Fell way below expectations

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

I was so excited when I heard about this product! It is compact, is meant to sit well on top of make up and acts as an easy SPF refresher throughout the day. In reality, it has a greasy finish, pushes my foundation around and melts into your eye over the course of the day. The product is not a new one either- SuperGoop has just added sexy packaging to the concept. Surfers have been using sunscreen sticks for ages. I'd recommend using 'Australian Gold's sunscreen stick instead. It's cheaper, doesn't melt into your eye and has more of a waxy texture that isn't uncomfortable.

Could be better...

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

The Tiktok hype got me to buy this but at points, I wish I had not. I feel like I am rubbing a grease oil mix on my face and my belief is that putting SPF on should not be this off-putting when the stick is meant to be a convenient reapplying idea. A shame - wish it had worked out.

Convenient

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

I love the packaging and how convenient this is. I also like that it's clear and doesn't leave colour on the skin. It doesn't seem to sink in, but settles on the skin and looks quite shiny. Not handy for under makeup but I like it on top.

Works ok

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

I like the convenience of having SPF in a stick however this is not the best one in the market. It tends to sit on top of my skin and doesn't absorb properly and is definitely not an SPF I would wear under makeup. It tends to separate my complexion products a lot. You can find better stick sunscreens out there.

Fun, protecting and chic!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I took this on my honeymoon and kept it in my little bag and what a wonder product! I used it to top up throughout the day, when I just got out the pool or ocean and what surprised me the most with this - How much my husband loves it! I take my SPF very seriously, whereas he.. well... with this, because of the application and texture, he actually would ask for it! (Which is a first). It glides on with ease, so smooth to the touch and is completely clear. I'd put it on most the time without a mirror and didn't have to worry. I also used it over make up and it did transfer anything! Amazing.

greasy, not glowy

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

I had high hopes for this. I like using stick sunscreens alone and over makeup. I wear a demi matte foundation, so my previous one would smear it and it went on too thick. This seemed thinner as it was oil based. And sure enough, it's just a stick of oil. One swipe was enough glow, but to get the recommended spf protection you have to swipe around four times. So, between classes, four swipes on my face I do. I am left a disco ball without a party. I would've looked less greasy had I bathed in actual olive oil. I tried patting some off with a tissue, but that negates the point of it being spf 50. Worse still, even though it had plenty of slip, my foundation did smear a lot on my chin and forehead. I have given up on this product. If you like the korean beauty-esque 'glass skin' look, however, then this is for you.

Glowing disappointment

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

The concept is really a winner but the product performance is a terrible let down.the whole stick thing comes complete apart after a few times that has been used leaving a hole in the middle of the tube. Bits of the stick are also coming off the main body of the stick making the whole process incredibly messy and product is wasted. The stick has a really nice feel on application but the product is just not user friendly and incompatible with the design of the packaging, Real shame. I would really like to return the product :(

Fantastic product

This is a fantastic product, it goes on clear, easy to apply and perfect size for you to carry in your bag. No reactions, no burning, perfect product which I have used on my children too.

Sort of iffy on this one(?)

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I wanted to love this sunstick right out the gate, currently having an adventure with this SPF stick, just finished my first one. I got acne prone, sensitive (erythema) skin, while being oily with dry patches on the forehead sometimes. I prefer using it at home or when I’m not going to be worried about my appearance outside. You shouldn’t rub your SPF into your face for too long according to studies as it can reduce the affective-ness of said SPF when you wear it. Unfortunately if I’m going to reapply in public- I need to gently swipe it into the skin for it to remotely look wearable otherwise I look like I’ve been drowning in oils. However it doesn’t have a scent and hasn’t made my eyes water or irritated. Not many drug store/non K-Beauty sticks can do that. Do I think this is a smash-hit winner? No. But if you have dryer skin and don’t mind a dewy glow (and you have practically flawless skin), then go for it. It feels almost like a watery-lotion on the face so at least it doesn’t drag or pull on my skin when applied. Big pros is lack of irritating scent and no eye-stinging. Major con is that this isn’t suited for all skin types.

still got sunburnt...

While it is easy to apply and I like the concept, it is very oily! I also got sunburnt even with it applied, I put it on 15 minutes before I left & reapplied throughout the day. Will not be buying again.
