Gritty, runny and stains

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

The texture was surprising, it's quite gritty and runny. You can easily apply too much. It's quite oily once mas applied to the skin so definitely a PM use. I noticed in the morning I had orange hands and pillow case! I did some research and turns out some products of vit c oxidises and cause the skin to turn orange like self tan. Was not impressed, my silk pillowcase has been ruined. The price is good, not sure if it's the best version of vit c.

Horrible texture

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

This is very dry and pasty, and made my skin tingle a lot. it was difficult to spread over my face with how pasty and dry it was, so I had to mix it with my serum. It was not as good as other vitamin C serums I tried, and the silicon in it makes vitamin c less effective.

First and last bottle

I'm not a fan of this but seem to keep coming back for more. I mix it with my serum to soften the gritty texture, but it can tend to make my skin burn a little bit. Not sure I will get more when it eventually runs out.

Works great in PM routine

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

My skin is combination and slightly acne prone and since using this in my PM routine I've noticed a definite improvement in my skin texture and tone. While I agree with other reviews that the texture is weird and it can sting a fair amount, I find it manageable as I only use a VERY small amount after cleansing and before using my night cream. I'll also allow about 5 minutes or so between applying this and applying anything else (good time to brush your teeth). This also means I get no problems with staining. This isn't a product for you if you're looking for an easy, quick routine but for me the results I've had make it worth the little bit of extra time and consideration.

Weir texture that leave residuals and cannot be absurd

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

This Vitamin C along with the Inkey list vitamin C all have kind of powdery texture and hard to dissolve when layering with my Glow recipe sleeping mask and Medik8 retinal even though it didn't sting my skin ( probably because it couldn't be absorbed, I reckon all of the amounts turned into residuals which hard to blend)

Giving it time

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

I find the product watery and grainy in texture. Tingles at first but is not uncomfortable. I look too shiny when I use this product so tend to use it when I'm staying at home on the weekend. My skin breaks out very easily so I am reluctant to use this AM and PM as the directions suggest. Not sure I would buy again but I will continue to use until it runs out.

Caused acne

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

Sadly, for me I suspect this is the reason for a pretty bad acne break out. Stuck with it for a skin cycle as I hoped it was just because it was a new active ingredient but the zits just got worse. I’ve never had any luck with any of The Ordinary products I’ve tried. Officially given up!

Not for me

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

It may well work as a vitamin C product, but the formulation is weirdly powdery, and it stung a lot more than I was willing to tolerate. It also pilled a couple of hours in to wearing it when coupled with SPF. I would not recommend this if you can afford to buy a more expensive formulation.

Nice for acne spots

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I like it. Even my father uses it too. It helps in fading acne scars with time. It is a bit oily but is very nice and hydrating.
