    • Why it's Cult

A convenient chemical ‘peel’ (without the scary side-effects), {Pixi}’s Glow Peel Pads contain 20% glycolic acid - a natural, chemical exfoliant (it’s derived from sugar cane) – which works to melt the ‘glue’ that binds dulling dead cells and debris to skin’s surface, revealing the healthy ‘new’ cells underneath. An incredibly effective way to brighten your complexion without scrubbing or ruffling its feathers, these will address the alphabet of common complexion concerns; diminishing dark spots, fading scars, minimising pores, battling breakouts and blurring visibility of fine lines for radiant, younger-looking skin. The inclusion of antioxidant vitamin E and aloe vera, then helps reduce the risk of irritation – calming redness and relieving inflammation to maintain skin’s equilibrium. Prepare to be bowled over by your new-found luminosity!

    Pixi Glow Peel Pads Reviews

    JUST WOW!
Honestly, after the first use I could see a difference in my skin and the next morning and my boyfriend commented on how nice my face looked (which is rare) I have oily skin, and not just on my T Zone, I mean oil everywhere! I have used acid toners before and my skin felt exfoliated but not to the extent that it does with these so I was dubious that they would even work. With continued use, my skin feels a lot less oily. My pores will always be there but they do appear smaller and less noticeable, you also get this amazing glow after using them which I have found lasts for a couple of days. I probably wouldn't use these if you have really dry or sensitive skin as you do experience some peeling (I did on my temples weirdly) but they are a game changer and using them 3 times a week has changed my life.
    Game changer pads
I've always been someone who has cleansed/toned & moisturised my skin since I was about 9 (my mother has the most amazing skin and told me to look after my skin at a young age) Since leaving school I ventured into makeup & cleanse my face religiously day & night. If you love to wear makeup like me, you have to look after your skin. I did some research on Glycolic Acid, as I have combination skin (sensitive, dry at times & let's not forget oiliness these damn pores will not win) I was worried that it would make my skin really flaky or I would turn out looking like a beetroot. I took the plunge and decided to try these pads. First application: Removed makeup. A slight tingling sensation at first, nothing major or uncomfortable, I waited for 3 minutes and then rinsed with cold water like it recommends on the tub finished with a light moisturiser. I could tell the difference by morning as my pores appeared smaller as well as the blackheads on my nose. My skin feels soft and there is a natural dewy glow for up to three days after and then I had some peeling on my nose area for a day or so which then disappeared and left a less oily nose when I wore makeup! LOVE LOVE LOVE. Definitely glad I bought them!
    The Best!
I've used the Dr. Dennis Gross pads before but searched for a dupe since they are pricey and Pixie Glow Pads are really it! They leave my skin soft and clear.
    Pads were extremely dry
Not sure if I received a dud jar, but the pads themselves were extremely dry. It felt like I was rubbing a dry cotton pad on my face. For 20% acid, it sure didn't feel terribly active. Won't be buying these again in a hurry, unless there is some guarantee that there is more of the actual active solution in the container.
    GAME CHANGER
I am a bit of a skincare junkie and have previously been an avid user of the 'Glow Tonic'. Noticing that the Glow Tonic was running low, I'd read a lot about the Glow Peel Pads and thought I'd give it a try. Cannot believe I waited so long to try these. Complete game changer! My skin within 5 minutes of using the first pad was completely different. I'm now 3 days in and couldn't be happier. My pores are smaller, my skin is glowing, my redness is less. An amazing addition to my every growing skincare collection
    Could be a lot better
I am huge pixi and acid fan but with these pads I didn't notice any difference after use. They dry out in the tub very quickly and the pads are quiet scratchy.
My skin has never looked better
I have had acne and blackheads for over 10 years, and had tried so many different cleansers, toners, exfoliators and masks to make my skin better. Salicylic acid had little effect, the alcohol in toners made my skin worse, and exfoliators with particles gave me more whiteheads even though I was careful not to rub too hard. I was recommended Pixi Glow Peed Pads by a friend with similar problems, and even after one week my skin was visible much better. I use it for 10 min every third day, and have done so for 6 months. Absolutely love it! I don't have to cover my skin with foundation anymore! During those 10 effective minutes I sometimes feel a slight tingling, but no discomfort whatsoever. Yes, it stings if you get it into open wounds, but what doesn't. After those 10 mins I wash it off with cold water, and my skin feels so smooth! I use the leftovers on the pad after I've used it on my face on the back of my hands. Removes all the dead skin cells :) I still have some blackheads and lumps under my skin left, so I'm thinking of trying the Pixi Glow Tonic as well. But all the redness in my acne skin is gone! Otherwise, I use a normal moisturiser with SPF30+, so the amazing improvement on my skin is purely due to the glycolic acid pads. Love, love, love! Not too pricy, either. Pros: quick results if used regularly, does not leave micro-wounds like particle exfoliators do (which ultimately leaves to bacterial growth and more pimples), not too expensive. I will continue to use these for 10 min every third day! Cons: Difficult and time-consuming to order to my country, and no one sells them here. So don't stop, Cult Beauty! ;)”
