Good for cleaning product build-up
4I have been feeling that over my scalp there was a product buildup and I have a bit of dandruff problem too. This scrub looks like doing the job of cleaning the scalp and I liked the fresh feeling after using it.Â

5This hair scrub is incredible. It really gets in there and removes any build up of dry scalp and creates a perfect canvas for the rest of my hair products. I wash my hair once a week to stop it becoming too dry and I suffer from chronic pain. Before I used this I was just managing to get to my weekly hair routine before it started getting dirty but since I started using this I can get to the end of the week and sometimes longer depending on my pain level. HG for me

I am blown away by the results!
5I must admit, this is the first time that I have ever used a scalp scrub and I am annoyed that I didn’t start sooner. I have a really dry scalp that is prone to build-up and itchiness. My hair also always seems to become ‘greasy’ very quickly. Enter this saviour!! It is quite a dry formula, so I don’t like the way it applies, however, the results help me to forget. I have no more build up and the itchiness I used to experience is little to none. The most noticeable effect and the one that makes me the happiest is that my hair can last around 4 days after washing before getting extremely ‘greasy’ – usually, it would start to be ‘greasy’ 1/2 days later. This will be a regular in my haircare collection!!

5This is fantastic for a dry, itchy scalp. There's chemical and manual exfoliation, so it really leaves your scalp feeling clean. The granules are very fine (compared to other salt/sugar hair scrubs), so can take a couple of shampoos to rinse out, but I much prefer exfoliating with the smaller grains - it feels less rough and is easier to get full coverage. I use this once a week, and definitely see a difference in my hair, in terms of frizz

3I’m still looking for that perfect scalp scrub. Some granules are too fine, some are too chunky and I’m looking for one that is just right. I have really thick hair and I find scalp scrubs difficult because they rarely cover your whole scalp and you need to use a lot of product to feel satisfied afterwards. On certain areas, I did find this really clarifying and great for targeting product build up. However so much of this fine scrub sticks to my hair rather than touching my scalp so I felt like a lot of it was wasted. I think if you have fine hair then this would be a dream.

Makes Scalp-Care easier
5A lot of scalp products I have tried is an in-shower product which I always end up forgetting to use. However, this product helps me with my pre-shampoo care. I don't wash my hair that often at all, so the build-up of various nasties on my scalp is definite, this really helped my scalp feel clean without feeling dry or itchy. Would recommend it for sure!

5Since medicated dandruff shampoo has been really drying on my thick curly hair, I wanted to try something new and I am very happy with this. It removes unsightly scales gently, and my scalp and hair feel ultra clean but not dry; hydrated but not oily, and the effects are cumulative. I've been using it for three weeks twice a week and my scalp is in better shape. Very easy and pleasant to use. I will repurchase.

Leaves your scalp feeling super clean!
5I really like the Drunk Elephant shampoo and conditioner so I was really excited to give this a go too! I put a generous amount on my scalp for around 10 minutes before washing and it leaves my scalp feeling soo fresh and clean every time I use it! I also notice I have so much more volume at my root the day after I use this which I wasn't expecting! If you are somebody that uses a lot of dry shampoo throughout the week and want something to really break down dead skin cells/ product build-up then I would definitely recommend giving this a go!
