I really wanted to love this foundation. First of all, the shade range is a bit weird. There’s no neutral fair, only cool or warm. Secondly, my skin is combo, but I am going through a dry phase. I did my skincare before applying the foundation but the product sat on my skin in such a horrible way. It emphasised all the dry spots, went on super blotchy both with brush and sponge. I don’t really understand the soft focus claim because this foundation literally showed texture I didn’t even know I had. It’s a no, save your money!

My Favourite
I have bought 3 bottles of this foundation in shade 5, I absolutely love it! Very expensive so would try and buy with discount but it gives such a great coverage while looking natural and feeling incredibly light. My favourite things about it is the healthy glow and also how long it lasts. I'm so use to foundation looking a bit patchy at the end of the day but this does a great job and eventually fades very naturally.

Hourglass nailed this one.
I really love it.. it’s so easy to work with.. buildable medium to full coverage, incredible wear time and a little goes a longgg way. So why not five stars? I think the soft glow in the name is a bit of a stretch. It’s not matte, more of a natural / satin, depending on the primer really. That’s not to say it’s not beautiful and it sits wonderfully over a glowy primer.. flawless filter for example. I’ve also used it over Hourglass mineral veil primer and talk about flawless! Even less glow due to the finish of the mineral veil but I know it’s going to be my go-to event combo for when I want longggg lasting. Wedding guest for example. And a glowy liquid highlighter does sit lovely on it. My preferred method of application is to apply evenly with fingers and finish with a sponge. It’s a thicker formula so benefits from fingertip warmth. I’ve tried a couple of my favourite foundation brushes and found it took longer and wasn’t as smooth looking. I’m seeing people review the neutral shades as warm leaning.. I was honestly half expecting VERY warm but shade 5 isn’t on me and I’m cool neutral. It might not be my perfect undertone match but it most definitely works and doesn’t look at odds or jarring.

Natural finish
I’d say this is a medium coverage foundation with a natural finish, it’s not matte nor very glowy. The packaging is simple but luxe and I like that it has a pump. You also get 32ml instead of the standard 30ml with foundations. I really like it and will continue to use it, I can’t seen anyone disliking it.

It’s just the right mix of glow blended together with a natural finish and sets so nicely on the skin. Doesn’t emphasise texture or settle into fine lines. Leaves a satiny smooth finish, borderline dewy. If you like a bit of glow to your foundation, this would be it.
