Excellent primer, but very yellowish and pigmented

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

I have mixed feelings about this primer. It took forever to get the product to appear on the applicator, and I'm not super into the applicator itself from a hygiene standpoint. It's not really an option to put the product on your finger first either, because you can't transfer it from the pen to your fnger without either rubbing it on your finger or pushing out too much product. The colour has a warm, yellowy hue that looks really weird on my pale skin, and it's quite opaque, so unless it matches your skin perfectly, you must be careful not to get it anywhere that's not getting covered with eyeshadow. All of that being said, the product is great. I have some issues with one half of my left eyelid getting oily and scaring all my eyeshadow away within an hour after application, but the issue isn't persistent - sometimes I struggle with it for days, sometimes I go a month without experiencing it. Due to the nature of the issue, I cannot say for sure that I would have experienced this if I'd used a different primer during the time I've used this one, but what I can say, is that I've experienced the problem with both the UD and Morphe primers, but not with this one. Would I recommend it? Sure, if you need a very good primer and always use a neutral shade on your eyelid before you add all the fancy stuff, this one will make you happy!

Under eye concealer? For me , yes!

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

I tried this over a smear of Becca under eye brightener and what do you know, it worked brilliantly. I would be lost without this. For some reason, the shade is perfect for the discolouration under my eyes even though I have pale skin. I don't need to set it with powder and it doesn't budge. If my eyes get very dry then I pat a tiny amount of regular eye cream on top and all is good again.

Eyeshadow GLUE

5 stars out of a maximum of 5

This is a good base for the eyes before you add any shadow. It subtly covers eyelid veins that seem to get more prominent with age making my whole eye area look a bit 'Fester from the Adams Family'. Where this primer really comes into its own is its ability to hold onto eyeshadow pigment. I've done extensive tests using it on just one eye and it makes my eyeshadow look last - not just looking ok but actually as it looked last check in the mirror before leaving the house - until I remove my make up at night. It's not sexy, it's reliable, which is the new sexy.

Pale skins beware!

4 stars out of a maximum of 5

The texture is OK but I wouldn't recommend this for very pale skin - it looks very orange on me! I'm managing to make it work by blending it with a couple of other shades of concealer, but probably won't repurchase.

Great

Texture, color are perfect and seem to last all the day long. My very sensitive skin appreciates it. I just regret the lack of smoothness of the tip. (That's why I gave 4 stars and not 5 )
