thick and didn't easily come out of the tube which is good. Nice texture but I felt quite greasy, emulsified nicely between fingers. I confess I slapped a thick layer on with the intention of using as a mask, then left it on for about 30 minutes, not the 10 it states. I expected to see patches where the product had sunken in as I am on the dry side and my skin drinks up everything, I didn't. I then removed with a hot cloth. Skin looked dewy and felt nice, and yes there was a film on the skin, almost waxy, but this didn't bother me as I use balms constantly. I then finished with the usual creams etc. So is it any good? Well as a mask I didn't rate it that much, I prefer something thicker and a bit meatier, as a cleanser probably a bit better, it's mild, soft and gentle and not bad but to be honest it doesn't make me want to part with my Elemis cleansing balm which I feel leaves my skin in better condition. Sadly I probably won't repurchase.
Excellent Oil Cleanser for Double Cleansing
I stumbled across this cleanser as I was looking for a more thorough oil cleanser step in my evening double cleansing regimen. Goes on smooth but with enough weight to make you feel like you aren't just rubbing oil on your face. After a short time using, my complexion definitely has less breakouts and I feel like my hyperpigmentation is clearing up even more quickly. Definitely worth it and is a staple in my routine!
I really like this. It feels kind and cleans well.
This cleanser actually makes me look forward to washing my face in the evening. Make up comes right off, doesn't sting the eyes and leaves my skin smooth. I do have quite sensitive and dry skin and love that this leaves me feeling nourished rather than dried out.
It's like a first cleanse but on the instructions it says to Avoid contact with eyes so what's the point.. anyway, leave's such a film on the face that I feel like I have to then do another double cleanse with the second cleanser. feels like I'm washing off a thick honey mask or something..
A nice gentle cleanser but the packaging isn't great. Difficult to squeeze out at times, wish it came in a jar. The texture is very thick and needs to be removed with a damp washcloth to remove residue. I use it to melt off any SPF and makeup, then follow with a regular cleanse. Love the ingredients, super simple and calming for sensitive skin.
    Real good
Such a beautiful and calming balm. cleans everything but you need a second to cleanse or hot muslin if you are combo/oily. It could be better if it emulsified better and for my bottle, liquid and solid parts separate which is not ideal.
    Good balm cleanser
Very hydrating cleanser, quite nice texture, however I would not recommend it as a 2nd clease for oily skin since it leaves a but of grease on your face. I did use it as a 2nd cleanse because some of the reviews here said it could be used as this step. Make sure to wipe it off after you're done with washing. Smells a bit like this Bulgarian "dish" called "popara" which is just white bread in tea/hot water with sugar and feta cheese.
    The best
Lovely and oily when you rub it all over your face but wipes off perfectly clean with a wet and warm microfibre cloth. Takes all of my makeup off, including mascara and it’s so gentle -perfect for all skin types. My skin feels clean and soft! A must-have for everyone.
I love this product, I use it as the first step of my double cleanse and it gets rid of all the makeup. It also leaves my skin feeling soft and hydrated. For the price, it’s definitely worth trying and the results are great:)
    Pretty decent
It’s my go to Pre cleanse. It’s gentle on the skin and calming. It does melt quite a bit in the summer while my order balm doesn’t. It still works though.
    Must buy bargain profuct
I love this product, I’ve ordered it twice now as I’m so impressed with it. The smell isn’t the best & at first it feels like you’re putting Vaseline on your face but it’s all worth it as my skin absolutely loves it. I’ll definitely keep using this, it’s so good I’ve got my fiancé using it & we’re both loving the glow!
    Great 1st cleanse
Nice texture, removes make-up and spf in one go and cheap, what more can a girl want?
This cleanser is a dream for dry skin - It leaves the skin soft and nourished. Also the amount of product you get for the price is mind blowing. Honestly you can't go wrong !!!
    Lush cleanser for dry skin
I bought this as I knew oats are really good for helping heal some skin problems, as I have very dry, sensitive skin. There's a lot in the tube and it lasts ages, as you do only need a small amount! It's not bitty or chafing at all even though it's not perfectly smooth, it cleans every bit of makeup off nicely and doesn't leave my skin feeling tight or sore after. I'm definitely restocking when it runs out - which will be ages yet even though I use it daily. Love it!
