The Cult Beauty Team’s November Favourites

The {Christmas} decorations are coming out of storage, your Big Coat is officially in use, and you’re ready to start mulling just about anything you can get your hands on. Yes, November is officially over— and that means it’s time for us to round up our most beloved beauty items from the month. From the ultimate {make up} multitasker to the lash-lengthening {serum} that actually lives up to the hype, here’s what we couldn’t get enough of…

Nars Air Matte Lip

A fresh update on the classic matte lip, NARS’ {Air Matte Lips} offers soft, creamy pigment without any of the crustiness or cakiness you might have come to associate with the finish. Whether you choose a soft dusty rose perfect for day time (we can’t get enough of ‘Dolce Vita’) or a head-turning orange-red (let us introduce you to ‘Total Domination’), this comfortable formula can be layered up for a serious pop of colour, or gently diffused onto the lips for a last-all-day tint. With party season just around the corner, we’re stocking up on every shade…

If we’re being honest, just about everything from celebrity MUA Mario Dedivanovic’s range could top our favourites list (two decades in the industry really has armed him with the knowledge to nail a whole line of make up must-haves) — but this month, we’ve been playing favourites with the {Master Mattes Liquid Liner}. An essential for newbies and liner experts alike, the secret to its success is the razor sharp felt tip nib and stay-all-day formula. The weather is officially freezing, and winter winds can make eyes — and liquid liner — run. But trust this pigmented, jet-black liquid to ‘lock’ in place after just 15 minutes, becoming totally waterproof in the process. No smudging here, thank you very much.

LiveTinted Hue Stick

Multi-taskers are a must in any savvy beauty lover’s collection — and Live Tinted’s {Huestick} makes a particularly useful addition. Supercharged with moisture-loving hyaluronic acid and squalane, nourishing vitamin E and smoothing vitamin C, each of the 11 shades has been formulated to counteract dark circles and hyperpigmentation while also adding a pop of colour wherever you want it. We’ve been reaching for the shade ‘Free’, which can be built up across eyes, lips and cheeks for the faintest pink wash through to a rich, creamy berry tone.

This lash-lengthening serum is often hailed as something of a miracle worker — and it remains a firm favourite within Cult Beauty HQ. Though it may seem almost too good to be true, Revitalash’s {Advanced Eyelash Conditioner} harnesses the power of the brand’s ‘BioPeptin Complex’ to strengthen your lashes, preventing breakage and encouraging them to grow longer and thicker. To really see the full effects of the serum, it’s important to stick with using it each and every day for at least two to three months. But trust us, the fluttery, brow-bone grazing lashes are oh so worth it

You’re probably already savvy to the smoothing, brightening, clarifying (should we go on?) benefits of retinol. It’s one of the skin care world’s Holy Grail ingredients for good reason — but there is potential  for irritation if the ingredient isn’t formulated quite right. Luckily, the experts over at Dr. Dennis Gross have created the {Advanced Retinol and Ferulic Texture Renewal Serum}, a perfectly balanced treatment that combines the magic ingredient with bakuchiol and ferulic acid — both of which strengthen your complexion — and moisture-loving hyaluronic acid. Basically, this silky serum contains a cocktail of all the good stuff your skin will slurp up —and it’s (unsurprisingly) become a mainstay in our night time routine.
