Alongside its suncare benefits, this is also a youth-boosting moisturiser that hydrates and keeps excess shine at bay. If that wasn't enough, this daily hero offers a sheer tint with a soft-matte finish which makes for the ideal base pre make up or for a little hint of coverage on those no-make up make up days.

I would not recommend this product for darker skin.
I recently ran out of my old Paula's Choice moisturiser which is the exact same product as this one but without the new branding/packaging and I thought it would be the exact same but it's not. This moisturiser has tint and is actually nude in colour when it comes out of the tube. It leaves a white cast that's more obvious on darker skinned people. Really disappointed because no where in the product description is this mentioned. Unfortunately it just sits on my vanity unused. I'm sure it's a great product but the white cast it leaves on my face is off putting. I don't wear makeup everyday so it's impossible for me to hide the cast it leaves. Again, I'm sure the product itself is great because I have used it before but I don't like that it now leaves a cast with this new formula. And also, it's 2019 why are SPF moisturisers not formulated for dark people to use without leave a cast?!?

Great sunscreen!
This is my favorite sunscreen from Paula's choice! I tried all the mineral ones because I never use chemical on my face and I love it! I like all of the mineral ones, but this one really is special. It mattifies, but doesn't dry out the skin at all, it actually hydrates. The only problem is that the tint is neutral-pink-grey and I am light skinned but with strong yellow-olive undertones so I can only wear it either under foundation or I put a yellow-toned powder over and it's better because obviously, I hate having a grey-pink face.

A thick pink mess
The truth is every skin is different and a product review is extremely personal, what worked good on me might feel like sh...ame on somebody else and vice-versa. But I am gonna write this review anyhow, because I am mad at this product. It was horrendous for my skin type. It's thick, it's incredibily pink, the color looks unreal on my skin tone - light/medium with neutral undertones - and it leaves a white under-cast that I guess comes from the SPF. The product is allegedly made for normal to combination skin (my case), but it took me a single application to get break outs. I paused it just because I was unsure regarding the actual cause, skin was clear again. I gave it another try: new congested pores after one use. And we are talking SPF 30, I regularly use SPFs starting at 50 and I get no break outs and no white cast at all (hello, 2019 anyone?) I don't know about its mosturizing properties in the long run, but at this point there won't be any long run. The price is outrageous for the product performance. I am not even talking about fragrance and the feeling at the application, but yeah, it doesn't get any better. Wtf, Cult Beauty?

A wonder product!
I'm very fair, so always need to wear sunscreen. I usually buy high street moisturisers with SPF, but the lightest/smoothest creams tend to peak at around factor 20. I took a punt on this pricier moisturiser, and I'm thrilled! It's so smooth and actually gives a bit of mattifying coverage, so I'm happy to go without foundation (although I don't know how it would look on darker skintones). I have oily/blemish-prone skin, and this sits beautifully on it, despite the high SPF factor. Fabulous!
