With 0.03% encapsulated retinaldehyde, AKA retinal, the Crystal Retinal 3 Serum (30ml) is your new hard-working hero serum, plumping, softening and firming the look of skin.
A cream-like serum that effortlessly melts into skin, this is your new nighttime treat. Providing the same results as retinol but up to 11 times faster, retinal works to boost the appearance of collagen-rich skin, revealing bouncy and dewy results. Encased in a crystal structure that can be broken down by the skin's natural enzymes, retinal is easily absorbed, allowing the slow release of vitamin A while you sleep. Add hyaluronic acid, vitamin E and glycerin into the prodigious blend, and you have a serum that deeply hydrates, for a healthy-looking, supple complexion.
After cleansing in the evening, massage a small amount across the face, neck and décolletage. Allow to absorb before applying your moisturiser. Use twice a week for the first two weeks, every other night for the next two weeks, then every night. Always wear sunscreen the following morning. Consult a doctor if breastfeeding or pregnant.

Good product
A brilliant formulation, feel I have seen the most results with this product out of any retinol I have tried. However it did break me out when I started using it.

The one retinal I trust
I’ve tried a few retinal serums and always come back to this one. I’ve used ones which have aggravated my skin causing it to burn and flake. This one is gentle enough to use often and to build through the levels. It doesn’t smell offensive. Really pleased with my purchase.

A beginner's option
I'm new to vitamin A and this is the perfect option for beginners. I've just started to use it and I can feel / see the effect; cleaner, smoother and brighter! I also really like Medik8 recommendations of spacing it out and balancing with other products like HA, Vitamin C etc.

Great
I tried so many cheaper vit A serum before and none of them worked, so i thought I treat myself to this one and so far so good. I didn’t have extreme purging and peeling like i did with the other ones I’ve tried, my skin looks a lot brighter and smoother. I’m 26 so I’m using it more as a anti aging preventative measure, however I’m pretty sure that it will help with slowing down the formation of fine lines, wrinkles etc. Well worth the moneyÂ

this is my personal fave retinal - i haven't found it to be irritating in the least, but v effective right away. my skin texture is noticeably improved!Â

This made my skin look smoother and helped with texture, and was non-irritating as well. Only drawback was the price which is too high considering there are so many other retinols that do as good as a job without charging this much

Worth The Money!
I’m a savvy person and I’ve always tried to get my retinols through budget friendly options (at the pharmacy or other brands). Unfortunately, this only resulted in a severely damaged skin barrier because stronger is not always better. I’ve decided to trust Medik8 due to the impressive results I’ve seen on social media and I honestly just wish I had trusted them years ago. I’ve been using it every other day for 3 weeks and my skin looks better than years on prescription retinoids. No more breakouts, post-acne marks controlled and an overall glow like never before. A pea-sized amount every other day will last me 3-4 months easily, but I’m already re-purchasing to have a back-up.Â
