5I bought this because I liked the idea of using this both as a balm and a gloss instead of regular lip gloss, which I feel can dry out my lips sometimes. The fact that I'm protecting my lips from the sun at the same time is great as well. I have the clear/shimmer version (though I didn't really notice any shimmer?), and it works well on its own or blended with some lip liner (haven't tried it with lipstick yet). It is a little bit sticky/oily, which feels familiar if you've ever used any other lanolin based lip product. My lips stay moisturised for quite a few hours, though for *really* long lasting comfort I prefer something containing petrolatum/Vaseline (but the Laneige Lip Sleeping Mask works from time to time as well). It has a sweet and natural vanilla scent at first that vanishes very quickly, and it doesn't taste of anything at all.

Ok, but nothing special
3I also had high hopes for this, but considering the price point, I'm a bit disappointed. I loved the idea it would be like a lip gloss with SPF and a nice colour, got one in the shade peach, but it's nearly colourless. Doesn't taste like anything, though, unlike some reviews claim. Also a bit too shiny. I'm gonna use it, because of high SPF, but probably won't repurchase.

Obsessed
5Love this lip balm! It’s super hydrating, has excellent sun protection, not sticky, smells delicious and there’s no weird taste at all. I don’t think you’re supposed to lick your lips when using any lip products anyway!

Cute, but the taste..
3I got it in peach, and it's a bit more red than orange than I expected, but it's still cute. The taste, however is horrible. If you bit your nails as a kid you might remember the taste of that anti-nail-biting nail polish - bitter and medicinal.

Not for me
2I was really exited to receive this product when it arrived as it had been out of stock for a while and i had only seen good reviews.unfortunately it did not live up to the high expectation i had for it i just found that it tasted like sunscreen! i could not get used to the taste on my lips, i also found the rose to be quite purple in colour for my lips so not something i would wear to the beach maybe i would have preferred the nude. i have to say even though i couldn't tolerate the taste it did give a nice gloss and really liked that it wasn't sticky & obviously spf 50 is a bonus!!

Hydrating sun protection - peach
5It is difficult to find 50 SPF lip products, so I was very happy to find this one. It goes on like a lip gloss, and you can either wear a bit for the protection only, or add more for a glossier effect. My lips were a bit chapped when I received the balm a couple of days ago, and it did help with re-hydrating them. Peach looks clear on my lips, and I quite like that, but if you'd like a bit of a tint, maybe other colours are more pigmented. It does have a slight sweet fragrance. I prefer my products fragrance free, but this is ok.

Impressive sun protection
5I have been wanting to get my hands on these for ages so I ordered the peach and the rose the minute I saw them for sale on Cult Beauty. I spend a lot of time outdoors so I was mainly after the sun protection with a little tint of colour. After using them for a few days - my lips are super soft! These balms keep your lips soft and well moisturised all day and there is no nasty taste. They don’t feel sticky either! The rose one leaves a delicate wash of colour on your lips whereas the peach one is almost colourless with a very subtle hint of peach after a few applications. All in all, I love these and hope CB keep these well-stocked as I think the rose will become an everyday staple of mine.

Fantastic
5Feels so buttery on, gives a subtle tint and beautiful shine, and my lips are left soft for ages after application. A big pro for me is that despite smelling delicious, there is no weird taste at all which is what usually puts me off of products like this. That combined with the fact that there is also sun protection in this formula is super impressive and I'll no doubt be using this throughout the summer.
