If shampoo was a car wash service (bear with us here), this would be the equivalent of a full valet. A once-a-week treatment, its gentle formula boasts apple cider vinegar to help cut through product build-up and neutralise shine-compromising hard water deposits while hydrolysed keratin works to support brittle or heat-weakened tresses. Expect to be left with locks that feels soft, silky and ready for action. Plus, it's infused with the brand's signature Melrose Place fragrance, a harmony of rose, lychee, bergamot, cedarwood and white musk... it's the perfect final flourish.

Thoroughly wet your hair from root to tip with lukewarm water. Squeeze out any excess moisture and lather a coin-sized dollop of Detox Shampoo in your palms. Use your fingers to part the hair and apply the product as close to the scalp as possible. Let it work its magic for one to three minutes before rinsing thoroughly.

This is a great shampoo for removing every speck of buildup in your hair, however I find it can be very drying to my hair which is bleached and naturally dry. If using I do need to be mindful to do a few conditioning treatments after!

Good for infrequent use
Like all Ouai products, smells incredible. Far less stripping than other detox / clarifying shampoos, and good for those days when hair and scalp really needs something extra, but it does still dry out the hair a bit (goes well with a deep conditioner) and for some reason makes it get greasy quicker, probably because scalp is producing more oil to compensate. So I use no more often than once every couple of weeks.