    Blissfull Balm
Absolutely love this. Not only does it cleanse but it leaves your skin feeling moisturised too. It is a balm so has a slightly oily feel but that is the point! Reminds me of a Decleor product I've previously used but at a fraction of the price. Well done Inkey x
    Easy Breezy Cleanser
I've tried a few higher end cleansers and prefer this one. Great product, price point & quantity. Also cleans off make up really well as part of a double cleanse.
    Amazing and a fantastic price
Don't have anything bad to say. It's amazing and not drying at all like many cleansers are. I use this product as the first step to my double cleanse
Im back to up my rating!!!
I reviewed this almost immediately I was so impressed and needed to share the love with everyone. I'm back after repurchasing for the second time to five it a full 5 stars!!! It's now my new all time fave cleanser/ mask. It's such a good price too! I find it is really nourishing for my combo dehydrated skin I use both am and pm with an extra thick layer that I leave on for a while whilst in the bath. So good!
    Inkey Oat Cleansing Balm
My skin is sensitive and prone to redness. This cleansing balm is very gentle.
    On the fence
My skin is older, reddened, thin, with blackheads and open pores, it is oily but can be dry. I like a cleansing balm and have used many over the years. This is a thick, balm with some slight graininess. It has no fragrance. It is easy to move around the skin and it does break down makeup. When water is added it becomes a thick cream. The tube is soft flexible plastic, but it does need a bit of elbow to squeeze it out in a cold bathroom. I am not sure that it is right for my skin, I think that the oat bits whilst quite soft with no hard edges are just a bit too much for my skin and I notice that when I don't use this, my skin is happier. I think if one can tolerate this albeit slight texture then fab, but for those with a more sensitive/reactive/redness prone skin it may be a bit much. I like it but not for everyday makeup removal.
    Great product
This is a fantastic cleanser. All makeup was gone, and it feels lovely on the skin. It also washes off effortlessly and doesn’t leave any weird residue. Only reason it got 4 stars instead of 5 is because of the packaging. This is a proper balm and as such is difficult to squeeze from a tube, please repackage this in a pot. Definitely be repurchasing this
    It does the job
I bought it months ago and started using it to remove my makeup and I have to say it does a great job at removing my mascara (you just gotta go in there with your fingers and kinda down and up brush your lashes) it does get a bit blurry when I do so but it does the job and the blurriness is temporary the only thing it had a hard time removing was my benefit brow setting gel it took time but eventually it removed everything and did not break me out (I have oily acne-prone skin living in a hot and humid climate) I am also a teenager so my skin tolerated it nicely may I say better than I thought but the only thing that urks me is the smell. It smells dusty for some reason I think it's the oats but I can handle it just mentioning it for the people who care. Overall a great affordable gentle makeup remover you get a lot of product too for such a low price so 10/10 for me :)
    great for first cleanse!
This is a very nice cleansing balm! I put some on my hands and rub them a bit to melt the balm before I massage it into my face and then add some water to emulsify it and leave it on for like 30 seconds. It melts off makeup really well and is quite soothing to the skin. I always follow with a gel cleanser afterwards.
    Hated it..
Sorry, I LOVE The Inkey List, but this product was awful. Was like washing my face with lard. Left my face needing to be washed again and it left a film on my eyes that took ages to clear. Wouldn't recommend if you want a light wash that leaves you feeling clean
    Amazing value for money
This cleanser is great - really gentle, gets make up off with a hot cloth in a flash and is soothing and calming on sensitive/dry skin. The price point is also just amazing - worth every penny
    Amazing but PORES
There’s no doubt about this being an absolute amazing makeup remover, one of the best I’ve tried. BUT it clogs my pores SO much, and made them incredibly visible. I would not use this as an everyday remover, I will only use it when I’ve got heavy makeup on.
    Don't Bother
I definitely wouldn't buy this again. I love cleansing balms, but not this one! It's incredibly tough to squeeze out of the tube (now I understand why balms are usually in tubs!!), it does emulsify slightly but leaves a film on the skin, and doesn't remove all makeup! Maybe if you're very dry skinned, don't wear makeup, and have arms of steel, you might like this!
