WE CURRENTLY SHIP DAVINES THROUGHOUT THE UK AND IRELAND
Davines’ gentle, softening and voluminising shampoo is brimming with roucou oil – a potent Amazonian extract derived from the fruit of the achiote – it’s 100 times richer in beta-carotene than carrots and helps to stimulate melanin synthesis (and in turn, maintain your hair’s natural pigment), while its ellagic acid content works to neutralise free radicals and thus protect against cellular damage caused by UV exposure. Incredibly nourishing, this leaves your locks feeling like silk – the cocktail of nourishing ingredients promotes hair’s shine and manageability for enviable polish, a super-smooth, frizz-free finish and incredible, salon-worthy ‘oomph’.
Quirkily cool yet results-driven, Davines’s ‘OI’ range is powered by roucou oil (pronounced ru ‘ku) – a ‘secret’ ingredient beloved by native inhabitants of the Amazon rainforest, who rely on the fruits of the ‘Lipstick Tree’ to protect their skin and hair against the sun and other daily stresses.
Intensely replenishing, Davines have harnessed the potency of this wonder-extract to create a range of shine-enhancing, moisture-boosting hair care treatments – suitable for all hair types, these exquisite products are perfect for nourishing, smoothing and ‘controlling’ weakened, dry or tempestuous tresses. By combining high-grade natural ingredients with first-rate scientific rigour, Davines’s founders the Bollati family have expanded their Parmese research laboratory into a multi-national hair care business with an inspiring range of original and authentic products, beloved by hosts of discerning celebrities and beauty buffs around the world. Available in two sizes, pick from either 280ml or 90ml for home and away.

Great for bleach blondes
As the title might suggest I have bleach blonde hair, which is also long, very coarse, thick and yes, can be totally unmanageable. My local hairdresser switched to Davines products from Kerastase; having never heard of Davines, I was initially disappointed, but nonetheless, this was how I was introduced to the brand. I can honestly say now I’m so glad they did. This shampoo has done wonders for making my hair washing easier. I only wash once or twice a week, I gym a lot too so not much time for spending an hour or two trying to control my hair! This shampoo is a pleasure to use and really helps to moisturise what can be very dry hair, making hair drying and styling much easier and quicker. Over time I’ve noticed my hair is in better condition, possibly attributed to the matching conditioner which is very rich and more like a mask, but certainly does wonders on hair types like mine. The blonde is brighter, too; I don’t find I need to use violet toning shampoos quite like I used to. Personally, I find it lathers extremely well considering its sulphate free, and I don’t feel I need to use a lot as I have with other shampoos. If you’re sceptical, I would definitely recommend you try the set, I’m sure you won’t be disappointed.

My fav shampoo
I love this shampoo, it smells amazing and really improves the quality of my hair. The all in one milk and conditioner in the same range are winners too. I would buy anything from Davines now, this brand and Oribe are my favourite 2 hair care brands ever.

Love the brand
My first - consciously, at least - SLS-free shampoo. Enjoyed it thoroughly and was surprised at how long it lasted - almost 3 months. Will definitely repurchase.

Favourite Shampoo
I love the effect this has on my hair. It’s become more manageable and softer. I have dry hair although my roots can get oily quickly and this really balances it out without stripping. I don’t love the scent - wish I knew what it was to describe - but it doesn’t linger in my hair so I haven’t taken any stars off for it.

Its okay...
I love this shampoo in the sense that my hair feels amazing after, but I find myself having to use a lot of it. I have really long hair, and I've seen reviews saying a little goes a long way...but in my case, it definitely doesn't. I can go through a bottle in about 8 washes, which at £16.50 can be rather expensive!

One of the best shampoos ever.
I had quite a number of samples for this product but never got round to it until I ran out of my normal shampoo. Was totally surprised when I first used it and can now understand the hype! The smell can be quite overpowering for some but I'm quite used to the perfumed smell by now. My hair feels incredibly soft and not dry at all. The conditioner is not a must, but it's a 'nice to have' companion product.

Not worth the hype
I have balayaged, bleached hair and this just wasn't nearly hydrating enough. The smell is very strong and powdery and I found it didn't improve the texture or appearance of my hair at all. I have had better results from much cheaper shampoos.

My Hair LOVES This!
I'm so happy I decided to go for this Davines shampoo! My dry, flaky scalp rejects basically ANY shampoo except this one and another one I keep on rotation – this makes my hair feel SO smooth and clean; it really helps it look glossy and healthy like never before. My only issue is, it seems to make my hair a bit greasier the next day, so I can't go too long between washes. But other than that, I definitely recommend this to anyone with a sensitive scalp!
