Pillow talk is not made for olive toned skin

1 stars out of a maximum of 5

There’s nothing about this product that I liked. I can’t stand fragrance in any skincare products but I do like my lip products to be fragranced and this isn’t so that was a turn-off but not something that would stop me from buying a product. What will stop me from buying this particular product is the texture, consistency and the colour. I got the shade pillow talk in my Cult goody bag and I was so excited to try it out as I’ve heard so many people rave about it so I was obviously super disappointed when I got to trying it. It’s way too light for an olive skin toned woman like me. I tried using it as a topper but it’s so pigmented that regardless of what lipstick I used below, the corpse-like colour of the lipgloss would show through. Technically that’s a good thing, the fact that it’s so pigmented, but the shade was just not working for me. And let’s not talk about how drying the formula is and what a headache it is to actually get it off your lips.

Tiny product

It's very small. I don't know how they sell this as a full-size product, it looks like a mini.

This is such a stunning colour and formula. Lasts really well considering its a gloss! I would deffo recommend always wearing it with a lip liner to make it bolder. A tad overpriced but hey ho x

I have loved every CT product I've tried so far and found them to be worth the price tag but sadly, this was not the case with this gloss. In terms of colour pay-off, this did very little for me - either due to a lack of pigment in the formula or due to a similarity to my lip colour (I've got the shade Seduction). Either way, it comes out as pretty much clear. As an everyday gloss, it's okay and maybe the more bolder shades have more pigment, but for £19, this was disappointing!

Awful

This is the worst lip gloss I have ever used, my lips are so dry, it feels like treacle when applying and stays like that till it wears off! Wished I had not wasted £19 when £5 is so much better !!!

Expected more

Shade: Pillow Talk Not as pink as it looks in swatches or online photos. Looked like a terracotta-type colour on my lips. Wearable but not at all what I wanted. It has a chemical smell and taste but thankfully it’s not too overpowering. It’s also super thick so far too sticky to layer on top of lipstick. When I wear it alone it lasts until lunchtime on me despite drinking and snacking more than I should! Overall, I think I just expected more as it is so hyped and it was just... OK. Wouldn’t purchase again.

Pillow talk lip gloss.

The colour is beautiful. I’ve got nearly the full collection of PILLOWTALK and it’s all beautiful, the packaging is lovely and it’s clearly great quality. As with most of charlottes stuff, it’s quite small compared to other brands but I don’t mind too much as the colour is so lovely. It Only loses a point from me because it’s quite sticky, if it was slightly less sticky it would’ve been a five out of five. I do wish they would make the products a little bigger however because they are expensive so would be nice to get a little bit more for your money.

Pillow talk

Nice lipgloss that doesn't smell strong which I prefer. It's a lot thicker than I thought though but I don't find it uncomfortable on the lips once it's in place. Pillow talk looks very nice on top of Charlotte tilbury's K.I.S.S.I.N.G Bitch Perfect. They both are basically the same tone so if you don't like a thick lipgloss, I'd recommend the lipstick.

Good everyday gloss

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I got the lip lustre in the shade High Society, which looks much less pigmented than the photo here, but still a very nice everyday lip gloss. It's not too sticky, but I wouldn't say I can't feel its existence. I think it's a little over priced for what it is.
