    • Description

An advanced brightening, refining treatment, Sunday Riley’s Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream is brimming with hyaluronic acid, which attracts and retains up to 1000x its own weight in water, to optimise hydration and in turn, exhibit a skin-smoothing, firming and ‘plumping’ effect. Papaya enzymes gently resurface – eliminating dulling dead cells to reveal the more luminous skin cells beneath – while alpha-arbutin and giant white bird of paradise extract combine to brighten hyperpigmentation spots and restore uniformity of tone. Perfect for dry or dehydrated skin types, the featherweight formula is instantly absorbed – maintaining moisture levels without exacerbating congestion – keeping skin comfortably supple and dewy from morning ‘til night.

    • How to use

Apply to clean skin, twice a day. With continued use, hyperpigmentation spots are brightened. It can be patted on top of makeup to seal in hydration and radiance. For increased brightening power, layer (or alternate) Tidal on top of Good Genes.

For cutting-edge hydration, combining the power of retinol ester with Tidal's moisture surge, layer it on top of Luna Sleeping Night Oil to restore the look of skin’s plumpness.

Sunday Riley - Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream

Sunday Riley Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream Reviews

    Really good!
After using it for a week I definitely noticed my skin looking brighter and more supple. Some of my acne scars have faded and pigment spots are appearing lighter than before. After starting it I did notice a few breakouts on my cheeks and forehead, but I think it is due to change in my beauty routine. It does moisturise my face rather well, doesn't make it oily (I have a combo type) and does lighten it up. I enjoy it very much!
I am ordering my 7th jar of this as we speak. For me, heavier creams break me out but this gives my skin exactly the water it needs without any heaviness. I even used it on my sister for her wedding day and she was radiant. This is my HG moisturiser. In winter I just add a drop of two of my favorite face oil. Love.
    Expected more..
Even though it is a water based cream it somehow makes my skin a bit oily. Also I am not a fan of having to dip my fingers in there every day, especially when buying the big size it gets disgusting after a couple of months. Would love to have a pump bottle. Other than that the moisturiser is ok.
No pro's only dryness and breakouts
I got sample of this. And even after two using a had dry patches all over the face and some breakouts, though my skin now have no such problems due to my routine. Deliberately I was not using none of my routine in those days, so.. It's definitely from this product. I thought that it was from harsh ingredients, but I've tried Drunk Elephant's T.L.C. and all was OK. I don't know what happened. My skin is sensitive to something in it maybe. And yes, smell is strange. Mixture of papaya, pumpkin peel and mild-salted cucumbers with dill. Like, what?
    Love it
I was never disappointed with SR, this is no exception. It works great as an overnight gentle peeling cream, prefer not to use it in a day time as I find it too active and do not wish to mix it with my makeup. Moisture, no oiliness, fresh feeling, fresh plumped rejuvenated, brighter skin the morning- that’s what it gives. Love it a lot, will be repurchasing many times.
    Fresh & Light
A beautiful, lightweight moisturiser. Definitely my go-to when I want something breathable without compromising on hydration. Helps with soothing inflamed acne and improves pigmentation. Purchased more than once and will most likely buy again. Would prefer it in a pump bottle and think is a bit pricey which is why I knocked off a star. That said, you don't need much and it lasts a couple of months so... swings and roundabouts.
    Smells so nasty
This product, just like Sunday Riley's "U.F.O" smells HORRIBLE! I couldn't stand to have it on my face. Not recommended
    It was just ok
It felt nice, refreshing and gentle on my skin but it wasn't enough for my very dry skin. It absorbed quickly but I don't feel like desired effect lasted long enough - pricey for an okay moisturiser. Sunday Riley products are mostly amazing, but this isn't one of them.
Love love love!! Super hydrating yet light. So happy with this product, will definitely be re-purchasing the full size tidal.
    Worth the hype 100%
I had read reviews on this and been wanting to try it for ages, I got the small one to try out, and I've already bought the larger one. It sinks into the skin rapidly and doesn't leave you feeling sticky/ It's got such a great texture to it, exactly how the name says 'water based'. It honestly made my skin tone more even, plumper, and made me look so much more healthy. I can't wait to use this in the summer months as I think it's exactly what my skin needs. I've officially a Sunday Riley fangirl.
