Founded in Parma in 1983 by the Bolatti family, Davines evolved from a research laboratory for high-end hair care into its very-own line of original, sustainable and mindful formulas. Bringing some Italian style to your shower, this quirkily cool range of cleansers, conditioners, treatments and masks will take you on a trip to hair care heaven. Just when we thought we couldn't love the range more, they've now released a line of shampoo bars: plastic-free alternatives that are great for gently cleansing an array of hair types.
Forget everything you know about shampoo bars... An extension of their fan-favourite shampoo line, Davines' Solid Shampoo Bars boast a solid texture that develops into a rich creamy foam that cleanses without stripping your strands. Suited to all hair types, the DEDE Naked Shampoo Bar is enriched with red celery extract to delicately refresh as it promotes a soft, silky finish.
Compact like a soap bar, these salon-quality shampoo bars are packaged in 100% recyclable paper (you're helping to cut down single-use plastics!) and boast the same results that you would see from using their traditional shampoos. Infused with strand-loving actives from Slow Food Presidia farms (an organisation that safeguards biodiversity in Italy), each shampoo contains up to 97.4% of highly biodegradable ingredients — so after rinsing, most of them degrade within 28 days!
Wet the shampoo bar with water, rub it between hands to create a lather and apply it to wet hair. Rinse thoroughly and repeat if necessary. Proceed with a conditioner, if desired. Rinse thoroughly in case of eye contact.

Great shampoo bar
This is great - works well and feels like proper shampoo when lathered up. Using the Dede conditioner after gives me lovely hair (mine is thick). Useful for travel and easily recyclable packaging!Â

Lathers up nicely
This shampoo bar is brilliant. I have medium length hair with blonde highlights and a naturally greasy head. I wash my hair everyday. This bar is gentle but cleanses thoroughly and leaves my hair feeling soft. I’m not mad keen on the smell but I can only smell it whilst using it, not when my hair is dry. Looks like it will last a long time too. Ideal to take camping!