    Poor packaging
I find it very difficult to get the product out of the tube. The nozzle is too small for the product and I need to unscrew the top and apply a lot of pressure on the tube to get any amount out. One wonders how this packaging ever passed quality control. The product is fine, but the packaging makes me regret buying it.
    Amazing and affordable
Does an amazing job at cleansing and nourishing the skin at the same time, a great first step of my double-cleansing routine. Definitely repurchasing when it finishes!
    Oat balm cleanser
Nice on the skin, however, felt it left an oily coating even after thoroughly cleansing, better for dryer skin types not recommended for oily skin even as a first cleanse.
    Amazing for a first cleanse
Haven't found anything that removes makeup and sun cream this well that doesn't irritate my eyes! Since it's an oil, I use it as a first cleanse and then use the Fulvic Acid cleanser so it doesn't block my pores. Am on tube number 3 or 4 now and don't see myself using anything else!
Clogged My Pores With Continues Use
My first impressions of this products were positive, I felt as if my skin looked really radiant even though it didn't feel too clean and left a residue kind of feeling on my skin, but I decided to stick with it. After two weeks of using it I noticed a conjestion probelm which I've never had before on my nose but I still stuck to it. Three weeks later I started to get really bad breakouts on my skin and really bad pimples. I've since stopped using it and my skin is back to normal. I don't normally have bad reactions to skincare and I've never had bad breakouts before.
    Good for thirsty skin
Really nice cleanser for dry skin. Non-abrasive. Knocked one star off because it says that you can use it as a mask too but I didn’t feel any benefit.
    Very heavy
I thought this would be very good, as I had heard good things. However I did not like it on my skin, as it was very heavy and oily.
    Not for me
Generally, I like The Inkey List products but not this one. As a cleanser it doesn't do the job ... It does remove makeup eventually but leaves behind an oily residue which in turn needs to be removed. Seems to defeat the object.
    It's fine
I struggle with oily skin but I still benefit a lot from this cleanser. It really gets the job done with removing my makeup - except from my mascara... I like to use it as a first step in a double cleanse, followed by the salicylic acid cleanser from the same brand.
It’s nourishing as a mask & nothing more. I don’t wear heavy makeup & it barely removes my makeup.
    My favourite
Honestly the best cleanser for removing makeup and works so well as a hydrating mask aswell. Repurchased many times and always works well as a first cleanser
    Irritating to the eye
It's super thick and hard to squeeze out. I bought this twice cause I popped the top while trying to squeeze it cause it was SO thick. It always always always gets in my eyes and just stays there; I literally have to rub it out of my eyes. It does clean and melts my makeup, but at what cost? I don't really recommend it but if you like it, cool.
I absolutely love this. Use it as the first step of a double cleanse and it removes all my SPF and leaves my skin feeling so nourished.
    Yes, yes, yes
My skin type: sensitive and dry with hormonal breakouts. This product is breakout safe, at least for me. Removes all of my makeup, I have no problem getting the product out of the tube (though I'm sure it's better to have it somewhere a little bit warm) and I use this as the first cleanse of my double cleanse. I have tried oil cleansers, but I much prefer this as it does not feel like there's a layer left on my skin after - this feels soothing during and after use.
    Love this...
After watching a recommendation from Salli Hughes on Instagram, I was heavily influenced. The cleanser is really lovely, feels really moisturising when on and you have the option to leave it on as a mask. Washes off and leaves skin feeling glowy and fresh. Would recommend 100%.
    Love it!
I’ve only been using this a week and feel such a difference! My skin feels a lot smoother, it feels really moisturising on my skin which is great with my having dry skin. I’ve seen a couple of complaints about the smell but I don’t find it overpowering in the slightest and don’t think it has much of a smell. I’ve also seen some say it leaves a residue, I always double cleanse with a water-based cleanser after the balm and there is no residue. This paired with the salicylic acid cleanser is amazing.
    Love it!