    Summer Lifesaver
It's always summer where I'm from and the lightweight watery gel-texture makes it easier for my skin to drink it all up. Currently on my 3rd jar. And speaking of jars, it's 2018..........update packaging maybe?
Best for winters and will not break you out
This product is a light jell like and will look a little greasy immediately after application. I have oily skin but it does not break me out. If you are looking for a mattifying moisturizer then don't go for this but if you are looking for hydration for your skin then give it a try.It keeps the skin well-hydrated overnight and skin becomes smoother in the morning. This is my first Sunday Riley product and I want to try more products from them.
Do and feel exactly what the name says
I have oily/combination skin and its gel texture is perfect. I especially love to wear it under makeup - better than any makeup base products. It really hydrates the skin, but don't make the surface sticky. And its perfect if you love to do face massage routine. Its enough slippery for the time you massage.
I really like the hydrating quality of this moisturiser, so much so that I blended my 15g with my foundation which, combined with a setting powder, gives me a dewy but not oily/shiny look. I'm a bit addicted to this finished effect and will definitely repurchase! I remove a star because it did not successfully tackle some dry skin issues I had and the smell is a definite drawback.
    Best Product Ever
I love this product for getting rid of dryness and not being too oily.
    My favourite moisturiser
Absolutely love this. Received the small size as part of the Cult Beauty Summer Goody Bag. The first time I used it I didn't really like it- the texture felt strange and it seemed too light. However, my skin looked and felt so much better the next morning so I kept on using it and now I love it. I've already bought the full size one. This was my first Sunday Riley product but have since bought Ceramic Slip which I also love and really want to try Luna next.
    Really good moisturiser
In the past year, I've been suffering from hormonal acne around my chin area - it appeared out of the blue (the joys of turning 30) and I have been really struggling to make it go away. As a result, I've been trying a whole load of new serums and creams to see if any would help at all. I got the travel size of this cream and have been using it for 3 weeks now, morning and evenings and I'm really impressed. I haven't had any new breakouts, the ones already there have shrunk and/or dried out. Furthermore, my skin (which tends to be a touch dry) feels plumped and quite radiant. It's true the product has a fairly strong fragrance, and I wouldn't describe it as particularly nice. However, whilst my skin can be prone to reacting to some ingredients, those in this product didn't give me any issues. Will definitely make this part of my routine going forward.
    Refreshing and hydrating
I love Tidal! I am using it in the morning as my daily moisturiser. Wonderfully refreshing and hydrating to the skin - it sits really well under SPF and make up. Fresh smell without being overpowering and thick gel consistency that melts across your face and into your skin. My first time using and I will be re-purchasing.
    The only moisturiser you need
It was the first time I had ever heard of Sunday Riley. I was blown away. I love a gel formula and this particular offering is sooo lightweight and hydrating. Because of the price point, I have tried alternatives such as Drunk Elephant's Polypeptide moisturiser, but nothing, I repeat, nothing, compares.
    A great moisteriser
I'm on my 4th jar of Tidal and I keep coming back for more. This moisturiser leaves your skin fully hydrated and smooth all day. The one ingredient that drew me to this product is Arbutin, which is one of my favourite ingredients. The only thing wrong with this product is the price!! We should be getting more for the money it costs, but I love it. It's a great option having the 15g jar when you can't stretch to the full size.
    Simply Lovely
A lovely lightweight daytime moisturiser that helps lighten dark spots. I have normal skin and it great under makeup. Bought full size after tried out small one given not cheap, but worth it and will last a long time.
    Made me break out
I really wanted to like this moisturiser, and I was very excited when this arrived! I had wanted to try this for a while and eventually decided to give this a try. I hoped for a bright, dewy complexion. Instead, what I got was a breakout of spots and whiteheads and enlarged pores. Before I started using this cream, my skin was already in good condition, and since my teenage years, I have been lucky to have clear skin. I am now 43. I found the cream to lie heavy on my skin, and it took a long time to absorb. Regrettably, I splash out on the 50ml size. I am very disappointed with the results of this, and after 2 weeks of using, I have given up using this cream, and my skin is slowly starting to recover.
