Wrong colour, so can't use it

Heard good things about this and was looking forward to using it, but I got the wrong colour, it's a shade too light. So can't use it!

Really versatile

I have been using this for a while now and because of the name, I always expect it to look and feel like a tinted moisturiser. I’d say it’s quite a standard medium coverage foundation and although hydrating on the skin, you do really need to work it in if you want to create an undetectable base. I am really fussy when it comes to foundation and I hate being able to see make-up on my skin so for me, the perfect way to apply this is by mixing it with a radiant primer and this creates the coverage and glowing finish that I love. I chose shade 20 and it is slightly too fair for me, so lots of bronzer is needed but because it allows my skin to shine through, it still works. This foundation lasts all day on my dehydrated but slightly oily skin and doesn’t roll or separate either.

Dewy…

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

Tried this as I love UD and was suckered in by everything the name promises. Ended up ordering two shades as I’m right in between the 30 and 40 but when mixed it’s perfect for me. But one star off for lack of shade variation. The finish is really lovely and dewy and it does last throughout the day. I usually use NARS tinted moisturiser and this feels like it takes a little Ionger to work in but gives just slightly more coverage. Would defo recommend.

Awful

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

Like most Urban Decays products, the colour oxidises so be aware of that. It felt heavy and oily on my face and doesn’t blend well even with fingers, more smears around your skin. I rarely get breakouts but after a day wearing this it brought out a HUGE acne-like lump on my chin where it had obviously blocked my pores which then turned into the mother of all spots which still hasn’t gone and I’m left with a large red scar. It broke me out on my forehead and cheeks as well. This is an awful product that I definitely won’t be recommending or using again.

Disappointed

Even with primer and moisturiser, it stuck heavily to my dry patches. Matched too light

Good product, limited shade range

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I really enjoy this product -- it's a good light coverage that looks quite natural on the skin. However, it's not sheer enough to only offer 10 shades and expect them to work for everyone. I got the lightest, since I'm in the fair to the light range, and I'm always in the first 10% of shades in any line. It's ghostly looking on me. However, I do like the product enough to reorder in the next shade up. Maybe UD is planning to expand their shade range, but as it stands now if someone as fair as I am is in the 2nd shade, the darker end of the spectrum would have to be wildly underserved.

Not for me...

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I was so excited to try this product, it sounded right up my street. Be mindful of the ‘stretchable’ shades, I am a light/medium skin tone so bought shade 40 and it looks quite orange on me, so be careful when choosing your shade. The coverage is very light, and it doesn’t sit in lines or cling to dry bits. It’s just ‘ok’ for me, it doesn’t really do much for my skin and I don’t think I would buy again.

Lovely product

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I’m 65 and was interested to try this, maybe as an alternative to the IT Cosmetics CC cream, which I’ve worn for several years. Applied with fingers, it gives a very lovely finish on mature skin and provided a fresh look. I have shade 30, which is a little on the pale side so may switch up in the summer. Recommended but not a replacement for my IT CC.

10 is really very pale but it adapts well. You can build the coverage well and it gives a lovely glow. Feels nice on the skin but is a little heavy. I applied it with a brush first and it really wasn’t nice but applied with fingers it gives a lovely finish.
