Better than they say it is
I’m never really inclined to review but I feel like I need to give this product some justice. I believe this works brilliantly for the right skin type. It comes off as an oily texture, almost like a cleansing oil/balm texture and smell. If you have dry skin, this is amazing. When you apply at first, it doesn’t look like it’ll cover evenly. But over a few minutes, it has some magic voodoo self-levelling that evens out the coverage around your face. I was apprehensive because YouTubers kept on blasting it for not working well with powder. I’ve had great success with my Hourglass Veil setting powder, as long as most other powders, including the Chantecaille blur powder. I thought the first time I tried it, it was a fluke when I came home 7+ hours later looking as fresh as when I first applied it. Then I tried again and again. It wasn’t a fluke. It works great and lasts for hours! 3-4 drops are enough to cover the redness on my face. I would say this is Light to Medium coverage (probably closer to medium for me). It’s a great product and well worth the money but only if you have super dry skin like me. It’s perfect for the winter as it keeps your skin looking natural, when normally I come home with flakes on my skin by the end of the day.

Can’t stand the smell
I love most of WA products and some became my favourites. I found the foundation stick too heavy for me so I was looking forward to try lighter foundation from WA. It is ok in terms of performance as my skin is not oily, otherwise it would be too oily. However, I can’t stand the smell. It is like used cooking oil 🙄 I understand she doesn’t want to use a fragrance but I could smell this all day long😵💫

I have been contemplating buying this since it launched as I love all this range but having combo/oily skin I kept hesitating but with the discount I thought I’d go for it. I’m so pleased I did, I actually think this could be my favourite ‘foundation’ I own, you hardly need any so dont worry about the tiny bottle! It give such a beautiful natural finish that does feel greasy going on but settles to a really healthy glow. Totally in love! Shade matching is perfect too!

I was taken aback by how much I like this product. I have normal skin, with some pigmentation and it covers everything beautifully. Emphasis on beautifully, my skin still looks like skin and has that glow from within-look. It feels quite oily, I didn't expect to like that but I definitely do. I'll definitely repurchase these drops, but I think this bottle will last me a good while.

This is my second purchase of this INCREDIBLE product. Probably not best for oily prone skin, but for dry skin like mine it’s wonderful. A little goes a VERY long way, with high pigment and surprising coverage. It leaves the skin glowing and looking hydrated. I love the ingredients list too, it’s the perfect mix of skincare and makeup! And it lasts beautifully too. If I am going out in the evening or for long periods of time I layer with the foundation stick… The dream team!

Very good but make sure you follow directions!
I have only used this a handful of times but each time I have done a double take when I look in the mirror! It makes my skin look glowy and smooth. I have maturing dry skin (early 40s) and I’m finding more often than not foundations (and even some tinted moisturizers) look heavy and dry on my skin… not this! Just 4 tiny drops is enough to cover my face and thus far I have used my fingers only. I am considering the complexion brush that was released with this. Don’t use more than 4 drops though as I feel that this will be too much for the skin to handle and it will start to look a bit greasy. I have been frustrated by some YouTube reviews where the product has been layered on for more coverage… it has not been designed for this… this is for those good skin days where all that is required is glow and evened complexion. I use Atelier II in the complexion stick and decided to get the same shade in this this product and it works nicely. It reminds me a little bit of the Kosas tinted face oil, but I found that product to emphasize my dryness, whereas this does not. The Kosas also feels more like a dry oil, where as this is more hydrating. I would repurchase this once it’s finished but I have only given it 4 stars due to the price… I know it’s Westman Atelier but it just seems over priced for what it is and the amount you get. Being a skincare hybrid, 50ml would have been nice.
