Your skin will thank you
5I am with the camp that thinks this smells delicious; like a decadent dessert, and I have to resist the urge to taste it. I have not found that it 'pulls' my skin when used dry; I use natural not chemical-laden makeup, so perhaps this make a difference. I have used this as a cleanser and found that it is very effective. It leaves my skin baby soft, reduces red blotchiness and generally calms my skin. I have used it on its own and in conjunction with (sample) Youth Dew as well as Problem Solver and Clean Dirt. I have found these products do what they claim, and as they contain natural ingredients I am very pleased with the results. I do, however, agree they are extremely overpriced. I can foresee a re-purchase of this to use as a cleanser and mask.

Nice but don't like the smell.
3I'm not a huge fan of the smell, I can't smell chocolate in this like one reviewer said. It seems to be quite a good face mask but is too expensive for me. Seems drying for my skin. Have given it to my 17 year old daughter to use. She loves it.

Another good product by May Lindstrom
5Honey Mud is a amazingly good cleanser as well as a masque. My skin is gloriously clean, soft and hydrated. Use it properly and your skin with thank you.

Hideous cleanser, mediocre at best mask
1Terrible cleanser - removed the grand total of no makeup from my face, just smeared it around. It's a better face mask, by which I mean a mediocre at best face mask. But if you want a face mask, then buy an actual face mask, not this. Confused and disappointed as this is so expensive!

New favorite treat
5My favourite from the May Lindstrom line. First off, the smell. Just like baileys cream with orange! Yummy! As with anything this expensive and with ingredients this pure, I don't use this as a first cleanse. And neither will this foam, but it does emulsify. Instead it's a good cleanser come mask after all your makeup is off. I keep it on for 30-45 mins. Sometimes I start with Clean dirt to get a good scrub (and no, that one is not a cleanser either), and then apply this on top of that as a mask. Don't apply a thick layer. Would prefer using less and mask more often. Hooked and will repurchase.

Best Product EVER!
5I love this soooooo much. Since I've been using this my face has turned from being dehydrated with spots to flawless. Due to the price I originally though I would use once a week, but I use this every night and it's worth the cost for the best complexion I've ever had.

Great cleanser
5I'd like to defend this cleanser. I've been using it for about 3 weeks now, along with other May Lindstrom products, and absolutely love it. Unlike other reviewers, I have had no problem with its texture. It needs the tiniest bit of water added to it when it is on your face, and I mean a couple of drops, and does feel lovely and silky. Washes off completely clean. I have also used it as a mask, in which case you just have to apply more if it than you would when using as a cleanser. Fantastic stuff.

Great Mask! What Cleanser??
5I threw away the paper case so I don't know whether it should be used on dry or moist skin (it doesn't say on the container, bummer) but the texture is so creamy that it doesn't stay on the skin and glides off. So I use it as a MASK on dry skin once a week and I LOVE IT! It brings my confused combination skin back to it's natural basics, restores its balance and leaves it nicely soft plumped and clean.

Nice Mask, Terrible Cleanser
3I agree with many of the other reviews. This is a lovely mask but a terrible cleanser. There are many other products on the market that do a better job though so save your money and don't buy this for cleansing!

Love/Hate kind of thing...
5The first time I was introduced to MLS Honey Mud I thought, "What is this horrible looking thing??? And it's so sticky, how am I supposed to use this?". After the initial shock, I played around a bit and discovered that the Honey mud is excellent as a mask. However, I do love using it every other morning as a cleanser. I remove a pea size amount and mix it with a toner or grape/rose water until it reaches a rather fluid consistency. Then just let it sit for a few minutes while I brush my teeth... Don't think it's a good PM cleanser but as a morning one, it's fantastic! I love it!
