Dark Rum

Really like this candle, but the throw is weird. Sometimes I feel I can't smell it very well but then when I go out of the room and come back in it's clearly there. Really enjoyable sweet, boozy fragrance. Nice solid jar as well.

Love the scent but...

Was pleasantly surprised when I got my first whiff of the candle when I received my package. It's a sweet fragrance (but not overly sweet!), with ripe plum and a hint of vanilla. Adds a touch of class to the space you are in and I personally have not smelled this scent in other brands. However, I found that mine emitted quite a bit of black smoke, unless I trimmed the wick down to a very short stub. If the wick was too short though, the candle would not burn very well... so it's quite a headache to strike that perfect balance. For that reason, I will not be repurchasing this.

Strong and Simple

It's not the spicy and welcoming scent I was expecting, but a sweet, clean smell that filled the room before I'd even lit it. It reminds me of fresh tobacco, dish soap, and maybe just a little bit of rum. I love the minimalism of Malin & Goetz and this is no exception, now I just need to try the other scents!

Very disappointed with this candle. It’s smells quite nice, although not of rum but also you can hardly smell it around the room. I have a budget supermarket candle which smelt stronger. Will not be repurchasing and it is definitely not worth £42.00.

Will never not be my favourite

Undoubtedly one of my favorite scents and I will not, not have one with me. It is the best combination of sweet and smokey without being heavy or overpowering. With a sweet touch of the rum mixed with the roughness of the leather trust me you will be obsessed. Makes a great gift for both male and female or for that great Sunday afternoon vibe. Utterly the best.

This is my new go to candle!! Fills a whole room with a warm, sweet fragrance without being too over powering. I love the packaging of this candle also as it is very simple and goes with any room decor. It burns very slowly and evenly and does not let off any black smoke which is a bonus. I will 100% be purchasing the other fragrances to give a go!
