Best retinol
5For me this is the best retinol, doesn't irritate me, last long time, good quality. Drunk elephant is consistently good.

Chemical burns
1I started experiencing chemical burns on my face and peeling of the skin. I immediately cut out all my skincare unsure of what could have caused it. I then reintroduced each product individually with my daily moisturiser. When I introduced this retinol product, with just my daily moisturiser, over one occasion, I then experienced the chemical burns again. I’ve never had this problem with any other retinol product and avoid using retinol with any other highly reactive products i.e vitamin c or salicylic acids. I don’t tend to have sensitive skin and have used a wide range of skincare products without experiencing a reaction. I unfortunately wouldn't take my chances with this product. It took a little over a week to fully recover and even then I've re cut out some of my usual skincare items until my skin barrier fully recovers. There are plenty of retinols that have worked for me and caused no issues and for a cheaper price. Some examples are the inky list retinol and pixi retinol tonic.Â

An essential skincare item
5I have been using Drunk Elephant products for two years now and there is no comparison to anything else I have tried. This retinol is a beautiful product where you only need a tiny amount to make all the difference, without it I experience a lot more breakouts and blemishes.

High hopes
5So far so good. Previously I always used oil based retinols, like the Ordinary's, and I wanted to try a cream finally. The cream is pleasant feeling, and I had no irritation. I have been using it only for a few weeks, and retinol need much more time to make serious results, but so far I love it, and I have high hopes.

Good retinol
4I like this product, and notice that my skin looks healthier with regular use. I use it every other night and always alongside hydrating serums and a rich moisturiser, and I find it doesn’t irritate my sensitive skin.Â

Good quality retinol
4This is a good quality retinol cream for those who are not complete beginners, but they are still not ready for Retin A or Tretinoin. It is very important to start to use it slowly. Not every day and a very small amount. I started with two times a week for four weeks, than I went on to three times a week, than I went on every other day. So, it is important to have patience with this one just like any other retinol cream as well. For some reason, this one really suits me.

Potent!
4As it says in the description, this one’s potent. I wouldn’t recommend this to a retinol beginner. Even for seasoned users of gentler retinols, i would advise an incremental approach. During my first two consecutive nights of using this, i woke up feeling very sensitive and had to slather on moisturisers and oils and sunscreens! Probably user error. But once my skin got the hang of it, it worked wonders!

Good retinol
5This is definitely the only retinol product I've bought that I feel like I can see a real difference when I stop using it - I hope it's never discontinued!
