Expensive but works
4This product probably would have scored higher if I had the commitment to spend this much money almost monthly! I did notice an improvement in my skin but you have to be ready to commit to the price!Â

can't believe I'm going to say this...
5unfortunately (for my pocket...) the hype is somewhat real with this one. I got one (the 15ml version) in last year's advent calendar - I tried it for a month & I purchased 2 others (still, the 15 ml version) in January. it pains me to admit how good this is, because it's incredibly expensive. not in a million years would I think any skincare is worth this much money, but somehow I got to the conclusion that I'm probably gonna buy this again... as most other reviewers have said, I've experienced absolutely no irritation with this. the skin looks amazing even after the first few uses, and I think I noticed improvement of some fine lines & wrinkles within the first few weeks... when usually, with retinoids, while they are very effective, it can take months of consistent use to notice the first effects, and years of (continued) consistent use to maintain those effects. if you can afford it, splurge (get it during sales if you can). I've tried other uber-expensive skincare (ie.: the Augustinus Baders, the Barbara Sturms & the La Mers of the world...) - just because they were included in goody bags / advent calendars / as complementary gifts with other orders, but they are nothing / do nothing compared to this. I do have other retinoids in my routine (been using them for years), so that I can use this 2-3 times a week (or when my skin feels a bit more sensitive / irritated, as - AGAIN - I experience absolutely no irritation from this whatsoever). this truly feels like a clinical-grade treatment, but within such a formulation that takes great care of your skin. P.S.: I don't usually care for fancy packaging (I just need it to be appropriate for the product, easy to use, preferably recyclable or that can be repurposed) but for those who do enjoy the experience of luxurious packaging, you'll love this (quite appropriately packaged considering the price point).
