Actually quite good, much better than expected

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

Maybe due to not having high expectations this moisturizer surprised me by being lightweight (I also have oily 40 something skin) and with just a slight hint of colour. Sinks in well and stays put all day long. I am quite impressed and this will be one of the few products that I will repurchase.

Not a moisturiser

3 stars out of a maximum of 5

This did not moisturise my skin - If anything, it dried it out. The coverage was fine and it does well as sun protection, but my skin felt dry and became patchy with dry areas within a few days, even though I was still a night cream to add moisture.

Pale but good

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I like this product and feel it gives a really good strong coverage. It is pale on my skin (and I am fair skinned) so I end up using a warmer tinted moisturiser over the top. However, have found myself 'accidentally' outside without extra 'proper' sunscreen and haven't been burnt so from that POV I would recommend.

Horrible

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

I did not notice any moisturising effect at all. It left a cast on the face, feels heavy and like your face can’t move at all, and makes pores and drier areas more visible. I thought it was my skin, but my sister had the same problem. Really disappointing.

Not good for me

This really dried out my skin and left it flaky, red and sensitive.

The best SPF

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

This is the best SPF, it has mineral filters, offers a perfect sheer coverage and is shine proof. I have used this daily for 3 years now.

Not for me

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have suuuuper oily skin and a dry chin. I found this way too drying and uncomfortable for even the oiliest parts of my face. I was itchy all day and it seemed to alter the colour of my foundation. I went super orange. Just not for me I don't think

Make makeup feeling heavy

2 stars out of a maximum of 5

The sunscreen itself immediately after application is looking good but after 2 min is starting to dry out not in a good way, you can feel like your face is not flexible anymore and you have a mask on it (I have combo skin). If you want to apply primer and makeup then it looks too heavy on the skin. It is not peeling, that is nice but I don't like that it is too thick.

The best Moisturizer Ever.

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

This is by far the best moisturizer I've ever tried. I have a combination skin type and I was amazed to see that it can keep my complexion looking matte throughout the day. I love the soft light veil it casts on my skin, like a light beige which evens out my complexion and creates the perfect base to apply my foundation. I do think it will look at bit ashy on darker skin tones if you choose to not wear any foundation on top. I'm saying this because I asked my bf to try it on during our holiday by the sea when he got a tan and his skin was obviously much darker than mine. The moisturizer looked a bit ashy on him...on me it was still fine as I didn't tanned to much. Otherwise I would have worn it only under a foundation.

Another excellent Paula's Choice Mineral Sunscreen

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I've used Paula's Choice products for years because of skin sensitivities. I can't tolerate products containing fragrance or synthetic sunscreen ingredients. I can't be without sun protection regardless of season or whether during daylight. This all-mineral tinted sunscreen is another staple of my skincare supply drawer. I prefer the Defence Essential Glow Mineral Sunscreen because my skin is more dry than normal but if I've hydrated prior to my final sunscreen step, this one is the one I reach for. It never lets me down. I think you'll find it looks better about a half-hour after applying it and more often than not, I don't need other foundation. I use mineral sunscreens every season, every day. Make sure to shake the bottle contents prior to application and be careful when using the product in case too much product ends up in your palm. Start with a small amount.