Does Exactly What It Says On The Tin (Jar lol)
This moisturiser is the TRUTH!!! It was recommended by a colleague and I’m so glad I bought it! A bit pricy for what you’re getting but it’s done wonders for my skin. My complexion is much brighter. I’d recommend to ANYONE.
    Some breakouts
This is tiny. You don't need much, so it would last a little while, but it's still small for the price. I might be among the unfortunate few who had a breakout when using this. It's luxe, but there are comparable hydrating products that are much cheaper and don't cause breakouts, so I wouldn't repurchase.
    Dry skin be gone!!
I have always ALWAYS struggled with dry skin and have tried The ordinary, Liz Earle etc but this is honestly HONESTLY so good for hydration. My sister recommended me (I’m really lazy with my skincare routine) and I really am so grateful. I use this with a good hyaluronic acid serum and Dr Roebuck’s AHA brightening mask (every few days) and my skin is perfect. I also have the coil and are prone to having cystic acne flare-ups. This is soothing and keeps the redness at bay. So happy to finally find MY moisturiser.
    My go-to summer moisturizer
I love this moisturizer for summer. It’s light and it makes my skin feel nourished and pampered.
Skin looked and felt greasy 2+ hours after applying it
Could be better suited for someone with dry skin?
    Just Amazing!
This is the most amazing product ever. It does exactly what it promises and more!
    Yes yes yaaaaaas!
As a lover of all Korean products, I've struggled to purchase my usual gel products from abroad due to coronavirus, so I thought I'd buy the trial sized pot to test Sunday Riley for the first time. SO not disappointed. It's not runny, not sticky, very gentle and has a semi cold feel to it, super refreshing. It goes down well over the top of my water based serums and makes my skin look super hydrated for a healthy glass skin look, super happy and buying the large size.
    Holy grail
I’ve been using this for years now, and I don’t think I’ll be switching to anything else anytime soon. It’s perfect for my oily skin and as it’s lightweight and melts into the skin. It also plays well with other skincare products. The only con I have is that is doesn’t last very long at all, I buy a new one every month/month and a half. (Maybe I’m heavy-handed?) But all in all, I love it.
    Will repurchase
It’s one of the better moisturisers I have used. Non-irritating on my sensitive skin, it does the job and gives a nice glow. I do think it’s expensive for what you get as the tub is very small in comparison to how bulky the packaging is.
    One word.... amazing
It is a very light moisturizer for normal skin which leaves the skin very soft.
    Feels lovely
I have extremely dry skin (Ichthyosis) but I love this moisturizer. It feels lovely on my skin without being too rich. This is my third or fourth tub.
    It is ok.
For the price it is nothing special. It is really lightweight, leaves like a barrier on the skin, but there are a lot of better creams for less money.
Seems lovely when putting it on and face has a nice healthy glow. But when I rub it in it just balls off onto fingers. I read that you can use this over the top of Luna sleep oil but to me it doesn’t work. Not very happy with the price and size of the product.
    Too expensive for the benefits
It's a good cream that hydrates, giving a fresh sensation. It's ok but I am not sure if its benefits are enough to pay so much money for it again...
    Light and hydrating
Sunday Riley never fails! All their products I've used left me glad I bought them, and this cream is no exception! Super light consistency, quickly absorbing and sooo hydrating! I normally have dryness issues in springtime, but this cream made me forget that I do! Another thing I really appreciate of SR is they make the smaller sizes, allowing you to try before investing in a product you might not like or tolerate. Thank you guys, great job!
    It's weird
I have sensitive, dry skin. In general, lightweight cream can be absorbed by my skin very quickly, but this one does not. It's weird, the first fifteen minutes of applying on my face it does have a brightening effect. When I wore it for the night, I woke up the next morning and there was no change in the skin. The only thing was that I felt was sticky. As a skin care product, it actually contains glitter powder. It was not found at the beginning of use. It is difficult to find it without looking carefully. This explains why the first fifteen minutes of massaging on the face has a brightening effect and quickly disappears. I can't understand anything like this kind of ridiculous formula. Buying it is a waste of money and I would never repurchase it.
