It comprises deep, beautiful nourishing cleansing oils to engulf and remove any residual make up and dirt, whilst leaving skin supremely nourished. As we’ve come to expect from Ms. Lindstrom, the scent of this is divine – we recommend you savour it by inhaling the oil on your hands before applying. In fact, this smells and feels so luxurious, you’ll be reluctant to wash it off.
This is the ultimate treat for tired, congested skin in need of a little loving. The formula is rich in antioxidants, effortlessly melting away dirt and debris, whilst decongesting pores and leaving skin with a post-facial glow. It contains a cocktail of precious oils including tamanu, camellia, avocado and ylang ylang. And this really does smell fantastic – in terms of mood boosting, it’s akin to a mini aromatherapy session. In terms of indulgent cleansers, this really raises the bar.

Shake bottle and suspend directly upside down, dropping a small pool into palms. Press into dry skin, then wet hands and gently massage. Follow by cocooning a warm, steamy face towel over face and nexk, gently sweeping upwards. Hold, rinse and repeat until skin is soft and cleansed.

I struggle to see how anyone could like this
Do not touch this with a barge pole if you have breakout prone skin. I used two days in a row and ended up with spots all over my face (couldn’t have been anything else as all other skincare items in my routine are tried and tested). It doesn’t emulsify, making it difficult to get off the skin, which means how on earth is it actually cleansing your skin?! It also doesn’t spread well over the skin and smells pretty foul. Avoid!

Horrible
The worst cleansing oil! The smell was horrible and even after a second cleanse with another product, I still can't get rid of the smell!! Didn't remove my make up properly and I didn't have much on either! Definitely would not recommend this product! Such a shame, I love most of May's skin care range!

Not for me
To start, the smell almost made me nauseous. I don’t know what it is about it. I was excited for the scent as it was described woody, which sounded DIVINE! However, it was just awful to me. Aside from the scent, it was too dry to be a cleanser in my opinion and was hard to spread across the skin. When I clothed off gently it left my barrier damaged. It felt like I’d used an intense alkaline foaming cleanser. My fingers dragged across my face and I was shocked as this is an oil and has no pH. 100% agree with Stephanie Nicole - this is not May’s best. ;(

Luxury in a Bottle
I echo what another reviewer said: this cleanser makes you want to cleanse your face 1000 times a day. I use this as a second cleanser in the evening and my morning cleanser. I love everything about this cleanser from the packaging, to the smell, and of course to the efficacy of the product itself. My (very dry) skin feels soft and nourished after using this cleanser. Although it may seem expensive for a cleanser, a little goes a long way so it will last ages.

Luxury Feel Good
I first tried the Pendulum Potion last Christmas and I was instantly in love. The smell, the quality of the oil and the way my skin felt after using it is divine. Whilst waiting for it to be released in the U.K. I tried the Votary cleansing oil but it’s nowhere near as good.

LONG awaited :)
May doesn't release new products willynilly, she takes her time making sure that every micro ingredient works not only to improve your skin function, but also to augment the other ingredients within the formula. The first thing that hits you with Pendulum is May's trademark earthy/herbal/cocoa scent; it's comforting without being cloying and soothes your senses as you steam it into your pores. I use this as a second cleanse (after my Bioessence Jelly Make Up remover). The oil gives good slip for a massage, without being too heavy that it leaves a residue. I steam off with using my Emma Hardie face cloths and the end result is a very clean, balanced and visibly happy complexion. Simply put, Lindstrom gives good skin! ...and too bloody right at this price.

I cannot put into to words how insanely beautiful, delicious, and nourishing this cleansing oil is. From the quality of ingredients to the pleasure of use, beginning to end, you need this in your life! It will make you want to cleanse your face 1000 times a day.
