The Ordinary does better

The smell is just Beurk, I don’t know if I have a older product or it is just me but I hate the smell. It didn’t do much for me. Definitely will not by this again.

Doesn't smell. Runny. Hydrating.

I got this along with a few other The Ordinary serums with the purpose of hydrating my skin (it's dried out with nightly anti-blemish treatment) for the day, without using rich or oily formulas. Having used it for a week, I cannot yet comment on the long term effects, but: 1. It does NOT smell. Perhaps the formula changed, as many users complained about the heavy odour - apparently this brand listens to its customers. 2. It is indeed very lightweight. 3. It hydrates and soothes the skin. On the whole: does what it promises, yet I would not firmly repurchase as it's not a wow effect. I'll use this bottle and move on to the slightly richer alternative from the brand; the hyaluronic + vit. B.

Not that great

I don't like it that much... the smell is horrible and I don't feel like it hydrates almost at all, maybe it's better to use in summer.

I love it

This must be my favourite The Ordinary product. It is such a lightweight hydrator and it always calms down my skin. The smell can be unpleasant at first but it fades away quite quickly.

It's nice but the smell is not pleasant

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have dehydrated skin and this product helps to diffuse heavier hydrating creams so they absorb better and faster.

Great value for money

Given its price, this serum does work. The not-so-pleasant scent and the feeling of residue left while applying it on your face would be the downsides but on the plus side it is very lightweight, doesn't cause outbreaks and it does leave your skin hydrated, looking pretty the next morning. Overall, it works!

Smells bad

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

Unfortunately this smells terrible - a bit like puke. I also found it a bit light for my skin and dont feel like it does much. First Ordinary fail for me as I generally love their stuff, I prefer the normal hyaluronic acid which is great.
