I used this for the first time, and blow dried with my usual styling products - Olaplex 6 & 7. I had very shiny, very smooth, glossy hair after using it just once. Because it made my hair so smooth, it did flatten the volume on top of my head compared to other products, but overall, I was impressed with the shine. It does say on the back of the tube that you should use a shampoo and conditioner before using the mask. I usually forgo conditioner when using a mask, and did the same here. I think next time I will apply some conditioner and rinse it out before applying the mask as my ends were dry, and they're not normally. The price is also very steep, so IMHO, I do think there are comparable hair masks that do just a good job or better for slightly less. The smell is also off-putting -- there's a very strong floral smell which is lovely, and lasts even after you wash it out (sadly not through the blow dry), but there's also a cooking oil smell. The cooking oil smell lasts in your hair for a couple days. I hate it.

I have very dry hair that is prone to being bushy and frizzy. I have been using Ranavat hair oil for about 2 years and it is great. I just started with the hair masque and I love it. My hair feels a lot more manageable and doesn’t get oily as quickly. 

My hair is slightly wavy, very dry and brittle unfortunately! even though I don’t use heat or chemically treat my hair. I loosely follow the curly girl method in terms of the type of ingredients to avoid so was looking forward to trying this. First use I followed the instructions and didn’t notice any improvement. I did notice my ends were looking even drier than normal which was strange. Second time I left it on for longer and I definitely felt a difference, my hair felt softer and looked shiner than normal however after 2 days it was extremely dry. I am very confused as I have a hard water filter installed so thought I’d see even better results. For the price I’m very disappointed.
