For the price, I'm kind of disappointed The colours are pretty, and while they're buildable, they're not very pigmented initially. They also are so, so soft and there is a lot of fall out/mess in the pallete because of this. Personally, I wish I had done more research, my skin tone may be a factor in some of this? Anyway, hopefully this review will help others not make the same mistake I did in purchasing this pallete. Save your coins

The packaging is great - elegant but practical. The size of the individual shadows is great - will last for ages. Love the mirror. Some reviews I've seen were disappointed there's no brush included but it's not a problem for me. Much better to select the most appropriate brushes from my own CTcollection. My fav colour has to be Lavarock. Not sure about the orange and yellow shades on my mature eyes but I'm going to enjoy experimenting. They are easy to blend and last well on the lids, with or without a primer. I also like to use them over the eye wands for a more intense result. I pondered about getting this palette but Cult Beauty had a promotion on so I took the plunge and I'm glad I did!! A great "essentials" pallette for anyone's collection. Highly recommend.

A lot larger than I expected and the pan sizes are huge! Great for make up artists, the mirror folds right back too so you can hold the palette easily in your hands. The mattes are beautiful, pigmented and blend well, some shimmer are quite glittery so best to use a glitter glue. Packaging is stunning!

I’ve never been interested in purchasing a large eyeshadow palette because of my hooded eye lids, but there’s something about the tutorials I’ve seen where the influencers have created some of the most stunning looks with The Essential Palette and I couldn’t resist.
