The brainchild of the architect-turned-browchitect Anastasia Soare, Anastasia Beverly Hills started out with a stand-out range of brow-enhancing pencils, tools and treatments that sent the beauty world into a frenzy. The brand has since been filling up our make up bags with game-changing formulas including the Brow Definer Deluxe (0.1g), an all-in-one triangular-tipped retractable pencil to define, detail and fill in your arches.
The Brow Definer Deluxe (0.1g) from Anastasia Beverly Hills is the ultimate addition to your eyebrow arsenal.
It has an innovative, triangular nib developed to be used three ways: the pointed tip is perfect for achieving the desired shape before the angled wedge is used to create hairs and fill-in any gaps for instant brow-enhancement. It's ideal for bestowing your arches with ultra-fine natural hairlike strokes that give you the desired 'oomph' without looking drawn on. Just brush through with the spoolie end once you're finished to distribute colour evenly and soften any too-harsh lines.
Begin by exposing only a small bit of product (about 2-3 millimetres); this allows for maximum control of the pencil and prevents overextension when applying the product. Remember all ABH products are highly pigmented, so little pressure is required.
Start by defining the brow shape. Comb the hairs upward with the spoolie. Then, using the flat side of the pencil tip, outline the bottom of the brow from arch to tail.
Next, comb the hairs downward and outline the top of the brow from arch to tail with the flat side. Comb the hairs back in place and fill in the brow from arch to tail using the medium side of the tip.
Next, detail the front of the brow by creating hairlike strokes using the fine tip. Starting at the base of the front of the brow, press the tip down and pull up in the direction of the hair's natural growth. Use this technique in areas where there is empty space. Continuously blend throughout.
