New formula!
5I owned the Desert Dusk back in 2018 and the shimmers were not that great, but now I bought it again and I have to say it's way better! The packaging is better, it's plastic inside and not cardboard, and the shimmers are so intense now! I’m so glad she changed the formula! Stunning palette.

Heard the Hype
3So this palette is far from bad. It has some beautiful colours and some are nicely pigmented. Having heard the hype about Huda beauty and in particular their eyeshadow palettes it was on my list for ages. I got an email through one day by chance stating 30% off and I went for it!! I was so excited to receive my palette, however, the afterthought of using the palette was ‘that’s alright’. Firstly, I was incredibly excited about the glitter colours and found them to be quite weak and it does get everywhere (yes correctly applied) so that was disappointing. I particularly found Cosmo a let down as this was a shade I was excited for. Twilight also did nothing for me at all, however, ‘blood moon’ is stunning, well pigmented and just... yes! Again, the basic shades are good and some have better pigmentation than others but for a palette that nearly costs £60 just absolutely not. I paid nearly £40 for it and I’m a little bit ‘meh’ at that to be honest. It’s a nice addition to a makeup box but really not the “must-have” I had the impression of and certainly not worth the price point in my opinion :)

2Beautiful shades and cool concept. However, it is SUPER basic for the price point. I was so excited to get a vibrant palette like this but the glittery shades are not vibrant enough (except for the actually pressed glitter that goes everywhere btw) and the matte shades are kind of chalky. The price of this palette suggested to me that I would be getting AT LEAST ABH quality but it is unfortunately very underwhelming. For example, I have a wet n wild dupe for the Retrograde shade that performs so much better it honestly makes me think I must have gotten a bad palette! This is just my first impression but I think it is spot on. The colour story is nice and I am sure I will use it a lot just because I spent so much on it.

Magic...
4Really like this palette- it’s gorgeous! Some of the mattes take a lot of blending, building and playing about with though. The foils/glitters work well if patted on with a brush (I use ud all nighter to wet it first otherwise the fall out is awful) and last all day/night. Have attempted to use my fingers for the glitter like the tilbury palettes but failed- it’s a different texture and crumbles! Upon first application I was disappointed with it but take the time to play and it can be magic. So many looks to be created! Defo a good edition to your make up collection girls! Get it :)

Not as per expectations.
4I didn’t like the glitter shades. It’s too chalky. Matte shades are just ok. Kind of disappointed with this palette.