Honestly heard so many great things about this product from people with very different skin types. This one's not messing around; my skin is clear and scars have disappeared. Probably gonna use this forever.
    Brightening Enzyme Water Cream
This cream is very light (too light for me even though I have a combination skin). After usage of this cream, my skin was not brighter or more moisturized. This cream fails to have any effect on my skin (good or bad).
    Best moisturiser ever
I have seriously dry skin (think dry patches, scales, makeup sitting horribly) and ever since I invested in this moisturiser I can't remember the last time I had anything less than well hydrated skin. This is my absolute holy grail of moisturisers! My only issues are the price and lack of spf option.
    Good but fragranced
This product is really good but the only issue with it is that is has fragrance in it. So if you have sensitive skin stay away from this product. Fragranced products are not recommended for any skin types because they irritate the skin a lot. So save your money and buy a fragrance free hyaluronic acid based moisturizer for dehydrated skin.
    Extremely Moisturising
I bought this about two months before my wedding, I have dry skin and needed something to eliminate the dry patches. This is amazing, it brightens my skin and really re-hydrates it. It doesn't smell too strong, and it really is soothing on the skin. I will definitely be repurchasing.
    Sunday Riley Tidal
I am ancient and shrivelled (well 51 and parched and prone to over exaggeration) and found Tidal wonderfully plumping and soothing for my dehydrated skin.
    Luxurious but disappointing
The Tidal Brightening Enzyme Water Cream is certainly luxurious. As with all Sunday Riley products, the packaging is beautiful, practical and of good quality. I prefer products with pumps for sanitary reasons but did not have any issues dipping into this with a cotton bud or clean fingers. I bought this as it seemed to fill a gap in my skincare routine, as I was missing a treatment and a moisturiser. I was particularly interested in its hyaluronic acid and papaya enzymes, in addition to alpha-arbutin and giant white bird of paradise extract which claimed to "brighten hyperpigmentation spots and restore uniformity of tone". I have to say, I'm mildly disappointed. It is a very luxurious-feeling product. It feels divine to apply, sinks in quickly but not too quickly, and smells pleasant. I liked that it is a gel-cream and does not feel too oily. However, I was expecting more of an effect on my skin for the price tag and its claims. I didn't find my skin particularly plumped, more even-toned or brightened. My face did feel softer. I finished the tub very quickly, within three months. Overall, luxurious but disappointing. I think there is a possibility that this will work very well for some people, particularly if you are more mature. I'm 21 and my skin concerns are blemishes and hyperpigmentation, rather than hydration. My skin is quite plump and hydrated by itself and requires a lot of exfoliation, chemical or physical, to feel smooth and look its best. Perhaps it addresses skin concerns that I just don't have. Nice, but not for me.
    Tidal Creme is amazing !!
Wow... That feeling you get when you apply this Creme is divine. It has made my skin look more even and I have stopped using foundation as my skin tone like that even ❤️ Love it! Definitely will recommend to my friends.
I never thought I will find a moisturizer cream that wouldn’t break me out. Everything I tried broke me out or didn’t have the results claimed. This cream is the first that did what I expected it to do. It hydrates my skin, brightens it and my texturized skin is visibly better. And if I pair it with the Good Genes ... perfection in 2 steps it’s all I can say ! Totally recommend if you have acne prone skin or sensitive skin !
    Not worth it.
I read many reviews on this product before deciding to give it a go. While I don't regret it as I think you have to find out for yourself, I can say the first thing that happened to me was a major outbreak. I rarely get pimples. So that was not a good sign at all. And these were more like a boil than an actual pimple. I can say, if you use it super sparingly then this may not happen but then one wonders what is the effect? I didn't really see much brightening…It does feel nice but it is super oily. And I also don't really feel the cost makes sense against the amount in the bottle. There are many other products on the market that are about the same but you also get a much more decent sized bottle. This was too small. So, no, I would not recommend.