    Unpleasant to use
I have oily skin that is resilient and can handle most peels and exfoliants. However, these pads were too 'scratchy' in texture, and left an unpleasant tingle on the skin. I have only used these twice since purchasing 5 months ago...on the flipside I finished a whole bottle of the glow tonic.
    Update: extremely uncomfortable
So, despite the abrasive pads I thought I'd keep them a go - in the hope that my skin would accustom itself to the sensation. However, the plan failed! The pads were so rough, it was the equivalent of rubbing sandpaper on my face. I gave them up and went back to my trusted PTR peel pads. My face thanks me although not so for my wallet. A real shame!
    Not my favourite
Got through a whole jar of these but don’t love them. They feel almost like a dry oil formula, the pad is too rough textured for me. They do leave some redness but are not drying.
    Mild, but effective
These pads aren't as wet as many others, but they have enough treatment. My skin is acne-prone, and pads good smoothe, minimize pores, reduce breakouts and improve complexion, and they don't dry or irritate my skin. I really like this product.
I feel confident make up free
Wow, wow, wow. My goodness are these amazing. I could not live without this amazing pads. My skin looks the best it has been in years and I even felt confident enough to go make up free. I use this twice a week on my 'skin treat' night. Twice a week I use wash, exfoliate (chemical not physical), mask, tone, spot gel, moisturiser (in that order) . But recently I have replaced my 'deep cleansing' 15 minute mask with this 2-3 mask and my skin looks incredible. Glowing, clears, smooth, just all round amazing. I was going to go to the doctors because my skin was so awful, but since using these pads my doctors appointment has been cancelled. When you apply the pad it is normal for you skin to sting and tingle that is just it working. I would 100% recommend these and you may think 'But pads always run out really quickly, it is a waste of money.' Excuse me, honey? There are 60 pads, you use one for each treatment and you use two a week. That is thirty weeks. Get these now. Amazing.
    love!!
I literally can't live with out these anymore!! After a week of using them people where asking me what i had done to my skin! I'm just about to buy another one now :)
    Good to Remove Whiteheads
I have whiteheads problems and this pad helps me to remove them. After using the pad, removing my whiteheads are super easy, hence, reduces my acne. However, I'm not sure if it reduces the occurrence of whiteheads, but I'm ok with that as long as I can remove them easily. Totally love these pads! Also very convenient for the days that I don't feel like using my facial scrub.
    Brilliant!
I love these so much, they are 'juicy' enough to swipe lightly over skin with enough to do hands too. Tingling on me only lasts for a second or so and subsides whilst sitting on skin for a couple of minutes before rinsing. My skin has a tendency towards flakiness and these keep it at bay. I also have mild rosacea and whilst on application I do get some flushing this subsides immediately, does not aggravate capillaries and has a positive effect on my rosacea-spots.
    When skincare becomes skinSCARE
Oh boy! I don't know what demon took over the Pixi lab on the night these Glow Peel Pads were made, but it must have been an evil one. I have combination skin which is by no means sensitive/reactive. Except when I used these pads. It was literaly like putting etching agent on my face. The tingly sensation became very uncomfortable within seconds and after several uses my skin developed a sort of nettlerash which was the end for me. I can't think of any skin type that I would sincererly recommend this product to. Pros: - Cons: super-acidic almost etch-y feeling on the skin, made my non-reactive skin react badly
Does the job, but a little uncomfortable
I've been using these peel pads for a few days now. I bought them as a replacement for the PTR Un-Wrinkle Peel Pads. These are slightly cheaper but just as effective. I felt a slight tingle on application and could definitely feel the product on my face. A sensation that I enjoy! However, I found the pads themselves to be quite rough. :( They felt abrasive against my skin, as compared to the padded comfort of PTR. I'll have to wait and see if these texture of the pads will sway me against repurchasing but for now the product itself is a winner.