Really gentle product, it takes all of my make up off and the price is good. It does leave a bit of an oily residue, but it did not clog my pores at all
    Love this stuff.
It’s a bit hard to squeeze out sometimes but I love this product. It easily removes makeup and is super gentle on the skin! I’ve just purchased another one haha. Would definitely recommend it
    Very nice
Very nice consistency. I use this in the evening to get rid of my sunscreen and moisturiser from the day, and it washes off nicely. Haven't tried it to take off makeup yet so not sure how it works with that. I do wash my face again after using this as my skin is oily in places and it does leave a slight residue, however I feel like this may be okay for people with dry/ more sensitive skin. The smell is not bad at all. Really great amount of product for the price. Defo recommend.
    So impressed
I really love this cleanser, it leaves your skin so soft and hydrated, which is great as I have sensitive and extremely dry skin. If I am wearing makeup it takes it all off, even mascara. The price point is amazing for the quality and quantity of product your getting. I have no complaints.
Gets make up off quickly without stripping the skin. It doesn’t smell the nicest, but also doesn’t smell artificial so I think that’s a good thing.
Great makeup remover but horrible smell
It’s great makeup remover but the smell is unbearable and I felt that I still have the smell on my face even after the second cleanser
it works well for taking the makeup and clean the face but I think it's a little bit basic I think I will try new things next time
    Great bargain
I have tried out couple of different oil-based cleansers and this one is my second most favourite (after Farmacy's Green Clean). It emulsifies nicely, feels good and hydrating and the price is hard to believe. Love it and will be repurchasing it!
    Love it
Great make-up remover! I use is as a first step in my double cleanse. It removes my makeup better than micellar water. My skin also feels softer after every use. Will definitely keep buying this
    Love it but bad packaging
I've used this twice now and it feels amazing on my dehydrated, congested/acne skin! I use it as a first cleanse and my skin feels so soft afterwards. I also love the consistency of the product. However... the packaging is AWFUL - every time I have to squeeze the bottle so hard to even get a tiny amount of product out, and the first time I used it the top of the bottle split so I had to put tape to seal it back together! If this were in a pot it would be so much better!
    Love it
Love it. Last long (mine lasted 1.5 months), my skin feels clean, soft and nourished. I use it as a first step in my double cleanse and follow with the Salicylic cleanser. Great stuff, on my second lot now.
Difficult to get out of tube when first using (don't buy this if you have any dexterity or grip issues). It does soften with repeated use, but then it has a tendency to seperate, so every now and then you end up with a pool of oil on your hands instead of the product. I could forgive all of that if it were a good cleanser, but it's not. I have dry skin, so it should be ideal. But it's greasy, leaves an unpleasant film on my skin, doesn't remove make up particularly well (I only use light coverage base & eyeliner, and it struggles to remove them), and it's left my skin quite congested.
    Very Nice
I love the formula and I think its perfect for double cleansing, even for combination, sensitive, breakout prone skin like mine. However, they should really rethink the packaging (its the arm workout that I need but don't want) and I find that its not very good at removing makeup (not a deal breaker for me). Overall, another great price/quality relation from THE INKEY LIST. Love the brand and will purchase again.
    Great first cleanse!
Feels great on the skin, easily removes sunscreen (I don't wear make-up, so I don't know about that). Skin feels so soft afterwards. Price-quality ratio is really perfect on this one, 150 ml product for 10 GBP is not bad at all!
I don't think it works for me
When I first started using this product it was so thick I had difficulties getting it out of the tube. After a couple of weeks it turned so liquid that it comes out a lot from the tube. In terms of how it feels on the skin, it is very tacky which I don't like for a cleanser. I kind of prefer it as a mask leaving it for five minutes on and then rinsing.
    Such an amazing product.
I’d seen this recommended by many people including dermatologists and I can see why. It melts away my makeup with no hard scrubbing and has left my skin feeling really clean and smooth. I’ve been using it with other inkey list products and can really see a difference in my skin.
    Perfect make up remover
At first, I didn't like it at all as I used it for a bare face day. But when I used it to clean my face from make-up, GAME CHANGER! It was so gentle and easy to clean my face. Love this product!
    Love this product!
