I have not used this brand in years and years, probably over 10 years, so when I saw this product I thought hey why not. I was looking for a new moisturiser anyway. Now this product is the exact opposite of my HG perfect moisturiser- the Dr Barbara Sturm Face Cream Light. But - I was hopeful it would be good as a night moisturiser at least? It is different to any moisturiser I have used before- goes on as a white typical ‘runny’ cream, but after seconds transforms into a thick oil on your face. Now, this would be great for someone with really dry winter skin. However for me on my combination skin it just sat so heavy on my skin, as an oil. And I am not a fan of heavy products, creams or oils. My skin is combination- normal with no real issues, so maybe it’s just too ‘normal’ and skin that needs that intense moisture would benefit more. My freshly washed hair kept constantly sticking to my face and neck (I used it on my neck and to be honest it’s actually great there very soothing and a place that intense oil moisture was useful!) I had to eventually tie my hair back as this product doesn’t seem to sink in at all. It just sits there. I eventually after 20 min rubbed it in again with clean dry hands and it went into my skin a little more, but I never at any point tonight felt like it had fully sunk in. I cannot imagine using this in the daytime and for sure I cannot see how make up could apply well on a thick oily type base. And it pains me to say this, as this product is so so expensive, but I will now be using it solely for my neck , hands and feet as a night treatment. I think there it could work miracles !!
