Now available in a deluxe-sized 'midi' of 10ml, this super-charged, silicone-free formulation features 1% retinol (it's potent!), alongside a fruit cocktail of extracts such as passionfruit, apricot, kale and winter cherry (not to mention firming peptides and essential fatty acids)! Promoting skin renewal and boosting collagen production, this intensive treatment minimises visibility of fine lines and dark spots to reveal vibrant, healthy-looking skin. Probably the most wanted skin care range ever, Drunk Elephant is worth the hype – and then some... Founded by Tiffany Masterson who wanted to formulate products without any ‘fillers’, this all-star collection is powered by biocompatible actives – a mix of synthetic and plant-derived extracts – that skin recognises and knows what to do with. And, because of their ingredient-elimination philosophy, you won’t find any of the following ‘Suspicious 6’ – drying alcohols, silicones, SLS, chemical screens, essential oils or fragrances/dyes – so you can ‘reset’ your complexion and help both your skin and your tresses to flourish like never before.

Ideal for all those who're already acquainted with the wonders of retinol (this can trigger irritation and peeling if your skin is sensitive, or if you're new to the retinol realm), Drunk Elephant's game-changing A-Passioni Retinol Cream Midi is the perfect addition to your evening-time routine.
A powerhouse complex, this potent, silicone-free formulation of 1% retinol boasts comforting and nourishing ingredients (passionfruit, apricot, kale, winter cherry extracts, skin-firming peptides and essential fatty acids), to give lazy skin cells a boot up their bottoms! This product means business - promoting skin renewal and boosting collagen production while reducing depth of wrinkles and improving signs of damage - and with continual use, it rejuvenates cells to reveal über vibrant, revitalised skin. Like the rest of the Drunk Elephant range, Tiffany advises that A-Passioni Retinol Cream Midi can be applied and mixed with any other Drunk Elephant products to make your own signature 'smoothie' (and buffer the strength if your face needs to build up its tolerance). Suggested cocktails are to mix 'A-Passioni' with {C-Firma} in the daytime (always followed up with a broad-spectrum SPF to shield from sunshine!), or to combine with {Lala Retro Whipped Cream} at night if your face is reactive or you've never used a retinol before. Proceed with caution if your skin is sensitive - do a patch test to assess your cells' tolerance, then use sparingly to begin with - building up the frequency over the course of several weeks.

Apply a pea-sized amount or less to a clean and dry face. Limit initial use to once or twice a week, gradually increasing frequency to every other night and then finally up to every night (as tolerated). Proceed with caution if you're sensitive or new to retinol - this may induce redness/irritation to begin with and you may incur some flakiness until your skin acclimatises. Avoid using the night before a big event/special occasion (unless you're already a retinol addict)!
Avoid applying to eye area and use a broad spectrum SPF during the day.

Game changer
Amazing stuff, really helps with acne and pigmentation/scarring. Better than AHAs and vit c I’ve tried though everyone is different. Need to let your skin get used to it as advised on the package. Good advice I received for it was once a week for 1 week, twice a week for two weeks etc. Liked the serum but you need to use a lot so for the price unsure if I will reorder. The retinol certainly will though you need such a small amount I think this size will last months!

Worth it
I'm giving 4 stars because I didn't like the B-Hydra serum - it's too sticky and I feel it didn't do much to my skin. The retinol cream, however, is a great find. It's the first retinol product I've used and so far I'm seeing good results. For reference, I'm 28 and while I'm not struggling with many fine lines yet, I do have texture that I wanted to address. I've used the product 2 times - once every 4 days mixed in my face cream as I feel it would be too strong on its own. I've seen dramatic improvement in the texture around my cheekbones and my chin. It does dry out the skin but not that bad that it can't be handled with some face oil and regular moisturizing. The tube is only 10 ml but I feel that it could last me about 3 months if I continue using it once every 4 days. It's good value and lets you test the compatibility of the product with your skin. If all continues to go well, I will purchase the full size.

Good set for first time users of Drunk Elephant!
This set is absolutely perfect for someone wanting to try without paying full price for the full size items first. The A-passioni is a smaller version of the full size but will last me absolutely ages. Been using for around 3 weeks now and it barely looks like I’ve used any. It feels great on the skin but definitely let your skin adjust first before increasing usage; I still only use twice a week max as it can dry the skin out if not used to retinol. However the B-hydra serum doesn’t last 2 minutes in this size I would say I got around 4-5 uses of it using 2 pumps at a time, but that doesn’t take away the fact the serum was lovely and hydrating. Only thing to improve on this is the size of the serum bottle to see results for that product. Overall great set and the retinol is definitely helping my skin texture and acne.

Strong retinol!
I am a fan of this stuff, it does the job and if you are not used to it then you should go easy. This is the closest thing to a silver bullet I've ever got - I don't think everyone's skin loves retinol but mine seems to react extremely well to it and it always leaves my skin looking better when I use it. I love the serum it comes with as well, it takes the edge off and is lovely and soothing. I definitely recommend it!

Amazing product
I love the product, it can be sensitising to your skin if you apply twice a week specially if you have sensitive skin, but I would say it really does work. I would give it a 4 star.

Favorites.
Did order the B-hydra normal size after trying the mini. So hydrating. I have quite dry skin. I'm a beginner to rentinol, and loved this also. No irritations. Definitely ordering this in normal size too.

Hesitant at first...
I was super unsure of this as I’m an oily skin type, and creams don’t really do it for me if I’m honest! But as you’re only using it at night time, I don’t mind it that much! I really like how your skin looks in the morning; renewed and plumper! You need the TINIEST bit, literally a pea size - then smooth it over your skin. If you’re a beginner to retinol, then this is perfect for you to wean your way into it. I use mine 1/2 a week.

Uau
I was SOO afraid to buy this because of the negative reviews... I really wanted to start retinol since I just stopped breastfeeding and I'm 33 with acne scars and some fine lines but my skin is very sensitive and dehydrated because of the chemical peels I have done and the AHAs I use but I had no bad reaction at all, I'm using twice a week yet with caution but so far I love it and my skin looks more even when I wake up! Also love the serum and will order full size !! Still too soon to tell but I'll update this in a few months!!

Really potent and effective
I love the B hydra which I've tried before - but this was my first time trying DE's Retinol. I see a huge difference in my skin, but if you're new to retinol then only mix a tiny tiny drop with a rich moisturiser and only use once a week in the beginning as it's super potent. I use less than half a pea-size amount mixed in with a creme/moisturiser. The small bottle of retinol will last you a really long time if you're new to the game, so it's really good value for money.

amazing!
I have had acne pigmentation for a long time now and I have found that the retinol has definitely cleared and lightened the discoloration. Initially, it slightly irritated my skin but you have to use it in small amounts, roughly once a week then gradually increase its use. My complexion is now so much brighter, smoother and clearer and less texturised!!