This cleansing balm is so nice to use! I have really oily skin and it leaves my skin feeling clean and moisturized without adding to the oiliness. This is also amazing at removing a full face of makeup without any harsh rubbing.
    Perfect for Double Cleanse
Removed makeup and sunscreen and it’s very gentle.
Liked it the more I used it
I wasn't initially impressed with this cleanser and found the smell quite odd. However, as I've continued to use it my opinion has changed for the better. My skin feels a lot softer and smoother, plus the redness I have on my nose has reduced. I would definitely buy it again and continue to use it in the PM.
Great first step of cleansing and a mask!!
Love this cleansing balm, the consistency is very enjoyable and I love the results as well as experience when using this product. It's also a great calming mask, leaves my skin clean and supple!
    Cleanses well but...
Ok, I like this product - price and performance. But maybe because it's hot in NZ right now the product squeezed out A LOT OF watery liquid separated from the actual creamy balm. Don't know what happened there but it was unpleasant to use for a while I got rid of all of this separated liquid. If this didn't happen, I'd rate this 5 star.
    Love it
Amazing for taking off makeup, and as a first step cleanse. Also when my skin is feeling dry I love using this as a 10 min mask. Doesn't sting the eyes, and doesn't feel greasy after washing off. I would still used a second cleanse step after it though.
    Love it
OK so there is an oily residue when you squeeze out the product, but to be honest, if you have really dry flaky skin like me it's bliss. My face has never felt softer and it is so hydrating I look forward to using it. It also has a really nice oat smell to it, I hate anything with a scent so this is subtle enough for me to continue using.
Love the product but not the packaging
This was the first cleansing balm I've ever tried and it took a bit of getting used to but it's overall really good. It's very gentle on my skin while being quite effective at removing makeup. As others have pointed out, the downside is that it's very difficult to squeeze the product out. If this had come in a jar or something easier to use, I would have given it 5 stars.
Average product. Packaging is a pain.
It's a decent cleansing balm, gets rid of grime and leaves skin soft. I use it with a cloth because I'm not a fan of the oily residue left behind if I just rinse. The only thing to really distinguish it from the hundreds of others out there is the fact that it's difficult to squeeze out of the tube. Not a huge deal, but also more hassle than it's worth twice a day. And I definitely wouldn't recommend it to anyone with grip or dexterity issues.
    Oily Gal
This products is great for getting all of your makeup off but leaves your skin feeling super oily (which isn’t great for me cause I have combination skin). However, if you have dry skin, I’m sure this won’t be an issue!
Product is good but the packaging isn't
The product is good but a little gritty so not great. The packaging is really bad its pretty hard to squeeze the product out of the tube but for the price overall its a good product.
    Efficient and gentle
I adore cleansing balms so I couldn't wait to try this from the Inkey List. I've loved their simple but highly effective formulations since they launched, and their hyaluronic acid is an absolute staple in my routine. I like my cleansing balm to remove all my makeup and not leave a residue on the skin. This removes every single scrap of makeup with ease, and leaves my skin feeling so hydrated a soft. I do find it leaves a bit of a layer on my skin just rinsing it off, which dry skin types would love, so I just always remove this with a face cloth to ensure it's removed, or use it as my first cleanse. The only thing I don't love about the texture is the slight 'grain' to it, however this does dissipate on the skin, I just prefer a completely soft and smooth cleanse. An absolute must for anyone wanting a long lasting and effective, soothing cleanser that removes all impurities and makeup.
Never knew a cleanser could be so gentle and nourishing. I think I found my new holly grail.
    Really nice, but ...
It definetly works great for removing make-up and just to double cleanse. However I don't really like how it feels on the skin and the smell of it. I know it is fragrance free, but it smells like melted plastic or something. It is weird to describe. And the texture is kind of grainy. But overall a great product.
Really dry sensitive skin & this is the only cleanser my skin seems to love. I used to use cerave, but my skin didn't like it and the break outs never stopped. Although I still break out, it's no where near as much when using this cleanser.