I have tried so many moisturisers over the years, my skin would break out but then it would also be extremely dry so I was frustrated. This product, I came across by chance and I haven't looked back. I always get complimented on my skin that I am glowing and it looks plumped and it hasn't made my skin break out once. Perfect water-based moisturiser. I use it night and morning. The only downside is the price but I'm willing to pay it because it's a holy grail product I couldn't live without.
    Very good
The cream is excellent, but is not fully absorbing!
    Best moisturizer ever
In love with this product it’s like one glass of water.. light in texture, my skin afterwards feels plumped, hydrated and glowing. Love Sunday Riley product this is one of the best
Love, but the packaging is a big no
Love this so much - I've been using it all summer. I bought the larger size for home and the smaller pot for travelling. It's the perfect light moisturiser for my combo skin. However, the packaging is SO unhygienic! I wish it was a pump.
    Love the cream horrrendous packaging
Bought this cream after I tried the sample and fell in love! Light and fresh and very hydrating as it says, however, the tub slipped from my dresser after a few uses and the jar cracked open. £60 of luxury splattered all over my carpet. Since the formula is slippery I would prefer this in a tube or pump to dispense as a little goes a long way. Super sad though.
    It was a grower!!
I have just finished my second pot of this and I have to say I looooove this moisturiser. I first purchased this in November 2016 and I found it wasn’t moisturising enough. However, I was going through some changes in my life and my skin was completely ravaged! Another moisturiser and a bit of liquid gold fixed that but then I was left with the pot and start using again to finish it after my skin returned to normal. I started noticing that my skin was looking plumper and the fine lines around my eyes disappeared as the hyaluronic acid got to work and plumped them up! I then also noticed that the consistency was, in fact, perfect and absorbed really well and makeup looked lovely on top. I slowly started to love it as I saw the benefits of using it consistently. I then purchased a second pot after using a few different moisturisers for comparison and I have to say, the second time around from the first application of this cream I noticed the difference and benefits right away. I absolutely love it. When my skin is normal (2hich for me means dry and not impacted by stress) this cream is wonderful wonderful wonderful. It makes me glow and look plumper and radiant. I am definitely purchasing my 3rd pot. There is a travel sized version for 20£ which is worth buying for a try so if you’re interested to buy that! For now, I’ll buy my full sized versions. I love it.
I have the most temperamental skin when it comes to any and all things I put on my face. This, however, works WONDERS. I bought the smaller size to try out and I have fallen in love! I no longer have oily, greasy skin and my textured/bumpiness on my cheeks and forehead has gone completely! I will 100000% be purchasing the full size once I'm out!
    Not impressed
For the price of this cream, I was expecting a lot more out of it. After application, the gel just sticks on your face and doesn't plump or add anything beneficial. Will not be purchasing again.
    Fixed my dehydration
This cream is so beautiful. I adore the water like texture, it's very light and subtly fragranced. It absorbs very well and I find upon immediate application it gives a wonderful glow. Really helped fixed my skin. As always happy with Sunday Riley products.
It's awesome and provides slight exfoliation. Why the jar packaging though.
    The perfect moisturiser
Recently converted to Sunday Riley to try to switch up my skincare routine. My skin is combination/oily and I've really been suffering from breakouts recently (particularly around my chin area) despite having a super clean diet. I've always struggled to find a decent moisturiser - too nothing, too creamy, too heavy, the works. This is absolutely perfect. Smells gorgeous and because it's very clearly water-based it just glides onto the skin and absorbs really well. Makes a great base for makeup. Have been using this with the Martian toner as my first Sunday Riley products and I'm loving them. Currently eyeing up UFO and Good Genes as I write this!
It makes my skin look even
After few weeks of using this moisturiser, I was surprised how my skin changed, it looks fresh, smooth and wrinkles are less visible. My skin finally hydrated. I really love it and while trying some other brands I'm definitely will choose Sunday Riley over and over again.
    Best moisturiser ever
I have been using this for nearly a year now and it is an absolute dream. I used to have dry skin but that is now a thing of the past all because of this moisturiser. I wish I didn't love it so much because it costs an arm and a leg! But it is totally worth all the limbs. Great that it comes in a travel size, which is also good for trying out the product before buying.
