Very nice

I like this foundation alot. It has very high coverage, and a little goes a long way. It’s matte and lasts all day (with setting powder). I think its great that the shade range goes from very light to very dark, but its a little hard for me to find something in between. 02 is really light, but 03 is alot darker… I use a slightly darker concealer with my 02. Overall its really great, and I would highly recommend!

Danessa Myricks Beauty Vision Cream Cover

I rarely leave a review. I did not expect to be blown away by this, but I am. It works as a concealer and foundation. I have dry (mature) skin and can use it neat over a primer and as a concealer. It does not oxidise, has a lovely finish, and lasts. I just wish it pumped out less in one go, you need so little that some is wasted. I want to order tons of it so I don't run out!

Amazing product

This is such full coverage which can be sheered out as required. It still manages to look natural which is great. My favourite way to wear it is to mix it with a glowy primer.

SHEER MAGIC

The coverage is five star. Yes, it is drying, but I simply apply a little coconut oil over it with my fingers and bingo! Perfect skin. I think that the other reviewers who say it has no staying power must have extremely oily skin, because the coverage on me lasts forever - I did a ten-hour photoshoot the other day and my face still looked amazing at 2am :)

Loved the full coverage but such a shame about the terrible staying power

I’ve been wanting to change as many of my makeup and personal care toiletries to cruelty-free brands as possible. I’ve also been exploring makeup brands that aren’t the giants - ones owned by women and men of colour, the “off the beaten track” brands. Anyone who knows about Danessa Myricks would have seen the phenomenal editorial shots. She is a genuinely gifted makeup artist and photographer. I never expected to execute my make up on her level. But I was surprised at how difficult it was to find a colour match, then once it was found, work with the product. The coverage is absolutely phenomenal and great for hyperpigmentation. But whether used neat or with a mixing medium (I have oily skin so I use Cozette’s matrix mixing fluid, not oil), with or without primer, with or without setting spray, this simply does not last. It separates and either smudge off on my fingers if I even brush my nose or cracks and dries on other parts of my face! It probably does photograph beautifully when it’s first done, but it didn’t last the day for me and ruined two reusable fabric face masks. I’ll use it for WFH days just to use it up, but I won’t repurchase.

Very drying

I was excited to try this, and also bought the oil to go with it as suggested. Unfortunately it’s awful on my skin. Yes, it’s very full coverage with just a drop, but even when used with the beauty oil it’s very drying on my complexion and not easy to blend. So much so it enhances every pore and highlights lines it didn’t know I had! I’ve tried it with every primer I have, after my full hydrating regime, and also mixed with various oils - nothing helps. A waste of money I’m afraid. In addition, I’m very pale so I bought the lightest shade and it is GHOSTLY - be careful when you select your shade.

Danessa Myricks beauty foundation

Very thick coverage and does not go well with oil serums as slid off my face. Very disappointed considering this looks nothing like the image for it expensive for what it does will stick to my The Ordinary serum from now on.

An amazing find!

This is such a good foundation and I managed to get neutral 03 and 04 which work well mixed together. You have to apply with a sponge or brush but the end result is worth it. Don’t use fingers! it gives the most amazing flawless finish. My skin is combination and prone to dry patches due to dermatitis. This didn’t accentuate my pores and didn’t oxidise during the day. To my surprise, it’s even better mixed with the beauty oil. I’m really glad Cult Beauty stock this brand!

Very Drying

This didn't sit well on my skin. I have combination/dry skin and at first, I tried it over moisturised skin (I used a serum, cream moisturiser and face oil) but it accentuated all my dry patches. I then tried it over a primer and even mixed a drop of squalane oil in with the foundation but after a couple of hours, I could see the foundation had separated and my entire face looked very dry. I really wanted to like this but overall I was very disappointed. Additionally, this is marketed as a full coverage foundation but again it didn't cover what it claims to cover (more medium cover). If you have dry skin, I would not recommend this and instead would recommend the IT cosmetics liquid foundations.

Very nice finish but OLIVE SKINTONES STAY AWAY

I bought TO01 that should be designed to be mixed with your foundation to create a customised olive-toned foundation. Nothing could be further from the truth. The unmixed product looks orange on me. This should be green, not orange. I am very happy that darker shades can find a true match here, but why are we Mediterraneans always neglected? I always have to add blue pigment and I always buy high-end foundations.