As an oily skinned girl, the thought of using this terrified me but tried it anyway. Nothing is as good for taking my makeup off. The makeup melts away and then I wipe the rest off with a wet microfibre cloth. My skin feels so clean and soft and I actually think it has helped with my oiliness. DEFINITELY will be buying again, it's in my basket as I type.
It's alright, makes my skin soft. The one thing that bothers me really with this product is that it melts in the tube. It is supposed to be kind of a paste but it is like sometimes the paste melts and the oil gets everywhere because of the packaging.
    Favourite makeup remover
A nice thick balm, I use it when I double cleanse to remove my foundation and sunscreen, it spreads nicely and it’s easy to wash off. The only thing is that you have to squeeze the tube hard to get the balm out once you’re starting to use it up.
    Loveee this!
This is such a nice balm! First of all, I love that it is in a tube and I'm glad I don't have to stick my fingers in there. Second of all, the list of ingredients for this cost is just great, no petrolatum e.t.s, just good oils and love the oats as a soothing ingredient. The only thing that I don't like, that it has a slightly gritty texture, I think it because of oats powder in it. But it does not irritate my skin at all, just a warning if it is important to someone. So, I love this product and keep buying it.
    It's fine
It's a very gentle cleanser. I used it as a first step makeup remover and then double cleansed with a different cleanser after. It doesn't really remove eye makeup that well, but otherwise a good and affordable product.
Love it to remove makeup and sunscreen.
I have oily skin. Love it to remove makeup and sunscreen. I use it as my first step in double cleansing. I apply it on dry skin, massage over my skin and emulcify it with water. Then I follow it up with standard foaming cleanser. If you didn't like it, you can try it this way, it works amazing.
I love this cleansing balm. I have normal to dry skin and I'm not sure if someone with a more oily skin type would enjoy it as much as I do because it's quit moisturizer and rich. It removes the makeup incredibly well and I'm always excited for my double cleansing routine because I get to use it. It emulsifies super nicely and for the price point I mean it's amazing. I feel like it did a better job than the pricier cleansing balm that I have used in a past.
    Great but for dry skin
Great cleanser for dry skin, maybe even a little too moisturising (if there is such thing). It takes makeup off really easily and leaves the skin nourished.
    Tried to like this...
My favourite ever cleanser is Galacticleanse by GlamGlow. It melts off make up effortlessly & smells so good but it's pretty pricey especially just for a first cleanse so I was on the lookout for a cheaper alternative. I read good reviews for this oat cleansing balm & decided to give it a try. I've used this cleanser for nearly 2 months & I just can't bring myself to like it. It is so thick it's almost impossible to squeeze out the tube! I even tried running under hot water but it didn't help at all. The consistency is heavy & greasy (like Vaseline) but doesn't meltdown quickly & glide over my skin as I had expected, I really have to work it to remove all my make up. I also really don't like the smell of this product. It did leave my skin feeling 'normal' after use - no tightness, sensitivity or redness but I wouldn't buy this product again as I just don't find it enjoyable to use.
    Not for me
I have used this product for over a month now and feel ready to confirm I do not feel this product is right for me. The formula is far too thick and I feel I really struggle to get the formula off my face, it’s almost like Vaseline in texture so once it’s on the skin I feel nothing can get it off other than another product to actually wash the formula off the face! I used it last night and tried to remove my make up with it, after washing and washing I finally gave up and dried my face and loads of makeup went on to the towel! Fail! I won’t bother again, still on the hunt for that perfect cleanser :-(
My favourite make up remover now
It is just perfect... Removes make up effectively without making my skin react or "scream" for a thick moisturiser after use. I also love the fact that I can read "the small letters" without having to put on my reading glasses - that applies to the whole range of products of TIL.
    Great balm
I love this cleansing balm! It spreads so nicely and takes off all the makeup/sunscreen. It can separate so I'm mixing it a little bit in a tube.
I love this product so much. it removes makeup so effortlessly. it emulsify super nicely. I have normal skin but in winter I tend to be more dry. It leave your skin super nice without feeling tight. I'm very impressed.
