Average-great

A good overnight mask, although a little overpriced for the ingredients.

Disappearing miracle

This soaks into my skin in a matter of seconds making it a really useful product to use just before you hit the pillow. (Much as I love my Holistic Silk PIllow Case I don't think it needs the de-creasing help my face does :) It smells lovely and fresh just like everything form this range and keeps my skin wonderfully protected through the night so I wake up without the usual dry cheeks I get in the mornings. Great price and does what it says on the tin.

Highly recommend!

I've got dehydrated, acne prone skin so I was a bit worried at first.. (And when I say acne I mean acne, not just some pimples) However, I was not disappointed at all. No breakouts or clogged pores. My skin feels refreshed.

You gotta love silicone...

1

Yes that's right, you better be a huge fan of silicones to appreciate this product, since pretty much every silicone substance and it's mother can be found here. Apart from silicone and water the only beneficial stuff is a small amount of Hyaluronic acid and a small amount of cranberry extract. This also seems to be a sort of copy of another Asian brands sleeping mask, that functions in a similar way. But that one contains a lot more antioxidant sources from various fruit extracts in larger amounts as well as green tea... Bottom line: since silicone is the major ingredient together with water, (hence the water bubbles thing), it pretty much works as a primer on steroids creating a barrier over the skin that on application creates condensation together with the Hyaluronic acid, trapping some moisture between the skin surface and the silicone. (Sort of like what would happen if one would be covering a moisturised face with plastic wrapping.. ;) Since some of the silicones here are of the volatile kind, this trapping function will diminish after a few minutes, which then feels like the product has absorbed, but really just means the skin can breathe again...;) for some this may bring a short term feeling of rehydration, but if you are breakout-prone or sensitive to silicones, my advice is to proceed with caution using this, since it may cause your skin to react. Using huge amounts of volatile cyclic silicones like cyclopentasiloxane is also at the moment under scrutiny since studies have indicated that inhalation of the invisible fumes that comes from the evaporation of these volatile types of cones may propose a heightened risk for hormonal disturbance affecting fertility and pregnancy. Since the evaporation thing is pretty much this products USP, I became a bit hesitant once I realised how this stuff works... I will say this though, for my dry, not so sensitive or breakout-prone skin - this did make my skin feel soft and smooth in the morning, but my pores were slightly dilated and I had some redness, like when flushed, on my upper cheek bones. My skin calms down after washing and my regular morning routine, and the softness remains throughout the day. But that is usually the result after using pretty much any moisture increasing mask, so for me this will sadly not become the staple in my skincare regime that I hoped it would be...

Too rich

1

I had been having a great run with my skin but despite looking good it is a bit dehydrated so I thought this would be perfect and it has great reviews from beautymouth's Caroline Hirons but after the first use it I found it was so rich it made my skin break out. A week later and the same thing happened on the second attempt. Reluctantly I will give this product away as its too rich for me and causing breakouts in places where I never had problems before! One star for fragrance and texture, not higher because of the results

I purchased this cream as I am currently going through a really dry patch with my skin. I put it on in the evening before I go to bed and wake up so refreshed! My skin feels fresh, hydrated and glowing! Highly recommend!
