Amazing for Body Hyperpigmentation & Dark Marks

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I saw clear changes after just 2 weeks of use. The toner visibly reduced hyperpigmentation I have on my body and smoothed texture. Literally after 2 weeks of use, I saw some hyperpigmentation marks disappear completely and this one big elevated scar is now level with the rest of my skin in that area. I patch tested it twice before starting to use it. I only use the toner twice a week (and not on consecutive days). The toner is sticky upon application and can take a while (15-30min) to dry/absorb into the skin. Once it does absorb into the skin, the skin is left with a beautiful glow, which resembles a body highlighter without the visible glitter particles/sparkles. Do not use anywhere near broken skin/open scars/open wounds/acne. The toner smells like ginseng and berries (makes sense as ginseng and Tasmanian pepperberry are among the ingredients) for an hour or so before fading. It's a beautiful smell and I would love to check out perfumes that smell like the toner. Unfortunately, after using it for more than 4 months, I've noticed that the toner's effectiveness at lightening hyperpigmentation is decreasing. This decrease in effectiveness could be due to my skin growing insensitive/accustomed to the product and/or due to the intensity of my hyperpigmentation (very dark and been there for a while). The product lasts quite a while (over 3 months) and is cheap. Overall, I love this toner & definitely recommend for people with body hyperpigmentation.

My favourite

This is a great AHA, I have bought several over the years. It's what I used everyday (warning! If you are new to using acids, please do not use everyday at the beginning, it takes time to build tolerance!) It is a large bottle that will last you months, at a reasonable price. It's a great stepping stone to get into a skincare routine! Please read the directions before using, as you may get adverse reactions if used improperly. This product is a chemical exfoliate, be kind to your skin folks! The most important advice I can give... Is to moisturise after use 😊

This product is amazing .... Its in my skincare routine from last one year. I use it once or twice a week and when ever I use it my skin glows and feels so clean. The best part about this product it that I use it to exfoliate my scalp, I use it to exfoliate my underarms, elbows and ankles. It is an excellent product. Its affordable and comes in a good quantity.

Better alternatives out there

I wouldn't recommend it for sensitive skin. It irritated my skin and I had to stop using it. I recommend the Paula's choice 2% exfoliator instead.

This isn’t a miracle product for your armpits if they’re discoloured but it does help lighten them as well as keep odour at bay for a short while

A must have

Glycolic Acid is a very very powerful chemical exfoliant. It is an AHA, & usually found in prescription depigmentation topical medication. Nowadays we get it in OTC too, & from those this one is the most powerful thus the most effective. You should go easy with this though 2-3 times a week should be enough. Test what works as a routine for you but definitely get it & make chemical exfoliation part of your skincare regime. Highly recommend this one. I have spoken in detail about what are peptides & ceramides & actives & what they do on my igtv channel @hajanders & spoken about The Ordinary's products too in length. Do check it out to learn more. Thank You.

Too strong for my skin

Omg I could literally feel the first layer of my skin stripping off after using this. It was so much harsher than I anticipated, had to give it away unfortunately.
