Great colour payoff, but super drying!
I think there are better alternatives for a matte lipstick. I do love the 1993 colour but it is super drying on the lips so I will not purchase another shades.

Gains points for pigment, but I found the formula to be SUPER drying and far darker than suggested from swatches - for me it was almost too opaque, but if you're looking for full coverage, it could be perfect for you but I didn't find it an enjoyable experience to wear

Ahh Pat McGrath - says it all really - her make - up from fabulous eye pallettes (you will not be disappointed - despite the priciness) to Lipsticks - they're just the best. This last Lipstick I got is a very pigmented deep red - you have to blot it just once (especially if - like me, you use a Lip Sealant over the top) but then it's good to go - the whole day - it's as light as an angels wing & feels divine on the lips. Just try it - you'll soon be a Pat McGath aficionado..
