bought for daughter
5Only a mom can buy blemish treatment as a gift and get away with it!! Purchased for my daughter in her 20's as suffers from cyclic and stress-related breakouts. She was sceptical of oil but listens to her mom - sometimes! Within 48 hrs there were a massive difference - angry, slightly picked spots almost disappeared. Thank you, Votary and Cult Beauty!

Spot on
5This is the nicest spot treatment I’ve ever used. I had a sample. I used a cotton bud to apply I wanted to see how many uses I could get and it went far! If your purse allows it this is a hidden gem. It treats the spot but cares for the skin around it. I’m sold. It smells a little tea tree ish. Which I’m fine with. It’s a high quality spot treatment. I’m 40+ and I use it on my pre menopausal acne and my skin is combination.

So-so
2Unfortunately this oil is just 'meh' for me. I don't find it makes my spots any worse but it certainly doesn't help them. I have found simpler and much less expensive salicylic acid product much more effective.

4I really like this for upcoming blemishes. It works amazing on those, it’s not a miracleworker for already out there blemishes. Love that it’s not drying and I don’t have to be scared it being on my skin like some other drying treatments.

The best spot treatment I have used.
5This is a fab product. For years growing up with acne, you get constantly told to 'dry out' spots with various acidic washes and lotions. In the end, you get more spots because you've dried out the other areas of your skin anyway! This is a solution to the 'dry' spot treatments of my teenage years. The salicylic acid works to eliminate the spot, but the tamanu oil replenishes and protects the skin around the blemish from dryness and soreness. I have gently pressed this onto blemishes directly but have also patted a few drops into my whole face on occasion in the evening as a facial oil as it works so well!

Game-changer
5Acne and blemishes have been a daily struggle the last couple of years, adult acne as they call it. I’ve been loyal to the Origins Super Spot Remover for years and years now, but compared with this Votary Oil, it takes it to the next level. I notice a real difference the morning after having applied it the night before, the spot has visibly diminished without the horrible dry patches. It clears the spot so beautifully, it’s mind blowing. I could never imagine myself without this ever again - unless I can call myself 100% acne-free one day ...

4I find this product good for my skin. It doesn't dry my spots and helps them to cure faster. The smell is really lovely!

Acne less red
5My daughter has just started using this acne treatment and has noticed within a few days the spots are less red and noticeable. Early days but this product looks promising. Great believer myself in oils so I hope she will try the other products in this range to help her skin since nothing else has worked.