Incredible for makeup removal and double cleanse
So I have used makeup wipes up until now, I have combination skin. But I knew double cleaning was the best way I just didn’t want to break the bank. This cleanser is so affordable. It’s hard to get out the tube at first but then it comes out fine and it’s amazing at melting away makeup to then use a flannel to remove the excess and my skin has never been clearer. I’ve used it alongside my cerave foam cleanser to double cleanse. And niacinamide and I feel great knowing my makeup is 100% removed. So I’d highly recommend. Especially for the price and great ingredients!
    Give it a chance
I first opened this tube with such high expectations. So many gushing reviews! Sold out everywhere! Then when I finally went to try it, I could barely get any out! The balm that did come out of the tube was rock hard. No idea why. BUT - with time this resolved wonderfully and comes out easy breazy (maybe it was storage? Maybe it was room temp related?) Now that i can finally get it out of the tube in a smooth balmy texture, I love it. So soft and soothing. I even love the mild smell - I find it very comforting. I also love how massive it is for the price. Will deffo be repurchasing
    I like it
It's not bad. Does the job of melting away my makeup. I'm happy with it.
    Like but not perfect.
Leaves the skin with a layer that feels moisturising, however, if you want to remove your eye make you have to use the other product, I have too many products and would rather have an all in one cleaner! But good for the price point.
    Nothing special
The balm is thick and spreads nicely, but it really leaves the skin with a layer of product and can only be washed of with a muslin cloth. Sort of. You can still feel it on your face even after using the cloth, until you do a second cleanse. They write to follow with a serum, which literally sounds like a waste of serum, as nothing would be able to sink in, with just this as the only wash. The scent of it (even though it is fragrance free) is also not exactly appetizing. All in all, not really enjoying the first cleanse expirience with this one.
    Great First Cleanser
I really enjoy using this cleanser, it goes on really smoothly, is nice to massage into your face and I've found that it takes off makeup and sunscreen really well. I haven't really found that it leaves much of a film but I always second cleanse with a water-based cleanser anyway.I've never had the problem of not being able to get the product out of the tube, if anything, for me the balm sometimes separates into balm and oil and runs out too easily. I found that shaking a few times before squeezing out solves this. Also the amount that you get for the price is unreal. This has lasted me 3 months, using every single evening, and will probably continue for a bit longer.
    Excellent for sensitive skin
I had an extremely bad reaction to another skincare product and didn't know how to handle the situation. I'm a long term lover and user of another balm product on the market but have always found the texture so thick I needed to rub at my face with a flannel to remove the product - not ideal when your face is covered in burning red patches!! The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm is verrrrry gentle and rubs off far easier. So much so I'm able to wash away simply with my hands and water in the shower. Much to my surprise, it's also helped to balance the oil production in my face (I usually have an extremely oily t-zone and dry cheeks) and I like that it's an all-round fuss free product. I will definitely repurchase when I run out, however I don't know how long away that will be as it's a very large tube for the price. 4 stars because I physically wasn't able to squeeze out the product with my hands for the first 5 uses (I had to place the tube between my knees to get anything out). After this there seemed to be more oil in the product which means I no longer face this struggle. Something to bare in mind if you're like me and don't have a lot of strength in your hands due to a health condition.
The product is good but the packaging is terrible
I love the product and think it’s great but the packaging is awful, it took about 5 mins to actually squeeze any product out on my first use. It’s gotten easier but I still struggle to get the product out. The pricing and product are great but the inky list please put it in a tub or something.
The Inkey List Oat Cleansing Balm
I think it´s a good product (not irritant for my very sensitive skin at all except for a slight burning sensation in the eyes, but I read then that you are not supposed to use it on the eye-area anyways), BUT it doesn´t come off as well as I would like. Others might love the film that stays on the skin (you can also use the product as a mask), but after rinsing the balm off it feels exactly like it did before the rinsing. Therefore I am not sure if it really eliminates all sunscreen etc. (I don't use makeup). I think it is a very good first cleanser. But the description suggests that it can also be used as a single cleanser and I am not sure about that. Will buy it again anyways because for a double cleanse it´s really good!
    Best oil cleanser EVER!!
