I ditched my sponge for this
As an avid fan of applying foundation with a sponge, I was hesitant to try a brush. I decided to give it a try because Hourglass never disappoints and oh girl, I’ve officially ditched the sponge. I use this brush with Madara skinonym foundation and it gives prefect coverage just with one layer (vs two when using sponge) but at the same time keeps it natural and blowy but not too thick. Love love love!

Favourite base brush
I know people have a lot to say about how pricey these brushes are, but they definitely excel the appearance and performance of makeup products. Since I’ve got this brush I’ve not really used any of my others. It’s so versatile, I used it for my under eye as a little trial and it did a great job. Fits into the angles of the face and the bristles are very luxury. I wash it with baby shampoo & it’s stayed as good as new.

This is probably the softest brush I own. I usually go red from my other foundation brushes as the bristles can be a bit prickly but not with this one. It’s also on the smaller side so you can use it for other cream products too.

Lives up to the Hype - Unfortunately :-)
I'd seen lots of influencers using this brush and recommending it but I just couldn't commit as it seemed so expensive. I treated myself on my birthday and unfortuantely it really does live up to the hype. It allows you to apply your foundation seamlessly and the brush bristles are super soft, I've had many comments on my complexion recently and can only put it down to the application of my foundation using this brush! I am now looking to purchase more from the Hourgalss brush collection.
