3This perfume has a very good base and intention, but unfortunately is extremely subtle -- I was expecting something more intense especially from the Fireplace concept -- quite disappointed, the White Company has a house fragrance called Fireside which in my opinion is way more superior than this perfume; and that is much cheaper too.. really wanted to love this.

Smoke and Fire
4I'm a big fan of Margiela perfume and also love really heavy scents. This smells fantastic, but it is just a tad too authentic for me. It really does smell just like an open fire. The first time I wore it we were going out for dinner. I came downstairs and my husband was frantically checking the kitchen, all the rooms etc. He asked me what was burning? I have to say this diminished my attraction to the perfume. I gave it to my daughter (who didn't mind smelling like a fireplace!) and bought myself a new bottle of Jazz Club instead.

Perfection
5This is my favourite perfume of all time. I grew up camping a lot, so wood smoke is a very nostalgic scent for me. This hits just the right notes, with strong wood smoke and undercurrents of cedar. It's such a comforting scent that when I'm stressed or can't sleep, I'll spritz a little bit on my chest and pillow.

Avoid if you don’t like sweeter scents/vanilla
3I bought this because I prefer gender neutral scents that don’t lean too sweet or floral and from the reviews and description, I thought it would be more woody/musky. When it arrived I was surprised that it smells VERY vanilla-y and sweet. It took me a while to get used to the scent but now I do wear it every day. It’s subtle so isn’t too cloying and it’s grown on me. I would describe it as a grown up bath and body works vanilla bean spray. Also, it was almost £50 for the 30ml bottle so I’m not about to waste it lmao.

The most gorgeous of scents
5This is so gorgeous and luxurious! My favourite scent that is forever garnering compliments and questions. Amazing staying power so although on the pricier side, it’s definitely worth it for what you get!
