Best concealer ever

This is (literally) the only makeup product I use. A tiny, tiny dab where needed lasts all day. It layers perfectly if I need to cover a blemish. A little goes a very long way! The colour match is very good for me (SX03). A small complaint is that the colour match to other products in the same range is not very clear.

I bought this last year an I’m only reviewing it now. Pros: A little goes a very long way. I have fair skin but very dark bags - tried everything on the market am found this does cover them but so do cheaper ones- I got the lightest shade - always best to go one step lighter - many may disagree with me but lighter, no residue or Cakey-ness = brighter. Cons: I found it doesn’t last all day - I work 8-4 and I only wear this box isn’t hygienic at all. I paid £40+ with delivery for £40 it should STAY ON LONGER, better container. I only think it works well for me because I chose lighter shade so my eyes look bright. I only use it under my eyes that’s why it lasts so long.

Too thick

I'm a bit disappointed because referring to the description it says that it's a light formula makeup but it's not true. This makeup has such a thick texture that makes my skin look overdone and cakey. As a concealer it's perfect and makes a full coverage . I have never had such a good concealer for my under eyes. However, I wouldn't suggest using it for clear skin as it's too thick and is unnecessary to have such a huge covering on your skin.

AMAZING

I love this concealer. It covers my dark circles away like a dream! A tiny bit goes a long way. For reference I have the shade SX11 and I'm usually an NC42-NC44 in Mac.

Holy grail

This concealer is my holy grail. Honestly I stopped using it for 2 weeks after I've been using the product for about 3 years and I've never missed anything so much in my life!!! If you suffer with dark under eyes this concealer is amazing and the pot lasts for a good 8-9 months. AMAZING.

Amazing concealer for pigmentation and severe dark circles

I have this product in the shade sx08. I highly recommend this product to use as a concealer.

Not good

Reading all the positive reviews I really thought I'd like this product, but it disappointed me. It's hard to get used to it being such a thick consistency. I was recommended Kevyn Aucoin's foundation brush to go with this foundation, which to be honest I wasn't impressed with either. It did not spread good whatsoever and I moisturised my skin quite well before using. Even with a moisturiser or primer I would not suggest anyone with dry skin use this product. It clings to dry patches quickly and made me look tacky and cakey. Definitely not for me.

Using for years

This stuff just lasts forever. I seriously think the pot will dry up before I use it all--definitely a better deal than drugstore/high street makeup. I use it as concealer/highlighter. I have three shades and none of them look bad or unnatural. I just keep using this--I'm not really tempted to try any other highlighter. Never gets cakey

Over hyped

That awful feeling when you buy into the hype and the product does nothing but disappoint. Let's start with the colour choices. Poor. I picked SX11 based on the description and research; it is this weird saffron colour. Looking at SX12 that looks like it would give me a awful fake tan appearance. I have Asian/Middle eastern/Latin medium to tan olive skin type. The product is thick, gloopy and lacks wearability. I want to 100% agree with another reviewer on here about how uncomfortable it feels to wear and in fact covers very little! I have a feeling it's better for oily skin type as it seems to have a blotting effect..disastrous for normal to dry skin like mine. I will give this one more chance mixed with my face oil to break down the thick, tacky consistency and see if it applies better. Wish I'd never bought.

If you're undecided give it a go

So I was recommended this by a friend. I was determined to try it as I'm bit of a make up fanatic...Bobbi Brown, Charlotte Tilbury to Mac - you name it i've tried it. Have to say I am pleased. It really is a small pot and you kind of think, is this really worth it.. But honestly I put two drops of oil from the body shop (oils of life) and use a beauty blender and it gives you a flawless, cakeless base. I probably should try using a brush with it but i can't imagine it working that well unless your concealing specific blemishes or using a small amount worked in with a cream to more of a tinted moisturiser consistency. I guess what makes this product so great for me is that you can literally make it as heavy or as light as you want. I really can't deal with most liquid foundations these days, it never looks natural. I feel like its either...cover my blemishes and look like I'm wearing make up or settle for less and not have my blemishes covered... I find the best thing about it is it's buildable, and not even in the same way that other foundations are..you can legit build up layer upon layer. Thank you Kevyn Aucoin for once in my life I actually found a colour match that works (SX08 - I'm mixed race with a yellow/olive skin tone) and the closest I could manage was Bobbi Brown before that in about warm natural. I've been colour matched with Mac - NC40 (I still think this isn't exactly my colour), Nars in stromboli, but I'd say SX08 is ever so slightly darker; just to give some colour references. I actually purchased mine online and prayed for the right match. I have to say this was after extensive research and browsing over colour swatches (not that helpful because of the different lightings). I would highly recommend going to a store and getting tested...maybe use an online shade matcher if you're really struggling. I'm now looking for a shade down and up now so I can conceal and bronze with the same product. I'm not a huge fan of cream products but this is worth it. Definitely one of the best I've tried so far. Give it a go if you're unsure I'd say. GL in finding your holy grail make up lovers. Forgot to mention try it for under eye bags...it's amazing...and this is coming from someone who's been hooked on mac prolonger concealer for the past 3 years.
