    • Why it's Cult

Probably the most wanted skin care range ever, Drunk Elephant is worth the hype – and then some... Founded by Tiffany Masterson, who wanted a clean break from toxins and the ‘Suspicious 6’ (essential oils, drying alcohols, silicones, chemical screens, fragrance/dyes and SLSs) this brand has created a whole new category in the beauty space: ‘Clean-Clinical’. Think of this B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum as a cool glass of water for your thirsty skin – it’s enriched with ultra-hydrating vitamin B5 and pineapple ceramides to attract and hold moisture throughout the day for a visibly brightened, plump and even result.

WE'RE SORRY BUT WE CANNOT SHIP DRUNK ELEPHANT TO AUSTRALIA, CANADA, HONG KONG, NEW ZEALAND, PHILIPPINES, SINGAPORE, SOUTH KOREA OR USA.

Drunk Elephant - B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum

Drunk Elephant B-Hydra Intensive Hydration Serum Reviews

    I really like it
I use the Drunk Elephant B-Hydra as a serum under LaLa or Protini and I mix it with C-Firma in the morning (followed by LaLa) - this makes my skin hydrated and glowing. I have normal/dry skin and mixing other DE products with the B-Hydra make my skin absorb the product-mix better! B-Hydra absorbs quickly - I like that.
Love the product - just overpriced
I'm 33 with dry/very dry sensitive skin. I recently switched my skincare to mostly Drunk Elephant products (and a few from Paula's Choice). I have seen significant improvement in dry patches and zero irritation. B-Hydra sinks into the skin immediately and has a relatively thin consistency without any stickiness. Mixes in perfectly with DE C-Firma and Protini. Whilst the product does deliver, £44 for a hydrating serum does feel excessive. It's the least 'exciting' DE product IMO and considering the whole range is expensive, if I had to give up one product, it would be B-hydra. Having said that, I'll probably repurchase when it's on promotion/discount.
    always try in samples firstly
I have a mini version of this serum from Rescue Party Kit, and when I used it firstly, I thought that I will buy it in full-size, but after the second and third application a lot of clogged pores and small pimples occured on my cheeks, and when I tried to use it two weeks later, the effect was the same. So, I totally can't recommend this serum. If you think that you want this serum or any other Drunk Elephant item, please, buy it in minis to understand the effect and save the money!
Glass of icy water for the skin
Exactly what is said, a cold glass of water for the face. I first got B-Hydra in the mini set and didn't repurchase the full size for a while, I started to see my skin become less radiant and had to repurchase straight away, such a great product for my dry skin.
    B-hydra serum
Do you have to use a moisturizer after the serum?
Fave out of all the DE products
At nearly €1 per ml it is expeeeeensive. But it does something remarkable to my skin and I am worth it. It doesn't irritate me and works well with my BodyShop Aloe creams. And I mix them because B-hydra is a humectant, and I need an occlusive to seal in all the moisture. Otherwise its not as useful.
    Overpriced.
Overpriced and over hyped for what it does. I have combination skin and it didn't moisturise much.. I have to wear a stronger moisturiser on top.. Not worth it.
    Decent hydrating serum
I got a 15ml as part of a set and I cocktail it with C-Firma every morning. I'd say it gets the job done but not particularly value for money where there are other brands at better price points with HA serums that give instant hydration. It's a gel texture that absorbs beautifully and leaves no residue. I wouldn't compare this to The Ordinary as the efficacy of this is better. I like the product but with so many options of well-priced HA serums, I wouldn't think this is the best value for money product.
    Not sure...
It has a gel texture that transforms into a water burst and initially it feels very good but after a minute it feels like nothing. A hydrating toner (is&tree ,hada labo, klairs) will hydrate 10000 times better and help the absorption of other products and it's 30 euros cheaper...
    Lovely
This is in a gel formula and the texture of it is so nice. I mix it with the marula oil and it is the best combo. I love this and will definitely buy again.
    Good basic hydrating serum
I quite enjoyed this serum. It works well under makeup or mixed and layered with other products. The texture is like a thicker gel but it absorbs quickly and doesn't leave any tackiness or feeling of your skin being covered. I have quite dry skin so I like the added hydration
Great addition to your regular moisturiser
My skin is acne prone, combination and dehydrated. I’ve been using an expensive clinic B5 serum for sometime. It’s double the price of this for half the amount of product and does the same thing. If anything this is nicer to use as it leaves a cooling effect. Can be used on its own but I like to layer my regular moisturiser over the top day and night. If your looking for hydration without saturation then this is ideal, I’ve now stopped using facial oils as they just never absorb enough to use in the day too.
    impressive
I am on a second purchase already, a light serum which is perfect for day time use. it doesn't aggravate my sensitive skin and absorbs perfectly.
    Love it!
I use it together with my c firma serum in the morning and the Lala retro whipped cream, works great together!
    Pretty good but overhyped
Got the mini of this in one of the bundles and I have to say I do like it for a extra boost of moisture under my normal moisturiser however I don't think it does enough to justify the price.
    Great for oily skin
It's a really good Serum for oily dehydrated skin! I use it to mix in with my C-Firma in the morning a sometimes on its own in the evening for some extra hydration! Love it! Don't clog my pores and sinks right into the skin! Highly recommend!
    Decent and smells good
I'm not sure it does a lot, but for the 50 ml the price is decent. I especially love the soap-bubble smell of it, reminds me of purity ^_^
    Agréable - Pleasant
Bon sérum hydratant, sans plus ***** good moisturizing serum, no more
Know what you are paying for
This is the first Drunk Elephant product I purchased since it (finally) launched in the UK. I have to say it is quite expensive for a simple hydrating serum, but it is so pleasant to use as it does not get sticky like other hyaluronic acid products, so it’s perfect for laying. I would say the hydration effect is medium, so it’s suitable for oily to slightly dry skin types, really dry skin might need something “stronger” or layer other products. I would also suggest using a mist right before applying this, so that you don’t run out of it in a month and the hyaluronic acid can work better. I usually need two pumps of this for the face and neck. Luckily I received an email from Cult Beauty that I’ll get a refund, as DE has come to their senses and decided to decrease their UK prices a little bit, so it makes the price a little more acceptable now.
    The good stuff
Really nice acid, it has no sticky residue like most and leaves skin feeling plump and hydrated! Also mixes in well with other products. 100% recommend.
    First try...bodes well!
I just used this product for the first time last night and have woken up to much happier, better-hydrated skin! It absorbed instantly and left me with a silky base on which to apply the Lala Whipped Cream and my dehydrated skin was instantly soooo much happier. I'll definitely be using this regularly to support my skin as we move into the colder months.
    Unnecessary
This does not really impart much hydration or moisture on its own, you’d have to use a lot of product for it to spread well which means this will run out very quickly. It is much better when mixed in with other drunk elephant serums and moisturisers. Therefore at £52 it’s not worth the money. You’d end up spending at least £110 to get the full benefit. You could buy any other silicone free Hyaluronic Serum at a reasonable price to do the same thing instead.