The first step in my evening double cleanse. My skin is sensitive and reactive. This balm takes everything off including makeup. I massage into my face and neck...wet my hands and emulsify it on my face and neck and it rinses clean with no residue. My skin afterwards is baby soft. It was out of stock everywhere else so I had to buy another balm but once this got to me I went right back to it!! Looooooove it!
    Love it
This is a very hydrating cleanser but it works best as part of a 2 step cleansing process. I don’t know if it’s just a “me” problem but just that cleanser isn’t quite enough to properly clean all of my impurities. I don’t wear make up or anything but i workout a lot and so I have quite a bit of sweat and dirt built up.
    Perfect for me
I just love this cleanser. For either first or a second cleanse. Perfect for me as I really don't like scented products, and has never caused me any irritation.
    Gentle but effective cleanser
I like balm cleansers & this is a lovely one. It effectively removes face make up apart from eyes. I use on slightly damp skin & remove with a soft cloth & warm water. My skin feels soft and soothed after use and I have a mature very dry skin. I would prefer if it came in a pot instead of the tube. Good value for money.
    Great balm cleanser
Was recommended to me by a skin guru and has not disappointed. It’s a great balm cleanser that gets makeup off but not overly drying so it feels gentle but effective. The best part though is the price and the size - such good value!
    Love it
Been using this as an evening cleanser for taking off all the day's grime and it is lovely. Glides onto the skin and rinses off to leave me positively glowing. Skin feels moisturised and not at all tight afterward. You only need a tiny bit so it should last for ages too.
    Brilliant product for double cleansing
I have oily skin with enlarged pores that at 41 years old also showing signs of age. I wear foundation most days and was recommended to try double-cleansing. I was wary of this product to start with as I have oily skin. I shouldn’t have been. It feels incredible and removes makeup so well. I follow with Inkey’s Salicylic Acid cleansing wash which removes any residue and leaves my skin so clean and clear but not tight or dry.
    Overall nice, but synthetic feeling
I like it a lot but the feeling on the skin is a bit "waxy", like Vaseline. I don't mind, but others may.
    Amazing gentle cleanser
This cleanser is amazing! It's gentle enough that it's suitable for most skin types apart from oily maybe, it also works as a double cleanse so it does an amazing job. I have normal/dry skin and this cleanser leaves my skin hydrated, clean and soft. Will be purchasing again!
This product is sooooo oily, it took two passes with a proper cleanser to get the residue off my face. Absolutely awful, I have no idea how it exfoliates its so slick. No problem getting it out of the tube though.
    Feels like high end!
Absolutely in love with this product. It removes all make up, even stubborn mascara, so so easily with zero irritation even on my sensitive skin. It's balm-like texture melts into an oil and is super nourishing. A little goes a long way and it's an absolute bargain. I highly recommend for both first and second cleanse, star product!
    Lovely cleanser
Luxurious and gentle on skin as long as you wet face first - so perfect as your second cleanse if double cleansing. A bit rough if you use dry but then it kind of works like an exfoliator. So win win.
Love so much about this cleanser
I am really loving using this cleanser. I think it is an absolute bargain for the price and is comparable to many other (higher priced) balm cleaners such as Eve Lom, Elemis, Emma Hardie which are amongst my favourites in this category. You get a massive tube that will last ages. The value for money is spot on! I love the slight grainy texture which gives a lovely, mild exfoliation. It is very easy to remove with a face cloth and doesn't leave any greasy residue as can sometimes be the case with such a thick balm. I haven't had any of the issues getting the product out of the tube as other reviewers. Might have something to do with the fact that I live in a warmer climate. The only reason this didn't get 5 stars is because of the smell. I can't make up my mind if it's fragrance free or has an odd oatmeal like aroma...
    Too strong for me
I liked the idea and I'm used to a lot of cleansing balms, but this one just takes away too much from my skin. Afterwards my face feels really dry and tight. Hopefully they decide to make a gentler cleansing oil in the future.
    Where’s the oats?
Value for money is great. No scent. Really thick, like so thick that it was really hard to squeeze any product out the tube. Soon softened, feels super nourishing and buttery, becomes milky with water and removes easy enough. Skin felt super nourished and no drying feeling at all. A much thicker, harder version of the Eve Lom cleanser. Great for dry skin.