    Nice for oily skin
If you have oily skin and want a moisturizer that is light in texture and lets the skin breathe but still is rich enough to hydrate and make your face smooth, this is the one.
    amazing cream gel
Having received a tiny tester pot of this stuff I checked it out carefully but its so amazingly wonderful leaving a fabulous smooth rehydrated plumpness with no breakouts, no nasty greasy film lingering I'm going to have to get my wallet out and buy a big jar now! damnit!
    Not moisturising - Disappointed!
I have combination skin, oily T-zone and dry cheeks. I was recommended this product for my skin type to try. I had been using the Drunk Elephant - Protini cream prior to trying this and that cream was amazing, although quite high pricing for £57, it actually lasted me 6 months. Unfortunately this cream has done nothing for providing my skin with moisture. I use the ordinary hyaluronic acid underneath and put this on top, my skin feels tight and dry. I will be going back to Drunk Elephant - Protini.
    Love Love Love
No more breakouts! Not heavy and very watery. It gives you that fresh and radiant look. I highly recommend it.
    Terrible size !!!
This moisturiser is fab, can’t fault the actual product itself. But I was so disappointed with the amount of product you get for £20. I have used morning and night and only lasted me about 10 days. I was careful with the amount I used each time when the product arrived and I seen how little was in the tub. If I knew this I would have just paid the extra and bought the £60 one. But makes me wonder how long that size would last. So I have removed stars on the value for money aspect.
    Tidal by Sunday Riley
Tidal is the cream you use to brighten any face or complexion, it never fails. It imparts dewiness, clarity, and all over a healthy complexion. Just one of the incredible standouts from a range that has many.
I love this moisturiser, I get a lot of breakouts but since using this product for a few weeks I haven’t had a single breakout, I definitely will be buying it again.
For acne prone skin and sensitive skin
I use it after salicylic acid toner, and now I have glass skin all the bumps and pimples under my skin are gone, my skin is smooth and soft
I usually buy cheaper moisturisers, however, the skin on my face was becoming so dry I decided to spend a little more and I definitely will not be going back to the old cheap stuff. This moisturiser felt light in my skin, I needed barely any on the application and it got rid of the dry patches on my face in just a few days. The only downside for me was the smell, however, this disappears within a few seconds and so it would not stop me from using the product. I 100% would recommend.
It is a lovely product and makes my skin feel refreshed once applied. However I don’t see any long term affect and if anything I have noticed my skin is dryer than before.
This product is amazing! It brightened my skin and made it glow. As it is a watery consistency, it is light and drys beautifully into skin. I really feel it also helped brighten my melasma .... already have a back up and will be using it soon. Love it!
    Very nice
I have normal to dehydrated skin and instantly noticed a positive difference using this moisturiser. My make up sat so much better and lasted longer. I think it’s fairly priced. The only downfall is the smell it’s not unpleasant but I wouldn’t say it was pleasant otherwise it would have been a 5 out of 5
    Really Nice
A lovely cream, light and sinks in quickly.
The cream is lovely, but really no better than say The Ordinary moisturizer. Please be aware that buying the very small jar at £20 a throw is really throwing your money away.
    Same as drugstore
I purchased this to pair with the Luna Oil, however, apart from good hydration, cannot recommend this more that a pharmacy alternative like Vichy.
    Average product
It does the job of hydration without making you feel sticky or clogged and that's about it. I don't see any changes in my skin for better or worse. Don't expect any instant brightening.
    The best
I have been using Tidal on and off for a year now, and every time I stop using it I can tell. My skin is smooth, glowing and even, even my mum commented on how amazing my skin looks when using Tidal. It does help with hyperpigmentation and I do not get new scars when using. The price is steep, but it does work and a little goes a long way.
    La mejor! - The Best!
Me encanta, es ligera pero muy hidratante, desde que la uso, mi piel no ha vuelto a tener zonas deshidratadas. Se absorbe rápido y noto mi piel humectada horas. Es cara, pero sin duda lo vale. I love it, it is light but very moisturizing and since I started using it my skin has not returned to being dehydrated. It absorbs quickly and my skin feels hydrated for hours. It is expensive, but certainly worth it.
