Love it

This foundation spreads pretty smoothly and the shade 7N is a nice match for my neutral golden olive undertone, which to be honest is a pain to find a match. It doesnt turn ashy especially around my mouth area. The finish is quite skin like. Love it.

Not great

I bought this foundation because of the reviews on YouTube plus I’m a foundation addict. Oh boy! I used the colour guide on the Charlotte Tilbury website and they asked me what foundation I used in other brands so I put Mac NC15, Estee Lauder Doublewear Desert Beige and Doublewear Sand (I’m neutral). They advised me 5.5 and 6 but when I looked at the colour swatch it looked too dark so I went for a 5. The delivery was so good, I can’t fault CB and Hermes for that - but when I put the foundation on it was too dark for me and after 4/5 minutes it went even darker and sunk into my smile lines straight away. They looked awful and my smile lines aren’t even deep, after 1 and a half hours it was slipping off me and separating on my chin, I was so disappointed as I was so excited about this foundation. I am combination/oily so maybe it just wasn’t for me, but think I’ll be going back to Doublewear. If you are thinking about this foundation try and get colour matched or go a shade maybe two down then you won’t waste your money xx

I got this foundation the day it launched, I have been testing it for a while and it’s pretty good.

Amazing

This is the most beautiful foundation I have ever owned and tried. My skin looks flawless and airbrushed. The finish is definitely not completely matte as it has a beautiful glow at the same time, and is a beautiful powdery finish. It is definitely transfer resistant as I don't even need to powder! Only disadvantage to this foundation is it has a subtle fragrance which may not be suitable for sensitive skin - however I have sensitive skin and I have had no breakouts so far! Just beautiful.

Ok foundation but colour feels very orange

The finish of this foundation is ok when applied over well-moisturised skin. I found it difficult to blend with a brush and so used a damp sponge. I found it was a high-medium coverage on my acne prone skin, and could be built up to full on difficult areas. You can definitely feel it on the skin, but it doesn't look cakey. The finish is matte but not too dry, and lasts a decent amount of time. However, the colour of this foundation once dried doesn't reflect any natural skin tone I have seen (I have shade 2 Cool). It dries about two shades darker than when freshly applied so I'd recommend getting a shade lighter than you would think from the models in the photos. However, what makes it unwearable for me is that the tone is excessively peach/orange which is very unflattering and goes far beyond "cool" toned. That's something I've noticed in other CT complexion products too.

New favourite

This is my new favourite foundation. I usually go for dewy foundations but even though this isn’t dewy, I wouldn’t say it is matte like it says! It’s a stunning finish and makes your skin look flawless.

Not for me

I could not wait to try this! Unfortunately it didn’t work for me. I’ve been testing it all week, trying to make it work but it just won’t happen. I’ve tried this as suggested with the Magic Cream, my face became so oily and the foundation didn’t even last a couple of hours. Tried it without it, different primers, magic filter, setting powder. Nothing works. It looks very aging and unflattering on me. Very flat and it doesn’t last for more than two hours. My skin is combination with some enlarged pores, fine wrinkles and a few sun spots. The foundation is not full coverage on me, rather medium. It doesn’t make me look flawless or poreless The only way I can make it look decent is by mixing it with my MAC Face and Body. Ellis Faas magic veil is a much better foundation although not very long lasting and the coverage is buildable to medium. My colour in MAC Face and Body is N2. And Ellis Faas 103 and was matched on. CT website with the N4 which is a little bit lighter but can make it work. I’ll be buying Huda Beauty for a full coverage foundation. I used a sample and really liked the coverage and the way it looked on my skin! Radiant and flattering.

Oh so bad

Where to begin. I really tried to make this work. Failed at every attempt. This is not transfer-proof, and far from being sweat proof. Settles into every single crease. No concealer I applied blends well with it. Apply too much (3 pumps) and you will look like you're wearing a mask and even with just 1 pump, it's a mess. It really aged me. Can't get over how bad this is. For the record, I have normal to slightly dry skin.

Pretty good

This foundation is very nice and I have tried and tested it out in 33 degree heat in Paris over bank holiday week. I applied first thing in the morning and it still looked pretty good over 12 hours later, it needed a little powder foundation touch up once or twice around my nose but that was it. The foundation is quite liquidy so it smooths over the face nicely with pretty full coverage. I think it goes on best with a beauty sponge. Although initially matte, it did warm up within an hour and start to look shiny around my t zone without setting powder. I have tested a couple of primers underneath and works well with the two very different ones I have tried. I have also tried it without primer and just magic cream and it didn’t last anywhere near as well, 4-5 hours in and it started to break apart, especially on and around my nose, but that is common for me without a primer. Without a primer or moisturiser I feel it was quite dry looking until it warmed up to my face after around an hour (my skin is very normal), this is also the same with a silicone based primer. It is also not transfer proof which is one of the claims made about this foundation. The foundation match finder on the CT website also worked really well and suggested exactly the shade I needed based on my other foundations. Overall pretty impressed and I think it could suit most people, just use a good primer for your skin type, the Milk Hydro Grip primer is my favourite to pair with this foundation.
