Brilliant Product

I love this. I especially love the more liquid texture of this ‘mix yourself’ version. It sometimes feels a little ‘sticky’ on its own but when mixed with B-Hydra this completely disappears. Another must have product for me.

Okay but wouldn’t repurchase

I didn’t love this serum. It was very watery, whilst also making my skin oily abs smelled dreadful. It make a small difference to my skin after a week or two but I couldn’t continue to use it due to having naturally oily skin which was made worse by this serum. I preferred the eye cream with vitamin c but I wouldn’t repurchase this serum.

This product has been on my radar for the longest time, and I can safely say it lives up to the hype. My old VitC serum had a lower concentration, so naturally I felt some tingling when I upgraded, but nothing too bad, and it faded quickly. I still feel a little sensitive when I use it around my period, but I either stop using for a couple of days, or mix with the B-Hydra, and it goes back to normal. Overall it's exactly what I've been looking for in a vitamin C product. I suspect it'll be on my beauty kit for a while

Absolutely love the new formula!

I have always loved the drunk elephant  c-firma and it was one of my go-to serums… unfortunately I noticed by the time it arrived it was often already yellow or even orange (due to oxidation) and switched brands… I have since switched back as the new formula stays fresher for longer and really packs a potent punch for brightening my complexion and smoothing lines and wrinkles.

not for mature combination skin

Buying this was a very expensive mistake. I've been using PC's C15 Booster for years. I really like the product but was never a fan of the dropper packaging, which is why I wanted to switch to DE's C-Firma, which has similar ingredients. I loved C-Firma's airless pump and also mixing the serum fresh and delaying the inevitable oxidizing. However, my skin didn't like C-Firma at all. The serum never sank in or dried down but remained very tacky and what's even worse gave my skin that puffy, spongy look that can happen when mature combi-skin with enlarged pores is confronted with certain face oils or badly formulated moisturizers. It looked just awful. When I tried to wear it under makeup, with a layer of SPF between serum and foundation, it looked even worse and made my foundation melt away within a couple of hours (my foundation normally last for the whole working day and is completely unaffected by the C15 Booster). I suspect it's the Marula Oil in C-Firma that just sits on top of my skin and dissolves my foundation. I wish there was a version without it. I don't know anyone with dry skin to gift this to, so will have to bin it. I've just ordered a new C15 Booster and might write to PC and suggest an airless pump bottle as an improvement. This was the first DE product I've tried, I will avoid the brand in future. It's expensive and almost everything contains that wretched Marula Oil.

Fresh vitamin C

I have been using this serum for years and it has both preventative and immediate results. The new formula is even better - the color of the serum is still clear by the time I finish the bottle (no oxidation) and a small dose of the light-weight formula spreads easily and therefore the product lasts longer.  Stinging is a part of an acid based vitamin c product and even I, as experience user, feel it more on sensitive skin days. The ingredients are amazing and potent - and same as with Retinol, do your research on how to use it correctly!

Better than the old formula in my opinion! Can’t live without this serum + the retinol from DE

Not a fan of the consistency as very watery and is not like a serum at all, would try another serum before buying again

This is the kind of vitamin c serum that you know will work from a formulation stand point, then you use it and it does exactly that. I’ve had it for roughly a month now and I can finally say I found the perfect vitamin c serum. Of course it’s cruelty free and vegan friendly (the previous version wasn’t hence I never used it). It’s not tacky at all and doesn’t irritate my skin, I can use it on my eye lids even though it’s pure ascorbic acid and not a derivative. So happy with this. 10/10 would recommend