    Love this!
I bought the 15g to try this out and was so pleased with the results. I just purchased the 50g and will be re-purchasing from now on - quite pricey, but definitely worth it.
    Best moisturiser ever
Incredibly hydrating and doesn't leave that sensation of tackiness on your face... face remains soft all day after use. However I noticed a difference between the 15g and the 50g product; for some reason the formula in the smaller bottle seemed inferior and the oil separated from the rest of the product, whereas I did not have any of these problems with the larger bottle (could it be a packaging issue?).
    Perfect for summer
During Winter, my go-to has become Kate Somerville Nourish moisturizer. LOVE it. But I've noticed that during Spring and Summer, it's not as great because I simply need a whopping amount of moisture with very, very little oil. I bought the small size of this for my holiday just because I didn't want to carry a big jar or tube and it was available. I didn't expect much but was pleasantly surprised. It's VERY moisturizing. My skin tends to get oilier in the summer so as others have noted, this will leave a slightly tacky film that tends to get oily unless you use mattifying sunscreen or makeup. I don't care though. These days I prefer an oily face over a dehydrated, itchy one. I don't know if it brightens because I use retinol and Vit C so this will probably not have any additional effect. The smell is slightly cucumber-y but not overpowering. It feels fresh and nicely plumps the skin. No breakouts for me whatsoever. Why it needed pearl powder is beyond me though. Brands need to just leave that stuff out of skincare, nobody needs it.
    Amazing! But pricey
I received a sample size of this product and it was one of the best things I've ever received! It's good to use every other day to see the best results and it has significantly lighted hyperpigmentation!
Broke me out - not worth the money
After hearing amazing things about Sunday Riley, I was super excited to try out this cream. Although the formula of the cream was really thick and luxurious, I noticed a slight burning sensation whenever I applied it, and I have now broken out all over my face in a rash. Really disappointed with this product as I expected the product to be better than what it was considering the hefty price point.
    Like it
I like it but it has a certain smell/fragrance that I don't like. So probably I won't buy it again.
This moisturizer would be good but for the excessive amounts of fragrance in it which makes it harsh on sensitive skins like my own. This was intensely hydrating but at times, made my face tingle and almost feel a little sore. For that reason I don't find the £60 price tag remotely reasonable and later switched to a £7 moisturiser from the Ordinary which was much more effective and helped clear my skin.
    Soothing for dry winter skin
As someone with very easily upset skin, I have struggled to find a moisturizer that doesn't cause greasiness, acne & that actually sinks in to restore moisture. This product has been the answer for my skin. It smells beautiful and has kept my skin well nourished during this cold winter. I would now consider this moisturizer my "lifer" and won't be switching to anything else. Highly recommended & worth the money.
Having tried and loved multiple Sunday Riley products, I thought I'd give this a go when my usual moisturiser ran out. I'm in my mid-20s, combination skin, live in the tropics. While this moisturiser was alright, it didn't have that wow factor that the usual Sunday Riley product has. Pair that with the excessive price tag, I will never purchase this moisturiser again. Save your money girls and go get "Good Genes" or any Sunday Riley facial oil, I promise you this one is a skip.
    Holy grail for thirsty skin
My skin has never quite recovered from the course of medication I took in my teens that left it severely dehydrated. In order to keep it moisturised, I've generally had to use both a hydrating serum and a moisturiser to separately address the issues of both surface dryness and deeper dehydration. Tidal is a total game changer for me in that it does both in one step. The brightening and clarifying effects aren't negligible either - it does with one product what I would previously have had to use several to achieve, and my skin has never looked better. If you have oily skin this probably won't be of as much benefit to you. However, if you have dry and/or dehydrated skin, this will leave it plump, smooth and glowy like nothing else.
    Worth the penny
Super love this product! It really does what it say, putting this on morning and night then you'll notice few hours later after application your skin really moisturize and brighten. Love Sunday Riley's product.
    Great for dry skin
Winter has dried out my skin and I've tried so many moisturisers to help hydrate it properly and get rid of the dry patches. This cream has done that in just two applications. I don't think I'll ever be able to give it up.
